👹
have a great weekend too..you achieved a great sound very similiar like Meshuggah..great work..!
What speakers in that cab Ola?
Ola, PLEASE offer this guitar in a 7 string. I love my Ibanez M80M tone-wise, but I don't like the neck width at all with 8 strings. I want to go to a 7 string with roughly the same scale length as the M80M. If you offer this guitar in a 7 string, I promise to buy one. I want to keep my low F#, but with a longer scale 7 string. Plus, I'd love to have it to use on the new Inferion album and upcoming South American tour.
I remember watching you open for Meshuggah with the Haunted, what a night.
Ow shit, Okoii is a metalhead! Well being an ogre fan, I guess I could have predicted this... Awesome work so far btw!
@@Kapitein-gt9yj based ogre enjoyer
And nmemic
I just wanna add that this album has one of my favorite Meshuggah breaks of all time. That middle sequence of breakdowns in Corridor of Chameleons make my jaw drop to this day, it's just so impossibly groovy and heavy. Filthy.
Corridor of Charmeleons is tha shit! If i had to make a list of the heaviest metal tracks ever it would be at least in the top5.
absoluteeely! the interplay between Jens and the band at the end is fantabulous! 😤😤😤
So ahead of its time it’s crazy
Finally someone talks about CoC, that song is killer
The breakdown with the panic chords in it 😍😍😍
I think what makes Chaosphere really unique is the bass tone. Its pretty odd on that album. I noticed it the other day, I was like fuck, that bass is what really makes this album so unique tone-wise.
Like fuck. Tripped out.
Far out
Absolutely bro! I noticed that a few years ago and from that moment I'm always focusing on the bass aaahaahah
@@jim3541 he tunes down to Eb0 for the new album I think, absolutely fucking wild
No, he’s still playing in the same octave as the guitars. He just bragged about playing very thick strings this album.
CHAOSPHERE: most brutal bass tone of the entire Meshuggah's discography, if not the best...the LOUDEST!
I’ve always had a hard time understanding the Chaosphere tone; is it scooped? Or does it have a lot of mids? It’s honestly so hard to tell because there are ZERO sustained notes or chords on the album. The ENTIRE album. The pre-outro riff from NMCC you played has the longest notes on the whole record!
Also the bass is constant with the guitar almost all the time. So it’s like one entity rather than 2 guitars and a bass.
@@OlaEnglund absolutely. I’m trying to remember if there’s any parts where it’s just guitars playing without bass… I think the ending of Sane might be the only part, but the guitars are swapping off left and right in stereo, so it’s hard to even get a clear image of the tone!
Hi, Uncle Ben!
What about the intro chords in Neurotica?
They took the Korn tone and put it through a metal zone
This guitar tone is one of the most monstrous sounding things ever recorded. I've always considered Chaosphere to be the benchmark for heavy production.
*benchpress
Chaosphere is by far my favorite Meshuggah album. Such great songs and grooves
And a HUGE, brutal bass sound!
I can't wait to see more 29' Solars! A single pickup, all-blacked out 7 string version to mimic the M80 models? Yes please. Instant buy.
Yes if they made a 29 in 7 I’d buy it right now!
If they made a 7 in 27 or 28 inch I'd buy. 29 and I'd nut, 29 5/8 I'll nut through the center of the earth.
even a 27in 7string would be awesome!
Just use this 6 string Solar, get the 8 string set and just don't use the 1st and 2nd strings. M80M without the top lighter strings. You're welcome.
@@metabel the 8 string strings will not fit the 6 string hole I’ve tried this before
Meshuggah used the "Integrated Preamp" units a lot back then I believe. The key to all of these is the Baxandall EQ curves, which cause a mid boost when you turn the low shelf down.
Chaosphere is so mean sounding all around, especially Jens Kidman's vocals, and the guitars were nasty af..
The album had a badass bass sound too.
You have to release an album with this exact rig...sounds brutal
I approve this message. Let's make it happen!
Yes!
Yes, 100%
Blasting!
29” solar!! Someone needs to get The Bunn in on this
THAT was some sick stuff. Chaosphere and Destroy, Erase, Improve along with the 90s Fear Factory albums were my absolute jam. Great, heavy stuff.
Yes this was such an era. Fear Factory, Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad did City and Machine Head did Burn My Eyes, such a great time for extreme metal.
@@AJPMUSIC_OFFICIAL thanks for reminding me of the disgustingly angry masterpiece that is City. One of the angriest albums ever
Chaosphere is a brilliant album. So heavy and so ahead of its time. Arguably my favourite Meshuggah album. Corridor of Chameleons and Mouth Licking what you've bled are insane heavy!
THIS is the content I’ve been after - meshuggah will always have a special place in my heart
I loved the video! You should totally try to imitate meshuggah’s tone on the ‘nothing’ and ‘Obzen’ albums. It would be a nice chance to show some 8 strings that solar makes.
The second I heard it in Drop G, my jaw dropped on the floor; nothing but pure aggression!
Thanks for the video, Dude! This was one of the most enjoyable tone videos you done since the carcass one
waited for this for some time, amazing band, album, video and you Ola, thanks, you are amazing
keep up the great work,
you truly inspire
This might be the most brutal tone you've ever set up on this channel, and that's really saying something. That Solar sounds absolutely disgusting, yet so clear 🔥😈
Chaosphere is one of my favorite metal albums of all time, just made a post on IG recommending it yesterday! so glad you made a video on it! \m/
Probably my favorite Meshuggah album, although I love Destroy/erase just as much. Those albums rip!
Oh lord this tone is absolutely glorious
This is the one, Ola. Absolutely terrific, man
The tone you captured is so crushing ! Those TC pedals are absolutely amazing, my Fortin 33 will never leave my set up!
Man, that drop pause at 10:05 is what I love about Ola videos...! Always interesting! Rock on! 🤘
in my opinion, the best Meshuggah album. so aggressive in every sense
This tone is brutal as hell. The guitar as well. :) Really liked in the Meshuggah song that you nailed that high bass sound as well. That's huge part of their sound, even on Contradictions Collapse.
Dude OLA you always just seem to cover and explain everything I absolutely love about metal just saying thanks for pushing the best metal ever created on your channel your a sic bastard
5:16 is hilarious, that sound got us on that one Ola. Love the content as usual!! 🤘🏻😤🤘🏻
Hey that rig sounds amazing, and your killing it!
Incredible tone! and what a guitar!!!!!!
You are dead on with the tone!!
Great video señor!! Some chunky stuff up in here 🤘🏽
Chef's kiss, my guy.
I remember when you released a Roadster vid RIGHT after I sold mine to offset the cost of a Mark V:90 and I immediately got seller's remorse. I should've just kept both! Sounds so unbelievably good, including the CLEAN channel (so much dimension to it)!
Awesome. That TC Electronics line booster rules. ive been using it for at least 15 years and can't live without it now.
8 string guitars would definitely benefit from this scale length! Make it happen Ola
Heck yes! Thank you so much for getting into a true baritone scale length. I will definitely have to look close at buying one of these or perhaps another variation, if you're going to continue down this line 😁
My favorite Meshuggah album! Thanks Ola!🤘
What is your favorite song?
Mine is probably Sane or Elastic or Concatenation, shit I can't pick one.
@@williamcozart8158 I'll probably choose New Millennium Cyanide Christ, Corridor of Chameleons, The Mouth Licking What You've Bled and Sane. I think, Cyanide Christ is one of the best metal songs ever written: so groovy, so intense and absolutely timeless. The main riff is killer.
@@FrolDissonator yeah the lyrics to new millennium are really good too.
my favourite album ever! i hope im able to one day replicate the tone of this album, its just so brutal
Awesome tone and song!!!
Amazing individual note clarity on chords when you clicked on the t.c. unit. Made it much more interesting to listen to. Judging by your reaction, more fun to play as well.
Your song @ 10:10 made my life worth living Ola 🦩
Very cool sound ! I never thought a Mesa could sound so accurate and cold. This guitar looks great, amazing neck !
And the bass sound on this album is perfect. New Cyanide Christ 🤘🤘❤️
I'd have to agree with you Ola, that album had the most amazing guitar tone.
God damn! Crushing tone
That Cannibal Corpse riff 🖤
One of the most perfect riff for amp demoing/tweaking
What song is that please?
@@thanekrios7020 Code of the Slashers
I failed to notice any cc riffs. Propably way too much distortion
One of my favorite riffs of theirs, so killer!
also the tone on that cc album is absolute annihilation machine
Damn, man! That is some killer tone!
The one that got me into Meshuggah too. Here's where their signature sound is first heard. Gotta love it.
Dude the belch thrown in there 😂.. killer fkn tones outta that monster setup 🤘🏻❤️🔥
Great video man. What strikes me is, compared to the latest albums where I found the tone to be very "organic", on this album it's such a dry wall in your face.
My god this sounds amazing ❤️❤️
Sounds amazing, sir.
Awesome tone !!!
It's so all about the scale! I've got 28.3" and 27" for my low tunings( A-a, C-c) and the note separation is incredible. Very piano like when played clean. Another luthier friend of mine said that right around 28" is the sweet spot to still sound like guitars longer tends to sound more like bass.
Me:
Ola: *plays At The Gates*
Me: *slams like button*
Man,that sounds awsome.
Mesa definitely has it's own tone!!! I really enjoy these videos🤙🇺🇸🙏
Chaosphere is a sick Meshuggah album but I think the bass tone in there made it even better.
I feel like I NEEDI IT !! I’m not used to this scale length and this tuning but I had a band where we played drop g# tuning with a 6 strings and I loved it
I got a mesa single rec and 2x12 last week and played my ftm33 through my 33 it and it just didn't sound right...dialed my randall facepunch in with it and nailed their sound imo. I was gonna sell that pedal but i can't now. Great video. Hangover cure. I'd love to see a lamb of god and decapitated tone videos. Love ya Ola...
A 29“ A1 with Evertune bridge from SOLAR? This might be the best news in a long long time. I am definitely going to get one, Ola! Thank you so much for listening to the community. This is awesome. 🤩
I placed my pre-order and hope to get the axe asap 🤩
This album was the first album I ever heard fr Meshuggah. Killer album
Man the mix sounded amaInf
Paired with "The One" IR, it is the best tone I've have gotten since I've started using amp sims, thanks man
I think the cabinets stacked in the semi circle is more interesting than straight. Good call! Thanks for the video!
Although I'm not the biggest fan of dual recs for standard E/drop D, you can't deny they're the perfect amp for longer scale lower tuned guitars. So nasty!
Also love me some At the Gates, good shit, Ola.
Nice job on this!
Chaosphere is so heavy. Ola playing all the groovy riffs, just like every other time.
I have to say I'm loving these "Band Inspired" IR's you're releasing. I'd love if you could do a "Page Hamilton/Helmet - Meantime" inspired IR.
That riff on the intro. That's f**ckin awesome.
Waiting for Flamma FS06 preamp for the next will it chug episode.
Damn that sounds fantastic!
There was an interview with Kent couple years ago, rig down. He said Fredrik was using live Chaosphere IR from recording session.
Have a good weekend everyone, I remember when bleed came out, let alone this album. Damn man what a ride
I love that you played the riff to “Ambivalent” by NEVERMORE!! 🤘🏼
AND “This Godless Endeavor”!!
Ola playing Chaosphere with a Pantera t-shirt. My life is now complete! Have a good day
Great tone!
just starting to listen to meshuggah. so far my fav album
The main riff after the intro riffs of Corridor of Chameleons is my absolute favorite riff of all time. Stank-face to the freakin max
Wow! Sounds very much like NMCC Ophidian Trek version. Love it!
very glad to see this in my sub box
Ola, have you ever listened to Yob? Doom band from Oregon. Mike plays his guitar in A standard, there were a couple moments when you were dialing in the amp tone that you sounded very similar to him. Totally different style of music than you usually cover but he’s a hell of a player with amazing tone. Loved this video! Cheers.
wow, spot on!
was debating routing an EverTune into the RGIB6. But I wanna hear more about the Solar Baritone Guitars first! I'm listening Ola!
👂🤘
My favourite Meshuggah album. Bass tone is the gold standard for me.
Quite the notable and trend setting tone!
Damn near pooped myself when you said 29" scale. Need it. Need it NOW.
Hello Ola, how are you ?
I just played guitar for two hours, just crazy and famous covers.
So good man
Fred from France
What a sick guitar!!!! If there will be a lefty of this one. I will purchase it immediately 😍
Saw Meshuggah like 20 years ago at Ozzfest and didn’t realize what I was seeing at the time.
Badass video!
Man, that's a sweet guitar! I have a baritone Les Paul and that's about 28 inches, one of my favorite guitars since I got it in 2003. I may have to grab one of these new Solar 29's. Peace yo
You even managed to sneak in a little Paw Patrol, great work! Solid 6/10!
Love it absolutely love it
Extended scale is life. I own an Ibanez RG1077XL which sports a 27" neck and that's a wonderful beast. My dream guitar would be an exact copy of it but with EverTune bridge.
That guitar is beautiful 😍
We need a meshuggah kitchen cover next!! I miss those videos so much!
👍🤟 God damn this rips man! btw. You could maybe consider to make a vid playing in Drop G? It would be awesome to hear a 7string Solar in that tuning.
that tone is clean af!
That FBB 29 IS SICK!!🤘🤘
