Hey man, do you have any advice for pinch harmonics on bass strings? Can hit them pretty well on my first three string but for some reason I either deaden the note or just get a regular note on my 5th and 6th strings
Why do I get triggered by these 0101010101 comments. It was alot of riffs in ST/IOWA. Outside those albums they went pretty far beyond that. And it was essencially Slipknots version of Metallicas chugs.

When I clicked I thought "this will be predictble" I was pleasantly surprised when you opened with All Hope Is Gone. Then you continued to play some of my favorite riffs. (very well, I might add) nice video, thanks. In the end you could have played any 10 Slipknot riffs, they are all amazing.

Whether you like it or not slipknot is nu metal, nu metal is metal that came out during the late 90s and early 2000s. As much as I love slipknot, they still fall into the nu metal genre. Maybe you should expand your horizons a little bud.

The vast majority who don't like AHiG in general is because they went from the Stone Sour influence on Vol 3 which brought in a lot of radio rock listeners to a more melodic yet Iowa esque album and it was too heavy for them. Some songs really bring the death metal influence hard. Songs like Gehenna remind me of the ST era.. dark and creepy vibes, like Purity or Iowa (the song). IMHO, was the last great album...
i’m a year in and i can play most songs on this list pretty consistently, just spend your time practising. also, if you wanna learn a song, the best song to practise is that song.
I had never truly given slipknot a chance until my friend in 8th grade formally introduced me to the music of Slipknot and Children of Bodom. He would play their riffs on his guitar and blow me away. Been hooked on shred ever since.
In my opinion…The Shape has one of the best opening riffs. I’m not a huge fan of the rest of the song but I kinda enjoy it…but the opening riff is too 🔥
