the right joy con of nintendo switch has IR sensor, and filpping will turn to wiimote, on emulator as of now I use rotation pointing but if I manage to write NS RJOY into pointer, this can emulate wiimote
The Wii sensor bar is nothing but an IR emitter, the only reason you need the Wii is for the power source. The Joycon works like a wireless IR emitter, just a worse Wii sensor bar.
Sorry for the late reply. It is kind of janky, and the Joycon has a weak IR output. Make sure you're staying very close to the controller. This is just an observation I had, not really something I'd recommend for normal play.

I'm a little confused. How are the joycons (while acting as a sensor bar) sending any information to your wii?
