I keep them out now but will treat them myself as they still come sit on my door step where yhwy both scratch 😂🤣 thank yoo Andrew 🥰
I am going to make this for our 4 dog. One of our Labradoodles has Lymphoma (in remission) and we don't want to use harsh chemicals on her.
I do have 5 Lemon Thyme plants so my dogs will smell extra-delicious! 🤣
Thank you so much! ❤❤
Sounds great!
We live near a creekbed and every time we go outside, I have been brushing my Catahoula with a wire brush and then spraying her coat all over (including ears, belly and paws) with pure coconut oil….no ticks or fleas all year and we had a ton of rain this year. She’s in the woods daily. Plus she smells great! I think it keeps her coat too slippery for them to hang on?? Or maybe the fleas and ticks don’t like the smell? Also, no more scratching anymore 🙂
How does it work with black flies? Also do you clean off the coconut oil each evening or just leave it on?
@@journeythegoldenretriever No flies, no fleas, no ticks…and I rub it in her coat and in her ears and even on her paws…which she licks off. But my Catahoula is short haired and this breed can be sensitive to ornamental grasses and plants.
Honestly her fur absorbs it and no issues if I keep it up daily.
Can you tell me do you dilute it with water? I have a jar of organic coconut oil & I used it when my furgirl had matts.
💖Thank you so much💖
Thankyou for this great natural idea! Lucky Tula to have you as a dad!
grateful to you.. so many os out of the box healers get rejected by mainstream just because you are truthful and real. hugs.
Love your videos and love this concoction. I might suggest to put a lid on the pot when simmering. I know when making essential oil, some is lost in the steam when it is uncovered.
I'm so glad I found you and your natural flea and tick repellent.
your the absolute best Dr. Jones

@@VeterinarySecrets 🙂
How about using lemon essential oil, and thyme essential oil with the apple cider vinegar? Thanks for the promotion of Holistic Veterinary principles!!
That works too and less work on your part!
Herbalist here. 👋
You have to be careful with essential oils because they are VERY concentrated. What he did here was make an herbal infusion, which isn't as toxic. The essential oils that are drawn out in this method are very diluted, and the other compounds that are in the plant material help balance it.
Essential oil is best .just dilute
Watch out-essential oils can be fatal for your cats!
One drop of each per cup of water, possibly? I know theyre very strong. But, for disabled ppl, this is much easier. TIA@Momma_Tomma
Great stuff, and simple to do.
Here in Norway we have only ticks. Lots. And I used lots of repellants on my Tibby mix as we are out a lot. I found out Coconut oil was very effective. But I always check her fur. TX for exellent tips dr.😊

Looks like we’ve got a little mix-up - Tulip or Tula, either way, she is an absolute gem!
Dr Jones you remind me of the movie Easy Rider. Free Love, Anti War and Give Peace a Chance. One of my greatness honors has been buddies remember me by my dog's name. Thanks.
What is your dog's name?
@@pamanderson1417 I have 2 K9s now. Sweet Polly (courtesy of my stepdaughter) and Purebred... She followed us home when we were patrolling the neighborhood.
I have recommend this channel to others, and I will definitely keep doing it.❤🎉
Love this, I do have all ingredients and I used these products after bathing my dog who got fleas and ringworm from a cat. After bathing her i rinsed her off with Apple cider vinegar dried her then dabbed apple cider vinegar on her visible spots. I then mixed thyme and lemon into coconut oil and rubbed onto her skin. A few days later after repeats ( not bath) and she was all good in less than a week. I used diamatious dirt on her bed and her beautiful coat. No drs for us.
ls the mixture shelf stable or does it need to be stored in the fridge? Thank you!
This concoction should be shelf stable as it has both acetic and citric acid in it
Wonderful!!!! Not crazy expensive and wow it works!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks DrJones❤️🐶😻🤗🇦🇺
Yay I finally have a better kitchen utensil then someone lol I’m a first time home renter and still getting stuff for my kitchen 😅 I have a netted strainer 😅😅 But ima deff use this I took in a cat that was a stray and I didn’t think about fleas😭😭 hope this works🫶🏼🫶🏼 Thank you!!!❣️Will update❣️
You can probably just zest the lemon and then chop it up, it might be less hassle…
Ive used food grade dianouse earth in a shacker on my cats. But will try this also. Thank you.
The problem with DE is if it gets on your cats cornea it will scratch it up.
🌠You🤓 are a 🥰Godsend🫶Blessed💞Be🤩 ❣️Amén ✨

You should also spray the feet as well.

Thank you for this 😊
That's an old fashioned herbal tincture you are making. No doubt it wirks snd eill have their fur sndd coats looking shiny too.👍💕
Thanks doc!!! I’m always looking for natural remedies that actually work and are safe for my pets. I have tried several of your remedies and I am convinced that you really are helping us to be better owners of these beautiful creatures. I say 8/9 out of 10 your remedies work!! Thank you!!!!!
Thank you so much. We recently moved to GA from the midwest. Our totally indoor cats are suffering terribly from fleas. Two bomimgs snd flea baths did nothing. I'm buying these items today. Fingers crossed! 🤞
I have always thought that anything citrus is no good for cats?🤷🏼♀️🤔
Great product ! Thanks
Dr. Jones
Since citrus EOs are not safe for cats, would this spray really be OK???
Wondering the same thing. We've also used citrus as a *cat* repellant. Not sure the cats would put up with having it actually sprayed on them. I can see them all going nuts.
My sense would be that a pure essential oil would be much, much more concentrated -- plus this is boiled in water.
👍thanks Doctor .
The dog is going to smell great. I use a coffee filter. 😉
Lovelovelove ❤ this alternative for my pets! love this channel TY!!!
I thought Limonene was toxic for cats.
Thank you very much for your wholesome advise
I wish I had seen this a few days ago. I gave all three of our pups simparica last night. They've been treated with this in the past with no problems. But this morning when we got up my sweet girls eyes are strange looking. She seems ok other than that but its got me worried and I cant afford to go to the vet again.
Try a tiny bit of milk thystle seed powder mixed into their food to detox the liver.maybe an eighth tsp or less.
@@Sara-od2li thank you!
@@jessiep2471 for some reason my other replies were not staying I wasn't sure if it was because of the product link that I referred to but he has a liver tincture that is both for people and animals because he's a natural path and a veterinarian. He also has a chart that says how much of powder or a tincture to use.
I'd do some activated charcoal as well.
