I'm uncertain if the adapter I purchased is incompatible and I need a different one or if it's not possible given the PC motherboard doesn't have bluetooth support.
The sensor bar I used in the video is simply a set of leds powered through the usb port. They are totally passive and not connected to the PC. Make sure you are far enough away from them for the Wiimote to see them - too close and it doesn't register.
The Wii Remote connects correctly (Dolphine 5.0) but often shuts down and I have to reconnect it! Why does this happen? The "continuous scan" is on and so is the bluetooth ... maybe I don't have to move too far away from the computer to not lose the bluetooth connection?
I'm not sure what the issue might be. The WiiMote bluetooth should be fine for normal distances from the PC. If you are you using a third party remote it may have a weaker signal, but still shouldn't need you be too close by. Have you checked the battery levels? Do you have a second remote you can try to see if it's the remote of or the PC.
If you're using the same sort of sensor bar as I did it's just a couple of LEDs so your PC won't see it as being connected. The bluetooth connection to your Wimotes is separate to the sensor bar so your issue is with those and the PC.
So dolphin finds my remotes but the remotes continues to blink and it seems to be continuously connect and disconnect. When playing a game it works sometimes and then randomly seems to disconnect later and won't reconnect even with the search continuously clicked any suggestions?
It's strange that it manages to connect but then gives problems. Usually they either connect or just fail. I guess simple things first - batteries OK? use one remote with any others turned off. Nothing else around that might pick up the connection. Close enough to the PC. It's worth looking at the PC Bluetooth devices to see if it's keeping its connection to the PC in case its a Dolphin issue. Hope this helps.
I would be careful of getting the cheap Wii Remotes (those without a Wii logo and/or sold in pairs) because these controllers usually don't perform well as the genuine Nintendo controllers and the battery life usually isn't good. Also, I've seen reports that they may not work in Dolphin. The best way to check if the controller is fake is check if the controller has the Wii logo as well as *RVL-003* (or *RVL-036* for the Wii Remote Plus) next to the connector. If the Wii Remote or Classic Controller is missing the Wii logo or has a different logo, then it's a fake. Another method is to remove the battery cover and the AA batteries (Ni-Mh) and look if the controller has triwing screws. Fake controllers usually use Philips screws. This also works for the Nunchuk and Wii MotionPlus. Also, it's worth noting that Nintendo never sells controllers in packs, nor does it sell the Wii Remote with the Nunchuk with the exception of the console where the Wii Remote (mostly RVL-001 Wiis especially Japanese models) or Wii Remote Plus (mostly RVL-101 Wiis) is bundled with the Nunchuk.
Hi. Do you have any other Bluetooth devices attached to the computer? Just to check that your Bluetooth adapter is working ok. Does the Wii remote connect to your Wii if you have one, or can your phone etc see the Wii remote. If both the PC and remote are working on Bluetooth I'm not sure what could be wrong.
@@WarfareShorts Can you test the remote with another Bluetooth computer? It looks like the remote isn't broadcasting on Bluetooth. Have you made sure it's in pairing mode? There is a little red button inside the battery compartment that forces it to reset and pair.
Try to confirm that the sensor bar is working. It uses infra red leds which your phone camera will usually pick up. If those are working make sure that you are far enough back from the sensor bar - if you get too close the wiimote won't work. Also make sure you've not got bright sunlight in the field of view. If none of that works try another wiimote in case the camera isn't working. Hope you get it going!

Hi. Thanks for the heads up on these controllers. I've not tried the non Nintendo ones so good to hear from someone with experience of them.
i tried syncing it to my pc but nothing is coming up i tried everything in the comments and nothing is working
when i go to add a bluetooth device i dont see anything
@@BytesNBits my phone does not pick up the wii remote i believe my pc bluetooth works because it picks up my camera not too sure why not the remote
@@WarfareShorts Can you test the remote with another Bluetooth computer? It looks like the remote isn't broadcasting on Bluetooth. Have you made sure it's in pairing mode? There is a little red button inside the battery compartment that forces it to reset and pair.
Doesn't work :(
Clcik bluetooth, i connect and it still flashes then stop
Make sure you've got the Dolphin settings as in the video. It can take a couple of goes to get it to pair.
I have conect the remote but without the cursor only the buttons are working ..i need help😮
@@BytesNBits its working now...i was stupid and finally i figure it out that i should sync the my flash on mode 4 ...thank you very much for the fast respond 👌
Does the wheel work for non Wii games
I'm not sure what you mean.

@@MrDratik Hello. Let me show you hi

Can I connect PS4 sensore controller for wii motion games li wiii storts
I don't know. I'm guessing not as the data will probably not be compatible. Give it a go of you have the parts.
Can two remotes work for the IR lights
You basically need 2, constantly on, IR sources. Some people just use two candles but I haven't tried it myself. If you look online there is a preferred wavelength but I found that by the time you've messed around getting a few IR leds, wiring, holder etc. it's cheaper and easier just to buy a ready made USB bar.
Do u need motion plus control to play Wii sports?
Hi. You'd need to look at the game information.
Ok thanks!
Heads up. Thirdy party controllers aka anything that isn't an official wii controller/made by nintendo is going to be more of a hassle to get working. If you can use an official wii controller, do so. If you end up using a third party/non nintendo manufactured wii remote lookalike, you will need to use the "passthrough a bluetooth adapter" in the dolphin controller settings and you will need to install the relevant drivers. This video helped me out with this since I have third party controllers ua-cam.com/video/SNJMGjsxjwQ/v-deo.html
Thanks for the tip. I've only ever used official WiiMotes.
Even tho my Wii Remote is connected, it doesn't take any buttons. does someone might have an idea why this is occuring? (also i cant check my sensor bar because i just need to buy one first) - but it clearly connects
try to use candles and are you using motion sensor plus?
@@philthenooby Does the Motion Sensor have to do anything with my Button input? i mean at November i'll buy this Dolphin thing sm1 recommended me but Buttons should at least work right?
Oh and yea im having Sensor Plus. But as said i just need tips on button input xDD
Hi. Yes, You should be able to use the buttons without the sensor bar. I'm pretty sure I was able to use a motion plus remote with Dolphin. Does Dolphin recognise the remote? does the game Know the remote is connected?
@@BytesNBits Yea. Im Trying SMG1 Right now, and the Dolphin says when i disconnect the Remote on Purpose, that i should connect it. as soon as i do, the game also realises it - but the button presses dont get through
heute mit keiner sensor bar kanst du spiele gut just configurete wii mote and set the porfile that you already use or create a new one with all movment profiles DANKE
Thanks for the tips.
What do you connect the Wii Sensor cable to for the PC? It's not USB connection or anything like that, looks like unique connector to the Wii Console only.
The original sensor has the special connector and I think operates at 9 or 12 volts. You need to buy a USB powered sensor bar. This will then get powered from any USB port or charger. I think they are about £10 on Amazon.
can you play online with other people on dolphin?
Yes. You can use the NetPlay feature.
How i can do this to Android dolphin emulator
I haven't tried this on Android. I can't say if it will work or not. Does your Android device pick up the Wii remote?
my remote doesnt blink when i press 1 and 2
can anyone help me
Do any of the lights come on when you press the power switch?
do I need bluetooth?
Yes. The Wiimotes are Bluetooth. If you're happy using a normal game pad that will work for some games.
my wii cant connect to pc
Hi. Sorry to hear that. Have you got your Bluetooth turned on? If you go to the add bluetooth device on your PC can you see the Nintendo remote?
My parents don't want me ro buy used things anymore because my 3DS was a headache. i'll just buy a wii controller instead of a wii LOL
(The 3DS is not dead, it just need a fix on the screen)
Good workaround!
I'm sorry man your video is too long but I need to now what do I need the remote itself or the remote with a bar please ??
Hi. To get the Wii emulation on a PC you need a sensor bar and a remote. Plus your PC must have bluetooth unless you go for the more expensive Mayfish bar.
fun fact, you don't even need to buy a sensor bar. you could replace it with two candles.
Thanks. I guess it's a workable solution.
What do u mean?
my refresh button is greyed out. what do I do?
Can you see the remote through the normal 'Add Bluetooth device' screen? Try shutting down Dolphin and restarting it. Turn off continuous scanning and then manually click the update button to see if you can get a connection. Make sure you keep the remote in pairing mode (press 1 and 2 together)
@@BytesNBits thanks so much, I closed dolphin then reopened it, tried to connect again and it worked. 👍
@@Vortex4035 Great to hear it's working!

Why am I unable to connect my wii controller to my windows 11 PC? Bluetooth won't even detect it at all.
Are you able to confirm the WiiMote is working either with another PC or a Wii? Try running Dolphin and trying to connect directly from there. Even start up a game and see if it will connect to the remote.
my wii is not connecting
Hi. Make sure your Pc can see the bluetooth connection. If it can it should connect but it can take a few goes.
@@BytesNBits I don't think it can see the Wii remote connection. I tried taking the jacket off and it still did not work. It instead connected with other Bluetooth devices, and when I looked through them I could not see the Wii remote in there. Edit: sorry for being late
@@goofyahhhandlee Do you have another Wii remote to test? Can you test your Wii remote on another computer? One end isn't working / compatible with the other end.
