Ah so this was the candle method someone was talking about on Reddit. I thought it was joke. Looks like the wiimote measures the IR radiation point in space and calculates the rate of change between its position and that point to compute the movement on screen.
bro what. pretty sure the way they work is just inferred sensors in the wii remote. everything is controls from the wii remote, the sensor bar just puts out inferred light
@@nobler6898First of all, it's called INFRARED lights. Second of all, the Wii Remote is an actual sensor, while the sensor bar just has 10 infrared lights (left and right). You can literally play Mario Kart Wii without a sensor bar, all you need is just buttons on your Wiimote and done.

I want to make a short range sensor bar for playing Dolphin on my computer from close up. This may sound like a dumb question, but how do you connect the IR sensors to the USB through the cables?
Hi, as I tried to show at the video it works but it is better to use 2 light thats why you need 2 cellphone lights. It is not as stable as 2 candle light ; or the best advice as I explained how to make your own sensor bar. It doesn't have to be the cellphones light , try to use any 2 lightsources that are a bith yellow kind of colored light. White(blue-white) is even worser. Might not work
Hey, im thinking something abiut this method. Im an arcade lover, im thinking to buy some light guns for my ps1 and ps2. I can only use crt tv to make the "sensor thing" work.. But i saw some vids on youtube, some peoples use a wii sensor bar to make it work on newer tv (lcd/led tv). But, im trying to save my money as much as i can. Can you try to use a guncon or any lightgun on ps1/ps2 and use the same methods like in your video? I would be really grateful for you answer!
hi ; i would really wish to help you with trying a guncon to let you know if it works but i don't have one to try... but as if you haver the gun you can try the candle light or flashlight trick to test if it will work.

Hi.. I can't give a definite explanation but I can suggest you to change the distanve (space ) between the two candles and also to get close to the candles while trying it to work. And a very important thing is to try by moving the wii mote very slowly as it looks to thr candles
Hi. I am sorry to hear that. Did you try 2 pphone lights? Only one doesn't work well. Even two is hard (at at least works). Try the candles or flashlight. That might be helpfull
I put my old wii in a bin then put the bin in the shed. Some stupid rats attacked that bin and the went for the sensor bar. gonna try the flashlights to get the thing to work
You can use 2 right joycons to make a sensor bar!!

@@ThatKidLevi92 use the lights that are on them

Your wellcome 🤗
Thank you so much!
You're wellcome.

The phone way does not work at all, because it does not produce infrared lights. Use candles, or Joy-cons.
wait, i can use my phone's flashlight as a sensor bar so i can play dolphin with a wii mote?

A phone flashlight can't produce infrared light, so that's why
