I mean let's be honest there literally isn't a single bad riff on that whole album. That was Slipknot in its most unrefined and raw state during the Corey era. Best album they ever made imo.
Good to hear some one else thinks this aswell. it was just angry. I never jelled with the other albums. mostly due to the actual singing it put me off in Iowa then went down hill after that. Mudvayne did that for me aswell. loved the first album then they lost it for me. Just my opinion many others would disagree

@@captaingoose736 yeah unfortunately. Vol.3 is one of my favorite records of theirs behind Iowa and self titled. Everything else they’ve recorded after those are just OK IMO.
Odd that 2 of their biggest singles came off that record and yet it still doesn't get as much attention
@@TheRealJamesWells To be fair, when I was first getting into the band and was looking for opinions/reviews and such, Vol. 3 received consistently high marks for being the most balanced record of theirs and I can’t say I disagree. Idk, I think all their records are pretty damn good, Grey Chapters being the weakest imo. It holds a special place in my heart for being the record that got me into the band, and there are some bangers on it, but it does pale in comparison to pretty much all their other material.

Oh come on!!! The NEXT RIFF in (sic) is where the song even starts getting heavy! Such a buzz kill... everything else was on point, (sic) is my favorite song by Slipknot though, and it just doesn't get enough love in my opinion...
