Great video. My V3 ate an impeller vane, I may attempt to disassemble it now to check for internal damage. Thanks for posting, looking forward to Part 2

Those newer style balljoint presses are sick. I just got myself one from Matco and can't believe I used the old style for years. Those oil slingers have a tendency to overheat and weld themselves. A way to help keep that from happening is to do a routinely flush the system. Just changing the fluid won't clean out all the sludge, so running a flush kit will help you keep it clean. Just experience speaking lol

Thanks Justin! Only thing with that style ball joint press are they have tendency to rip the boot but if you are replacing it anyways its definitely way quicker! 💪. Yeah not too sure on the history of this thing but it had quite a bit of miles! Should be up and running soon!

If you ever want to learn how to do it properly reach out to me…
That casing design was engineered and thought of in Australia. My former boss and myself actually solved the whole sealed supercharger problem, vortech and CAPA performance hand in hand created the sealed gearbox design. It has been a hi light of my life.
Anyways, i assembled over 5k units in my time without rebuilds, which was my specialty… everything from, lapping gears, to double row input bearings…
I can even tell you how to properly set a seal seat properly…
Knowledge should be shared not stored.
Want the secrets? I know almost all of them…

since you seem to know about these. i have a very important question.
i have the same kit and of course it failed and i went ahead and orders it and did it myself. bought rebuilt kit from 928, it says it comes with everything but i noticed i didnt revive an oil slinger. is the slinger needed if i stay on top of my fluids? i have read mixed reviewed on this topic. grated i bought an oil slinger my only problem is i cant get the oil slinger to stop hitting the gear, or bottoming out when i flip it.

This plate is is the oil slinger plate and is known for coming loose and causing problems. you can buy thicker aftermarket versions - which is the one you were looking at on amazon from 928.

Damn bro, i had the same issue with my slinger, started to make grinding noises and i thought it was just the bearings. I had to send mine in to vortech for repair.
