Doubt is the best thing we can have as humans. You definitely have been able to inject doubt on somebody's mind.
good way to compel the mind to reason and question the reason. but only concern might be, that in this quest one would either be happier than ever (as I am) or feel distraught (as I used to)... but in anycase... clarity of confusion shall prove more empathetic than clarity of thought.

yeah, most people just follow religion without thinking that much, My family is also Muslim but not that religious so I used to call myself Muslim, Also I grew up with secular thoughts because of my family and my secular school, and with fascination with science. So when I came across some more religious things, I found that hard to believe, I made excuses to stay religious then I just accepted I was an atheist, and Vimoh you helped a lot, these videos helped me to shape my points, and positions better.

I am an ex-muslim atheist. It feels great to be able to get out of such dogmatic thinking and mindset.
My journey began with mufassil islam( Bangladeshi British ex-muslim), Vimoh (indian atheist), apostate prophet(turkish ex-muslim), galib kamal and haris sultan(Pakistani atheist and reading richard dawkins and many others
I don't know about other people. I love Vimoh but hate Apostate prophet. I mean Apostate has literally made a duo with a christian preacher just to attack islam. 😂
@@CVR-qt8dn yeah... I have seen so many colors in people since i became atheist. Today i find most of them are dogmatic in different ways, like some of them are extremely narcissist. Some are arrogant, some uses other blind religious people and rig money from them like Indian ex Muslim sahil is to afraid to talk about other religion's dogma which is not a problem to me, but which makes me wonder is he promotes hinduism yet he always announce Himself godless agnostic person. It's their life, they can do whatever they want to do. I just feel sorry to see how religious people become so stupid and let other to rig them off.

@@zarifahmed2023 Absolutely not. I don't take david wood seriously. His videos are only based on his hatred of Islam. I mean , He laughed at the prophet's splitting of moon and commented that scientifically it isn't possible, but then he is told a similar story in the bible and his laughter disappears in a second. And he was trying to give apologetic justifications. He is nothing but a hypocrite 😂

What amazes me is his ability to stay calm when she said he was the one who made her doubt her religion. I become so happy in a "gotcha" kind of sense when i debate with any religious friend of mine and they concede even a minor point. Really amazing that he stayed calm and collected and not even a smile on his face.
I left Islam when I was around her age. I am 35 now and despite trying to find some truth in Islam, I fail to see anything convincingly divine about it. I have also helped many people come to this realization.
I was an atheist now i accept Islam please come back

I'm an atheist from a Hindu family and I have tried so many times to have a logical discussion with my family with respect to religion and its fallacies. The caller is so self-aware and honest, it's tough to get something like this in my family.
How do you cope up with them? Are you singled out? Or they're understanding enough to agree with disagreements?

she is in early stage of mental freedom. when i understood the concept of atheism or world without god then some type of exposition happens in my mind. suddenly everything makes sense and i realise concept of god and religion is stupid. just like big bang after mental explosion my mind is now in super calm state and i appreciate life and nature more and more.
Hey Vimoh, I was in a very similar situation when I was in Class 11-12th. I was born in a Muslim family, but they are not like conservative Muslims.
If I talk about myself, I was never inclined towards religion since childhood. I always had a rational mindset, and this led me to leave religion completely. It's been past two years since I moved towards more rationalistic approach, and I never frame my judgement based on others skin colour, gender, religion, caste, etc.
Lastly, I'm loving this phase, this approach to life being an Agnostic-atheist and rationalist. Your videos helped me a lot in thinking with a more humanistic approach.

Many people say that going to the temple makes them feel relieved and peaceful. I think it needs some sort of psychoanalysis to understand that it's not going to the temple which makes them feel peaceful but the their belief on this idea that going to the temple will make them feel peace is the real game here. They are so much subconsciously convinced of it that they truly devote themselves to it.

Or otherwise like how some defend temples, God is formless and have deities for focus or concentration. Once achieved that threshold, they need no longer.

Whether it is (ex)muslims, (ex)mormons or other people expressing their doubts I am always struck by how well-intended and genuine they are. Irrespective of the exact beliefs: I always feel the doubts display the striving for good in people. Very humbling and very human.

My journey towards Atheism begin when I read a quote by European scholar "Never believe in anything if you have even a single scope of doubt". I'm mad at myself till date that I can't remember his name who changed my life forever but my Guess is that he was "Rene Descartes"
I was in 7th, 8th or 9th class (can't remember that too😔). I had this chapter on European scholar's in history textbook, Maharashtra State Board !
I completely relate to her state of mind. Different people invest in different things physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. And when the foundation of something you believe in so much is shaken, it takes a while to find your bearings. For me, this happens with people I have met in life and not religion.

There was (and kinda still is) this damning existential crisis which I got during the time I started to doubt the religion, doubting what if there is nothing after death, and what if all these are probably made up answers by humans just to comfort themselves and by some to exploit the gullible.
That was so fascinating and downpushing at the same time 😄.
And at that time, there was no internet with me and I never thought there will be many people who must have thought like this. Felt so lonely back then.
When you believed theres an answer about existence with certainty and then start doubting it, it hits so differently.
And I think I kinda learnt to cope with it. After all it is not like there is "nothing" after my death, atleast there will be people who know me and might talk about me, and probably I might change some paths in the world, hopefully in a progressive way.
Women who want to leave religion in indian society its only way is be financially independent. There is no other way.

i can relate to this as an xmuslim. When i started doubting in my teens i used to have panic attacks and would get lost in thoughts for a very long time. But as you said i now have found that freedom.

There's answer to everything if you know where to look. Reading or memorizing Qur'an isn't sufficient. I'm not against personal choice of the caller but I'd rather find answers in the books than asking someone about something or watching something on UA-cam 😅 that's all. 'It's her choice' though 🙂
I'm definitely in agreement about books being more vital than youtubers like me. But there is more actual knowledge on youtube in general compared to all the religious texts in the world.

I said about the questions she has at this point, The answers are there in the books you just need to have some patience and determination to find it. Because I'm telling this from a personal experience. Once i was also struggling with similar dilemma it took me more than 2 years to find answers for all my questions. I learned it the hard way. UA-cam was never been in my sources. Yeah, I'm on agreement with your point about content being so rich, But that's THE issue because often people get more confused than before after consuming so much algorithm fed content. I hope you're getting my point.
