My wife and I stopped by F40 during an extended trip through beautiful New England, I believe in 2018. Wayne was not there when we stopped in. We walked down the row of garage doors as I was telling my wife something about each car that was in the repair shop. At the third door we saw Roger and waved and called out his name. He waved us in to have a chat and take some photos . We probably spent 45 minutes talking and sharing stories. Roger was very friendly and very well spoken. He told us that he had to keep working to cover medical expenses for his wife's medical condition. My wife and I had a blast talking with Roger, whom I considered 'The Star of the Show'. It was a like a perfect visit with an old lost friend. I tune in from time to time to see if they are airing an older episode with Roger appearing.
Wow! Roger was the star to me. So smart, analytical, thinks and figures everything out. I could chat with him for hours. Would love to watch him work in person, smart man.
I'm from Conn. Several years ago, I took my wife home to Conn. and went quite out of our way to stop at F40. I walked into the sales/show room and there was Wqayne. I said hello and explained my trip from HI. to his shop as a highlite for me. He more or less dismissed me! He claimed to be very busy but there was merchandise on a couple shelves I could buy if I wanted something to take back. Never thought he was very personable but his dismissive, uninterested treatment to my wife and I certainly made a point! Never watched the show after. This artical proves my feelings for sure!!!

Wayne Carini had a habit of not showing how much he paid for the cars he bought. Some people said he would low ball people, especially recent widows, and NOT pay anywhere near what their cars were worth.

I watched a few of the episodes, but Wayne's personality always seemed to rub me the wrong way. He gave me an impression of a man born with a "silver spoon in his mouth". His arrogance and ego seemed to be hiding behind a facade of a friendly and generous person. I am surprised the show lasted as long as it did. Roger reminds me of my grandfather (also lifelong mechanic). I believe Wayne should have shown Roger his appreciation and treated him as the friend he was supposed to be. Wayne should have included Roger in the financial success of the television series.

A video about nothing. Supposed mis-treatment of Roger and a legal issue not specifically disclosed in the video. No tragic accident as stated in title.
I don't know either Wayne nor Roger, but truth is, watching the show, I was always very skeptical about the various "Barn Finds" they came across during the show. Most of the shows went like this. Wayne sweet talking some widow out of her late husband's "Old classic Car", then Wayne and the crew, sometimes including Roger, visit the barn to find that the Car is some very rare Ferrari that magically and with the North East salted winter roads mind you, has been sitting in the barn for decades and in relatively perfect condition. The car is towed back to the shop and Roger works his magic while Wayne chats up prospective buyers on the phone for an appointment to meet at some car show. Well, the car show ends up being Pebble beach and the car Now worth millions is sold to someone with very deep pockets...Funny, you never see Wayne lift a finger to work on any of the cars, except maybe to throw a bit of a spit shine on one during the show. The success of this show, including the "Barn Find" story line, has been repeated so many times on other shows that its statistically impossible that all of these "Barn finds" can possibly even exist, yet, you still see the shows with the same story and they keep finding those old "rare" Ferraris and Cobras in Barns everywhere...Right.
I think there are a lot of possible barnfinds in the US, cars were there in the 20th century quite cheap and their owners are ending their lifes. Also a lot of Americans have a lot of space to store cars.
Wayne and the network are a bunch of crooks. As far as anyone I know who were fans won't be watching and comeback of the show unless they do right by Roger. Screw the whole bunch.
Almost everyone that talks or is on screen on pawn stars gets paid for each episode, be at a different rate. They took Roger for a ride,he should sue them.
There is something missing to the story as this does not make sense. There are this and all sorts of stories none of which can be proven due to privacy laws except by Roger himself. Developing an infection while employed is not the same thing as being injured at work on the job. Some stories then have him not getting workers comp due to only being able to work part time after being injured. Except the comp would be based on when you were injured what was your status. This also overlooks so allegedly he had no insurance and an 80 year old also somehow also wasn't able to get medicaid either? No matter how you cut it if he was injured at work it would be covered or the employer, show or both would be getting sued. No mention of a lawsuit or even a challenge to the supposed refused workers comp claim why?
Yah it was a little hyperbolic in the title, but he tragic accident was the vague one that Roger suffered that left him unable to work for a period. Seems like that started the downfall of the show.
I've had enough of tv shows that make cars into frankensteins, I want more shows that restore then to, or close to original, it is unfortunate that one of the few shows that did it had all this going on...
In addition to the 'click bait' title, the repeated video clips and dreadful robotic narrator spoilt a potentially interesting update. I'd heard Wayne wasn't as nice as portrayed, but I always enjoyed watching the show, and will miss it.
Well after watching that I have lost all respect for Wayne. Been watching reruns in the UK but that stops now. How could he treat his head mechanic like that!! If it does manage a new series I for one will not be watching the LITTLE prima Donna.
Summary - Roger didn't get paid to appear on the TV shows! He only had his chief mechanics pay so couldn't pay his wife's health bill. Wayne's F40 company provided no health insurance!!
Unfortunately to get a life threatening injury which leads to a life threatening infection and sepsis is not hard to do.. The accident or cause could be as simple as being stuck by a infected piece of bare metal or a rose thorn! As our NZ Austin Healey President can vouch for as his wife was a nurse and saw the sign before he was so far gone. Months of intensive care followed and he fortunately came through but not as he was before the event.
Roger is 83 years old. Just like all of us, he had a salary, probably hourly wages, health insurance, and basic dental. He's not going to be in there 10 hours a day. I make six figures, have health and dental, and I also have two broken teeth I cannot afford to fix, because even with dental insurance a root canal and crown, and an implant, all together will cost me $8000 out of pocket. I don't have that kind of cash laying around! I have house payments, car payments, kids! So no surprise Roger cant cover the teeth. I think people don't understand how a show like this is nice, but it's not like some prime time show, this is a third string show, played on a long down the list channel, the stars get paid by the production company, and frankly I would be surprised if even wayne was making six figures per SEASON, he probably does it more for the fun and the fame and it helps sell cars. So should Wayne and the car show just write a giant check to Roger? Well, people got together and sent him $30k, that's great. But I think this is blown way outta shape. I am also suspecting that Roger's dismissal was probably from the accounting department or somebody who had not seen Roger for months, knew he was sick, was not coming back, and it was merely a formality. Roger is awesome. Wayne is less a car buff, and more of a used car salesmen. But let's call a spade a spade, I think the treatment of Roger was blown out of proportion. And hey 13 years of doing anything, including a TV show, it a very respectable run. Star Trek only had 3 seasons.
Wayne is a sleaze bag used car salesman. He sold a friend of mine a Porsche with a branded title washed through a southern state. Wayne refused to accept any responsibility.

I've never been able to understand why it's called "Pebble Beach", surely it should be 'Cobble Beach', you know, after equine anal ejecta!
This is extremely sad, it's too bad that the human element can be so destructive.
Greedy Carrini always came a cross to me as someone looking to rip someone off , to not to take care of his old friend is discusting .
Wayne and the network are a bunch of crooks. As far as anyone I know who were fans won't be watching and comeback of the show unless they do right by Roger. Screw the whole bunch.
Exactly.
WTF! Did you accidentally forget to include the accident? Shameful.
Another channel I will never look at again.
The bottom line is, Wayne screwed Roger.
It’s always the short guys like Wayne💩
Man. a runt !
Little man syndrome
Agree, something about that clown I don't like
@@Turbogn87 Probably his fuckin Moustache 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My man!!!!@@Theoriginalbigbrillo
Friend or not, Roger should not have been treated like that. Very disappointed in Wayne. I had one of his cars.
Almost everyone that talks or is on screen on pawn stars gets paid for each episode, be at a different rate. They took Roger for a ride,he should sue them.
When it comes to Wayne, everything's for sale
Including friendship it seems
Wayne seriously mishandled and cheated Roger. Roger should sue Wayne for millions.
I hope Roger is still alive and doing well.
Page of wonder = I wonder how the title is linked to the story.
CLICK BAIT ONCE AGAIN - DONT WATCH FOLK
WTF is with the car upside down in flames ???????
Just more bullshit to get your attention
Page of Wonder? These bots should stick to selling extended warranties and time shares. what a crock ...
I've had enough of tv shows that make cars into frankensteins, I want more shows that restore then to, or close to original, it is unfortunate that one of the few shows that did it had all this going on...
The guy is arrogant! But then, he is from Connecticut!
Nobody has to work to pay their bills in their mid-80s, unless they managed their finances poorly up until then.
If Roger was paid his salary: that doesn't mean he was undercover contract to be paid by the production company as well ~
The show ended because it sucked and it lost all viewers.
In addition to the 'click bait' title, the repeated video clips and dreadful robotic narrator spoilt a potentially interesting update. I'd heard Wayne wasn't as nice as portrayed, but I always enjoyed watching the show, and will miss it.
Don't miss Wayne at all. I think he was an opportunist and to advantage of many individuals, Roger was just one of them.
Well after watching that I have lost all respect for Wayne. Been watching reruns in the UK but that stops now. How could he treat his head mechanic like that!! If it does manage a new series I for one will not be watching the LITTLE prima Donna.
Disgusting behaviour on behalf of Wayne Corrini. Always had my doubts about him. You don't behave like that with friends..
Summary - Roger didn't get paid to appear on the TV shows! He only had his chief mechanics pay so couldn't pay his wife's health bill. Wayne's F40 company provided no health insurance!!
Wow
typical car dealer and his abusive employee treatment
it wasnt a tragic, it was a enormus ego
Where is "the tragic accident" you so irresponsibly talk about??? Organize yourself before saying nonsense...
The show can stay canceled. Shame on him for taking advantage of a friend.
wayne has a LARGER THAN LIFE personality? Has this fool ever seen the show?
If born in 1936, he’s 88+
Wayne is a sleaze bag used car salesman. He sold a friend of mine a Porsche with a branded title washed through a southern state. Wayne refused to accept any responsibility.
I followed this show for little while and over all Wayne was a total ass hole to Roger, not to mention his total arrogance.......
Page of Wonder ... Yes, I WONDER why anyone would watch another of you videos.
Definitely Not what people like to see, hear.😰
They glossed over Wayne's treatment of his friend. I've lost respect for him.
F UA-cam for allowing this.
I always enjoyed the scenes with Roger Barr.
guys vote this down, not up- this is just AI word salad
I must have missed the Tragic Accident !
