Good advice. I would argue about useing the wrong tool to crimp, try a ratcheted model that crimps two points at the same time against a third, if you find you must buy tools dont, just use the butt connectors with solder in them and heat with a disposable lighter or even a hair dryer, this also eliminates the need for any added tape as the outer silicone shrinks and is far better, not to mention it is very easy to use even for someone who has never solderd.

Great video, thanks! My Q: I've bought an aftermarket mulltimedia which doesn't have software solution to not to turn on 10 seconds after engine starts but only starts in same time with the engine, which steals too much of battery power during each engine start. Now, to be able to manually turn the multimedia on, should I install the manual switch to the constant power wire or to accessory wire (to maintain memory of device but to stop it turning on with the engine) and should I install an according fuse for that switch line please? Thanks again!
You would need to put the switch on the accessory. You should not be having a start issue with the vehicle when the radio is on, it draws only a tiny amount of current. You likely need a new battery.

one of the best video ever I understood a lot of things! thanks from Italy !!!
Grazie mille!
This guy was good and I think the best instructor I've seen out of all of them I'm actually going to send a ask a question about my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sport I don't know if I have a factory amplifier or not cuz I don't have a subwoofer I hope you I bet he'd be able to give me the answer; why my 3 other and friends couldn't install and keep it running
How do you ground the black cable?? (I only have one coming out of aftermarket stereo)
What's your make/model/year? All you do is line up the matching colors and solder or crimp
How do you connect Aux/USB to the power supply after installing after market MP5 dashboard player because unlike original radio, it doesn’t have connection for them but I want them working just like before? My car is 2018 Nissan Versa SV. Thanks
Metra manufacturers adapter harnesses, worst case is you swap the plate for an aftermarket one.
Hey I’m installing my first radio and so is it just connecting the wires to the same ones that match on the harness? Like matching them
Awesome 🏆. Only needed to find the actual use of the blue wire. No instruction manual always helps 😅👍🏼
Glad it helped!

I have picked up a Pioneer Carrozzeria FH-P95 car stereo and followed your instructions and set it up in my workshop. Its playing just fine but the panel lights and display did not come on.
To sum up this video in one word... Excellent! From the presentation thru to the editing...clear and concise...I'm now a subscriber.
Thanks!
Thanks for the video really helpful.
Got a question I am wiring a 1998 Silverado and the vehicle wiring harness has a orange and orange/white the pioneer double din has orange white do I use the orange/white from the vehicle? Also the green that is parking can I just leave it unwired?
No, tape off the orange white, it will not be used.
@@Qualitymobilevideo thanks for the reply so that truck will not be able to auto dim the radio
I’m doing an aftermarket head unit for a 2017 Nissan Rogue. It is equipped with Nav and Bose/ factory amp so I’m using the Maestro RR interface. I’m getting no power to the HU however. The instructions read that there are 2 wires (CAN L and CAN H) that need to be connected to a 16 pin harness that is located behind the glovebox. Would those 2 wires prevent the aftermarket from turning on? Crutchfield said they wouldn’t but I feel that they would? Any help would be appreciated.
A CLEAR, CONCISE, VERY INFORMATIVE, USEFUL and OVER-ALL OUTSTANDING Presentation! I am now a follower/subscriber...as long as you don't offer me Kool-Aid.
👌
Thank you for your time. This was very informative
So there's a ground wire coming from the aftermarket harness and another ground wire coming from the stereo head's harness, do I connect the two together or do I ground them both to the car chassis? If I do ground them to the car chassis is it okay to use the same ground for both of them? I'm currently getting terrible static and I think it might be because I connected the two ground wires together, but I'm not sure, any help would be cool!
I got the specific harness for my 1995 semi truck and got a pioneer radio. my wires are old and new new wiring. so i wired new speakers ( front and rear and will connect them to harness proper lights. How do i connect yellow, blue, red etc lights if that harness from dash dont work and need to get all wires from source replaced.
Will this work for a motorcycle? I have a project bagger that previously had a radio but it was removed along with the harness. Thank you
Yes, the aftermarket harness should be these color codes.
@@Qualitymobilevideo Your awesome thanks so much.
No problem!
