Tula is such a gentle sweetest little girl. Love you all❣️🙏🏼
Oh I have an little old man 15 yrs and counting sooo thank you for this !
You're welcome.
Feed raw bro!!! kibble is CANCER !
@@atradies007 Update My old man is 16 now been on kibble n canned his whole life.. while yes it can be healthier to feed raw .. kibble is still good option for those who can’tfeed raw … IMO just don’t get the cheapest crap food if at all Poss .. ie one where corn or grains are in top three ingredients 🤷🏻♀️ (Fyi I feed Gentle Giant) I used to feed such expensive food but found this brand to meet all his needs .. the vet gives us additional supplement info for doggie support. I deeply appreciate it
Bone broth is a great way to get Collagen into your pets . Helps leaky gut , colon health etc, just ensure to scrape off the hard fat after making. Made such a difference to my dogs. It works great to stimulate appetite . Marrow bones are the best to use. How to make on my channel. Shameless plug : ) Thanks Dr Jones : )
@vegeta420z Of cause it contains ACV, You need the acidity to break down the carcass bones and get the marrow out.of the lamb femur marrow bones. It is cooked for 24 hours, cooled for 24 hours so the Lard,(hard and unhealthy fat) can be removed, leaving behind a smooth creamy , very strong Bone Broth after very careful sieving to avoid any bone splinters getting through.
@vegeta420z This made me smile! My daddy was an outdoorsman and Am. Indian. He wasted no part of any animal. We were raised on brains, feet, and every part in between. He and Mom were incredibly agile, sharp as tacks, humorous, healthy, into their 90's, and they "lived" til they died!
Very good points, thank you.
@@VeterinarySecrets my dogs hip hurts him real bad and that's I I am up at 4am..can any one tell me something to help him. He hasn't been hurt aches

Hi a doc love your vids 🙌🏻 what brand is that collagen it was kind of hard to see the label and how much for 50lbs? Thank you doc🙏😄
What collagen Powder do you recommend? Thank you for you’re excellent videos!!!😊
Thank you Dr Jones .......blessings
You're welcome.
Thank you for the information. At what age should we start adding it into our dogs food? My dog has environmental allergies and is 8 years old a shitzu. I love your videos!! Already learned so much from you.
Hi Dr Andrew & little Tula & thank you for another great video with great content. ♡
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was feeding my Beagle kibble & tinned for years due to pain standing with arthritis but recently have improved my health so instead of tinned I make up some beef & tripe mince & add veg/fruit nuggets with eggs & liquid/gel bone broth & he loves it. I did start initially with brown rice but one of his lipomas got massive again so stopped that hoping for it to shrink again by eliminating them. Definitely worth feeding better when you add up all the extras you have to give them to keep healthy when the right food in the first place removes the need of them. Thanks Dr Jones : )
Tula is an angel!
Thanks for your help and information about collagen.
You're welcome.
Wow!! Thank You Dr. For This Exciting News!! Please Stay Safe and Well!!

You're welcome.
Tula is such a love.. and both Pippie and Tula are kiss pups.. super cute!!
Hi doc, is it OK if I give it for puppies or better wait to adult?
Which one is good for pets fish/ bovine collagen? Thanks
Steve Guti , 2 weeks ago you asked for prayers for you old pal and I answered you with the same situation happening to my shepherd Marley. I can't find you in the comments so I'm reaching out here in case you see it. I have been wondering how you and your pal were doing , and to share that my wonderful Marley has crossed the rainbow bridge this week. We had been a team for 16 years. Just him and me.
The emptiness I feel is still very raw and the tears arrive like waves . The waves will get smaller, the ocean will retreat, I know. My thoughts tonight are with you Steve. I hope your pal is still holding strong and getting better. Thank you for listening, God bless anyone who is loosing or have lost a best friend. 💜💙💚
Tears in my eyes reading this. I hope the pain of losing Marley has become a bit more tolerable over the last year. You know he is always watching over you, and wants to see you happy. Perhaps there is another animal out there who needs you in his life just like you need them. Marley will give you his blessing if it's meant to be, I am sure of it!
Wonder if Steve ever saw your msg. Prayers for both of you as you process your grief. & prayers for all our furry loved ones!
Thank you so much
You're welcome.
Thank you! My little man is 15! Shih Tzu mix🥰
Happy to help.
What synchronicity! I was just going to ask you about giving collagen to cats. I bought a huge jar of it for my Dad & ended up spilling almost 1/2, the floor is clean, but I couldn't give it to him & didn't want to waste it, so thought about giving it to my cats. I have one kitten who is very small still, she is underweight, not sure about giving it to her. Her appetite is good but she is still a bit bony. AND BTW, you're info about their cold/flu has worked WONDERFULLY, she is getting past it & so are the other feral ones. THANK YOU!!!
Happy to help.
@@VeterinarySecrets ; I've already touted your channel to a bunch of friends of mine, hopefully, they'll take my advice & watch your vids & try your products....:-}

You're welcome.
Thank you, can i ask. Is it okay for an eleven year senior dog with a swollen liver and dirty lungs to consume collagen? Thanks 🙏🏻
I've been doing a bit of searching for some of these studies on dogs with collagen. Can you share them? Do you know of any dog based studies that have been conducted? I'd love to see them...or engage you or other vets to discuss the same! Thanks!
Hi there my cat has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, what supplement would you recommend for her?
Can you plz also tell the product company
Can I use my collagen powder for my cats
Very interesting
Thank you.
How can I but things from your site?
Is the 500mg/20lbs dose still enough?
Can we increase the dose if needed?
Do you think this may help with a collapsed trachea?
Is it good for OUR pain too 🥺 I need something for my painful back and hips 😫 I want be happy for my kitty
Can they use my collagen powder?
Poderia ter tradução 😅
Please correct me if I am wrong - is that not what Hyuralonic Acid does? It helps build synovial fluid between our joints? Does it also create collagen?
Good question
Thank You Doc wondering what would be handy for itching please in dogs my boy is fed well no packet food walks daily Thank You 💥🤍

Please check my older videos. I'm pretty sure I have made a couple on that topic. I think it's on my allergy playlist.
Hi Doc! Is it safe for me to give my dog sour/old milk? My dog is 15y old and I've never given it to her before. Of course, the milk is processed.
Also, what's your take on coconut oil for arthritis in dogs?
ua-cam.com/users/VeterinarySecretsvideos
Your dog is so cute ❤️
Thank you:)
Can you buy the vitamin collagen that I take and give to my dogs?
Check the ingredients to make sure it doesn't contain any flavors or sweeteners. Things like xylitol are toxic to dogs and cats. It's much easier to buy some beef bones or chicken wings and boil them to make your own bone broth. To extract more collagen, add a Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to the cooking water.
❤️
Thank you for this, I was searching for a collagen Supplement for my senior girl , but wasn't sure if dogs could have ones for people
Glad it was helpful. Just make sure to check the ingredients if it has additives like xylitol that’s toxic to pets.
@@VeterinarySecrets yes definitely no xylitol ,
She is 7.5 kg , si would she still get one eight of teaspoon ..
For joints is there a preference between Bovine or Marine ??
Thank you ,
@@deannalynch7092 did you ever get an answer about bovine vs marine? Great question!
@@MK-ih6wp no, not from here, but from what I've read since, Bovine is more for Joints, while Marine is more for Skin, but I've seen Human supplements that have both
Hi Tula!🥰
She says hi back:)
🐕👍✌
I have a question I have a 14 year old dog who is a long haired Chi/dachound mix . What would make him hyperventilate every night at the same time from 8pm until bedtime. He pants like he's scared of something but nothing is there to be scared of. He is taking thyroid med now for about 11yrs but otherwise healthy.
Any update? That sounds worrying. Hope he recovered.
Hi Doctor.. Thank you for your videos and teachings. P!ease would go mind help me with th is. I have almost 10 years old German Shepherd, excellent health!! Good point, m mobility, etc. I have been given to her Dasuquin for three years, one a day, one month ago the vet said she had a little arthritis, very mild. Is Dasuquin enough for this problem, or I have to buy turmeric cur cuma,?? The one you said we can get in a Amazon, this is for people, but is this product ok with Dogs??? I get too collagen for me, a good one, what collagen is good for dogs?? Can I g I've so many supplements in a day???Thanks again!!! God bless
Point was a mistake in typing, I meant joints.
I adopted a cat around two weeks ago from a woman that found him living under her garage. She thought someone moved and left him because he didn't act feral. She took him to get neutered and his shots then she gave him to me. Like I said it's been two weeks and he's been fine. Yesterday I noticed he left a couple of bloody marks on the back of the toilet and he was crying quiet a bit. Today, I noticed blood in his stool and it was looser than usual; this was the first time I had seen this happen. I am wondering if maybe he has a fissure and if collagen supplementation would help heal him?
Ensure he is de-wormed first
@@VeterinarySecrets Thank you SIr!
Can I give bone broth to a diabetic dog?
I have a 17 year old female Himalayan cat with kidney disease she's doing good been on CBD or oil and vitamin for the kidneys but do you have a recipe to make wipes for her body to clean for that also repels fleas without having to put her on medication what about coconut oil rubbing it on her body
I rubbed my cat in coconut oil once in desperate attempt to remove fleas. I still regret it!
Also unflavored gelatin
Ok, Thanks because I was thinking of that. But how much for a dog of 10 kilos?
@@nati6969 a small small sprinkle on the food NOT TOO MUCH. may constipate your dog\. but it is also great for diarrhea it makes the feces stick together and you can take it yourself external collagen will never absorb it must be taken from the inside out and have no other ingredients besides gelatin
alicia libbey I’m sorry but please answer if you can: what is external collagen?? 😢
@@geewiz8253 i didnt realize i meant internal. That would be just a simple unflavored gelatin
Most commercial Bone Broth has garlic and onion powder. Is it still safe.
No garlic and onion is toxic to dogs. Make your own
Is coconut oil good for terriers
did you put peanut butter on your hands and face before filming that dog is suspiciously kissy kissy
She's just like that:)
Where is the best place to get beef knuckle bone?
Find a meat processor. We have a meat market that gives them to us for free if we can catch them before they go into the dumpster! We used to get them to save the scrap that they would catch off of their saw blade. Pounds of great marrow end up in the dumpster - what a waste!
how can i get my dog to drink more water, nwhat can i use to helpwith dog bad breath

Please check my playlist on dental health. thanks.
Dr.Jones what Brand?? Human or Pet Type?
I'd like to know that too.
I think there is no pet or human type. It is what it is, just collagen. But I, for example, take one vanilla flavour, and maybe for a pet best go for plain collagen.
Hopefully Dr. Jones will respond but in the mean time I just wanted to say that collagen is collagen ; ,) and what matters is the dosage.
pancreatitis? what can you recommend. I have an aging Labrador female 14yrs who has this. She does not want to eat a lot of the foods I prep for her she is so sick of chicken she wont eat it unless she's half starved even lean meat. I don't think we have a year with her maybe much less she also has hip and joint issues. Pill time is not her favorite time of day LOL!
Hi. Please search for my older videos. I'm pretty sure I have discussed pancreatitis in the past.
@@VeterinarySecrets thank you i will
@@VeterinarySecrets all of her tests came back negative when she had bblood work done she was given something for tummy upset I hate to think it's just my cooking lol!
Nancy Volker She could be allergic to Chicken
@@geewiz8253 she didnt have a problem before but that's a good point it could have developed from eating i as much as she was. Im trying to get her to eat her prescription kibble but she has to be starving shes not eating meats that much either it really seems to be the pancreas
so can I give my cats My human collagen???
Hi doc i have 7 dogs 3females and 4males
That's a lot of dogs:)
I take Magnesium Malate for hip pain and works for me. Now I have been giving my aging dachshund it also because he could barely walk but moves ok now. I will try the collagen also. My guy is 18 and was doing ok till the neighbor poisoned him with Roundup a couple years ago. Brought him back from death but he is not doing well anymore. So just trying to make his final time here as pleasant as possible.
Your dog is lucky to have such a wonderful owner. Glad you found something that helped you both.
Your neighbor should go to jail for hurting an animal, unless it was an accidental poisoning.
Roundup is bad for ALL living things!!
@@MK-ih6wp My neighbor did it to be spiteful since grass was a bit tall by the fence. Not all states recognize this as a crime. It happened in PA so nothing could be done.
Can I give my pet human collagen supplement?
Yes, but please check for any toxic ingredients.
DON'T FEED COLLAGEN! It caused seizures in my dog!
Look it up online!
I'm sorry to hear that, I hope your dog is okay. Kindly please share your sources. I’d appreciate it so I can cross check.
Uuh.... would you care to share the source of your information so we know it’s legitimate?
