I have the same one been using it for a while works pretty good nothing wrong with mine i play movies all the time also have a camara hooked to it i think you just got a crappie one.
I let a professional install mine and it works perfect with the steering controls and everything. You probably should’ve did the same! This is a great head unit!
It works just fine, The kit i had bought didn't have all the parts because it was a returned Item, but after I got the new kit with everything in it, it's just fine now.

Its definitely better then the duel ones I have seen.
I have this in my truck and I love it. I have no problem using the DVD or CD in it. If hooked right you can't have a movie while driving. If you go around it you can have a movie playing while drive for the kids. No problem with mine. I love mine.
Its not bad, but mine broke the first time i put in a cd, and the screen could be a liitle more clear,

Are you frequently changing head units aside from these 2? Curious as to if your used to something different from pioneer. I actually did something similar, but in reverse. I bought an s51bt for my F250 and ended up switching to the AVH-120bt. My go to unit is the Sony XAV-AX100, but I saw this one and loved the look. I switched from the s51bt strictly because I wanted a touchscreen. I’ve had good luck with mine. The screen brightness is ok, I see where you could have an issue but I just set my dimmer to 48(brightest it would go) and added 10 to the brightness. The eq on it is great, it even made my scosche speakers sound decent at higher volumes(shitty speakers I’m aware, but I cant afford p1683s ATM. The layout of the unit is nice. The volume buttons are a little annoying, but you get used to it. Your playback/charging issue could be that you need a data transferring charger cord. For the price, you can’t be too upset with it. I’m not a kenwood/JVC guy in the slightest and again would usually go with the XAV head unit, but pioneer did great with this unit. I don’t see using the CD player anytime soon and could do without that mech, but I’d recommend it. The only thing I’d change if I could would be the ability to import custom wallpapers.
I have the Pioneer Avh120BT. ironically i got at Walmart in the clearance section for 67.00 from 119.00. I think it’s great, good feed back on the touchscreen, simple user interface and basic display. Reminds me of what a factory touchscreen would be in my car and I also have the maestro steering wheel control interface from Best buy for 49.99 it works for any car all you do is flash it with your computer.
That thing is $175.00 right now at Walmart

Mines work great! No its not a "Dream Machine" with super out of this world 4k HD. but it gets the job done. If your looking for that type of head unit then expect to shell out $300 - $500. This unit is cost efficient with all the bells and whistles. "kids" and "electronics" DONT MATCH! That was your downfall. But What more could one want out of a $120 head unit! 😐 I hooked up my amp, subwoofers and tweets. Very well satisfied...
@Aaron Czechlski yep! It's pretty much standard now on most units! Even if you get an old one it's not difficult to convert the wires.
Do you have problem where u have to forget the device and connect back ? *** Bluetooth ***
So the green wire let you ground the break out ? Most pioneers wont let you and need to run a toggled switch

This same unit now goes for over $300 and good luck finding one for 119.00 🤣 not anymore. You have to catch em at Walmart now before the resellers.
just got mine at Walmart for 127$ it was the last one and then 3 minutes later another guy tried to get it from us

I have the same radio and after I installed it , I get a small buzzing sound every time the radio is on . What could it be ?? Please help it drives me crazy every time I use the radio
I’d guess a wiring issue. Be sure no wires are touching or crossed and of course your grounds need to be secured well.
I have that same system. If u want it brighter you have to go to adjust picture then you can change those settings amd make it brighter also change the dimmer. Also I don't know what you are talking about bro. U might just not know enough about car stereos or something because i am able to mirror my phone. And the usb port does play when i connect my phone so yea its not as bad as u say it is
Yes I did all that, I feel like Its my truck as the stereo is higher up by the windshield and there is more glare off of it. And I dont hate it, there are just better models out there for 20 more dollars!!

I am not sure what you mean on your screen?? You need to go into settings and turn on Bluetooth, you can turn settings on and off. I believe!!

So you’re telling me not to buy it because the screen quality isn’t great which idc about you have a cd stuck in it which idc about because I use usbs and my phone like most people do nowadays so what’s the big problem why should I not buy it if the problems you have with it are literally not a problem at all (for me anyways) all I care about is if it plays music and it works that’s it
If you don’t care about cds why would you buy this unit and not a cheaper one without CD?

You can add one mic, I cant remember if there is a spot for another one, I want to say yes, that there is a 3.5mm jack that i use to hook up the steering wheel controls too also,

It's not that bad but there's definitely thing's that I don't get like for instance it's seems the lowest frequency for subs is 80hz hopefully I am mistaken as it is a sin not to have 50hz minimum

I don't know about the CD not ejecting? But the rest of your problems have to do with you not hooking it up right. The instructions tell you the rear AUX is for 3 RCA video, audio left, audio right, then you plug that AUX RCA wire into a RCA to USB2. Then you can mirror anything to the screen as far as video and audio. Then you need a bypass wire to watch video or to mirror while driving. Let's say you want to mirror Google Maps while driving. Then you need all of this. You can also order a remote control for this unit. I might post a video of my 120BT MIRRORING.
This model doesn't have the mirroring option. But yes I had it hooked up correctly. Tha ks for watching

Yeah but the screen its self isn't that bright, and its low quality.

So I have the same one, AVH-120BT, but the screen went dark. The Bluetooth still works and everything but the screen won’t turn on. The volume buttons still function and light up. I tried pressing the home button but still nothing. Any suggestions?

It would’ve been better if you would’ve shown all these defects while the head unit was in a vehicle and on operating mode so you can physically see the defects hearsay is not a good way of getting the message through
I have an issue with this unit.
1. The unit can periodically have a "10" error and eldritch invocations start screeching through my speakers which have to be remedied by restarting the car which is terrible if you're on long road trips.
2. THERE IS NO MICROPHONE INPUT! The built in microphone sucks ass and it's impeded by ANY noise like the car moving in my case. Unless if the "AUX" can be used as a microphone input which i can't find any info for this unit specifically. I am shit out of luck with a definite deal breaker because Bluetooth microphone input should be a MINIMUM requirement.
Otherwise I thought it was a decent deck for the budget. Especially if you want to install a backup camera considering that backup camera are a great upgrade for any old vehicle. So honestly, this unit isn't terrible it's decent and has useful features. Really wish it would have a mic input though.
Yeah there all the same internally as far as mosfets its the Xtra add on that drive up the prices.
That 3rd set of inputs and extra video inputs going to cost you another 100 on avg.
Yeah its a $120 for a pioneer, get a Jensen for $10 more 😆

I think I’m stupider from watching this. I have the same unit. It’s great . I’m not sure if you’re just trying to get attention and views but you may want to know a little bit about car audio before you start to review car audio. You can mirror any radio that has a 3.5 A/V input. Any head unit that can play USB video needs it to be formatted correctly. It’s not the radio’s fault. The user needs to format. You should’ve just returned it and got another one instead of paying more money for a downgrade
OK first off I have been doing car audio since before you were born!!!! You must have a different model because there are 8 -12 very similar models of this deck!! I can assure you this one can not mirror anything!!! My other JVC deck you didn't need to format shit you just plugged it in and boom music, so I am not use to just a shitty deck. I am glad you like yours

Maybe you should learn to hook up car systems and quit crying, sniff, sniff plus you bought open box items,from wally,, Lol , and you didn't think anything would be missing.
Also the avh 120bt has no hpf so it sucks when hooking up subwoofers cause bass is to much for the door speakers. Straight garbage
Now he's right about that the other models are a little better but what you expect for 100 bucks bit if you have 200 get the avh 210ex it's way better and the same style and look exactly.
That’s why it has rear dual inputs for 2 amplifiers. Set your hpf on the amplifier
