- Top 5 things I dislike about my Pioneer car stereo. it's the double din AVH-120BT. If you are thinking of buying see this first. I will do another video next week about what I do like about this radio.

That's a safety issue no problem, the size of the radio is what fix in your car or truck,no issue

I just replaced my Shaker 500 on my Mustang with this stereo. I plug in the rca amp wires in the back but Im not hearing the amp turn on. Does the built in amp override?? the amp that is up under my dash?
That camera glitch is either a bad ground from the camera or a loose connection from the reverse wire on the head unit. I have that same camera and unit in my 07 mustang gt and for me it was the ground.

For the parking brake issue, just buy a Microbypass. It's a relay with 3 wires coming out of it, Ground, Power Antenna, and Parking Brake. It's literally around 10 bucks. I wired it into my 120-bt in my 2012 Scion tC and no issues.

Something else that I've discovered is a deal breaker is I cannot remove a device from bluetooth. The only way I've found that is sufficient is to disconnect the actual car battery and reconnect it. This removes ALL devices. I watched a couple of videos on how to remove them and I am unsuccessful in doing so. I'm tech savvy so I'm confident in myself. Any suggestions? T.i.a -Jennifer

Does the bluetooth audio sound compressed compared to running it through usb? I have a boss system with many of the same complaints, though I like that it has a physical volume knob and sd card slot....very primitive file system like windows 98.
Yes I agree with all of that. It's the price point that attracts a lot of people and accessibility. It's easy to go to Walmart and do it yourself.
Considering you hated the touchscreen buttons, why would you want every function touchscreen buttons. They need to start putting volume knobs back on all stereos, so you don't need to take your eyes off the road when driving (Where they always should be when driving)
I did not buy the S00GM-16 because it is very expensive. I don't have steering wheel controls but I do have an Onstar mirror that i don't care for or use. I bought a dash kit, antenna thing and a Red Wolf wiring harness that is compatable with the truck. Do I really need the SOOGM?
No, not really. Especially if your not going to use the onstar.
i bought a used unit that did not come with any wiring. i bought a harness for the truck but where can i get the wiring that would have come new in the box with the pioneer? what would that be called?
I think k it's called "head unit harness".
Just got it installed on my daughter's college car today (Nissan Versa). No issues with the backup camera and its more than a decent system. I drove for an hour listening to Pandora syned to my Samsung Note 20 and no issues with audio dropout, etc. Got it installed for $400 at a local place. BTW, your watch..is it a Omega smp ?(cos I have one and the bracelet looks identical!).
Hi, glad the stereo is working great for you all. It is a great stereo and haven't had any issues too. Just wish the screen was a little bigger. Also my watch, it's not an Omega. I wish! Lol it's a Citizen Eco Drive. Great watch but nothing as fine as your Omega. I love Omegas but a little too rich for me.
Mine don't have a gliich, so check your ground. I bought a part at the stereo store so I can watch movies and backup camera as I drive

What's the point of a button or touch screen if we aren't supposed to press the button we want lol.... Should you have pressed the 6 but wished the deck knew you were thinking 4?
does this sync contact names from my phone for incoming calls and a contact list to place calls from?
It does read who's calling, last called and etc....

Hi Danny, the way I connected mine was turn on your Bluetooth on ur phone then go to the phone icon on your Pioneer and press that like your trying to make a call. It will say not connected. Then follow the prompt to connect your phone. Hope this helps,let me know if it works and thanks for the follow.

The dual has MapQuest but I don't think it has DVD. Depends what your needs are. This Pioneer doesn't have any maps and is pretty basic. I have a Dual in my Camaro and like the functions better. Hope this helps.

I have to wonder...if you play a dvd while parked without the engine running, how long will it take before your battery is dead, and would you really want to burn gas in park just to play a dvd?
A, you do t wanna just play it with the car turned off. If you watch a movie. 1 movie it won't kill your battery. But it's more for when your driving out of town to keep the kids quit when there's no internet.
So Na, you probably don't wanna do that.

I got this unit as a gift, when I tried to install it only the front speakers have sound. I put the factory radio back all speakers have sound. Anyone have this issue??
Did you buy a harness that connects to the factory wiring? I had this issue with another radio and I ran new wires from the speakers to the unit. Hope this helps
@@paultrevi Yes. My vehicles harness uses the rca’s for the speakers though. I even tried a harness without the rcas and still same result.
@@robertomartinez5540 I would run new wire to an Amp since there's really Jack's already on the harnes.Use a splitter if necessary

I have the exact same radio in my 2010 f150 fx2 and when i go to switch songs on the radio or my phone while connected to Bluetooth it has a delay of about 1-2 seconds
That's about right. Not too long. The DVD take a little longer to format but it's doable.
Do you know why this is? I hate that
When i go to youtube the videos have that delay and you can see it which i hate

I love my Sony CD car stereo
Sony is a great brand, hope you got yours at a good price.
I did from a pawn shop for $85 dollars it has really good sound I'm using boss 500watts 6.9 speakers and for my door I'm using 400watts 6.25

It sounds ok I kinda hook it up wrong I have to re wire it know I'm kinda looking to add a mtx terminator subwoofer that's in the future

My pioneer apple CarPlay radio got stolen last week , had to settle for this one not having any problems with it but, I can agree it is a boring radio no good features at all
I know, I've had mine for a while wishing something went wrong so I can buy a new unit but nope. Keeps working fine. Lol

Yes, it can be annoying at times. Plus the sound is louder when you go back to the radio.

@COMPASBASSCHICALI I don't think so because it only has input fir the reverse camera. No rca jack outputs from video. If you figure out a way let me know. It would be cool to add more screens.
