What was your favorite riff from the video?! As always Puppets is super fun to play for me! If you need guitar playing, or re-amping, done for your next project hit me up on my channel or on one of my links in the description! As always, thanks to Baena for having me on his projects! His Kemper sounds really good too!
It’s so weird to listen to early Metallica with perfectly time aligned drums and modern distorted tones. Great job on this man, super enjoyable to listen.
1983-1988: METAL UP YOUR ASS! 1991-1997: Hey, we’re a hard rock band now! 2003: Midlife Crisis 2008-2016: Trying to re-live their glory days but it doesn’t quite work
Take into consideration y'all: Some of the tunings may be pitched slightly higher than the original 440Hz, I'm pretty sure they used 450Hz for AJFA and 444Hz on RTL. 🤘
@@BaenaCarcosa A few bands I listen to do that, Megadeth used 427Hz on Peace Sells, Machine Head use 427Hz in D Standard/Drop C, and Pantera sometimes used 430Hz. If you use it well, it benefits the song in my opinion.
I thought the rtl pitch change was from them speeding the master up. I know machine head tunes to drop b at 450hz and dime just ghetto tuned his by ear
I love ya Andrew, but man next time when you do a higher tuned band, turn down the treble. It's kinda fizzy when you do E standard songs. Nice riffs though! My suggestion for a riff compilation would be Converge or Muse!
Awesome job both of y'all man. A couple others would be no remorse, spit out the bone, that was just your life, bleeding me, creeping death, Orion, frayed ends of sanity, my friend of misery, invisible kid, the unnamed feeling, devil's dance. But I agree man, their entire catalog is killer riffs.
I love these evolution videos! Next, start from the first written piece of music in recorded human history and do every single song up to present day. Thanks in advance bro 🤘
My favourite riff from the video would definitely be frantic. Think i'm kinda in the very small amount of people who actually enjoy that album, it's easily my favourite from them
The tone was super close. My fav riffs are the bass line on master of puppets on the intro to that instrumental piece. the moth into the flame riff. sanitarium the day that never comes has awesome switches towards the end. As you said a million to mention. Random Kirk Hammett uses a FretCorner Bend on the high E on the most badass scream on the end of 1 of the greatest solos of all time on master of puppets. He tried it and everyone liked it. he doesn’t do it live though I think he uses a pinched harmonic to mimic it. www.songfacts.com/facts/metallica/master-of-puppets
Uncle Ben Eller will probably tell you you're playing the Master of Puppets riff wrong, cuz you are ;) great video still! also the riffing on For Whom Bell Tolls doesn't sound quite right with the drums
Also noticed it ... Don’t wanna say anything bad, as I know how much work goes into a video like this. But there were some timing issues, and it’s especially noticeable there. Still, cool video!!

Thanks for helping me out on this one my man
@@BaenaCarcosaAlways, my guy.
My fav was probably four horsemen
One of my favourite riffs is the Sweet Amber "breakdown," but you guys opted for St Anger instead haha
King Nothing. All of Load and ReLoad is underrated. Those albums don't get the love they deserve.
should’ve used this opportunity to show that ONE song where Metallica used drop G# - Invisible Kid
I fucking love that song
That time metallica djented more than periphery
@BiRDiEMusic yes IK i didn’t say they formed in 2003 though
It’s so weird to listen to early Metallica with perfectly time aligned drums and modern distorted tones. Great job on this man, super enjoyable to listen.
As well as normal sound snare on St. Anger ;)
@@MaksimSundukov I actually did layer the St Anger snare in there too it's just mixed at a level that makes sense haha
Ahhh yes Metallica the band that went through more phases then an angsty teenager.
And that's why I love them

For Whom the Bells Toll was 100% the precursor riff for Slam Breakdowns.
Basically.
@@Ricky-on3vn yes.

@@benmoody02 For Peace Sells and KIMB songs, I've always just tuned down a quarter step from E Standard and it brings it pretty damn close

Yeah the pitch is diferent cuz od speeding stuff up, at least on ride the lightning

E Standard is a sin
What about domination

6:02 i cant help notice
how massive the bass sounds here dude. great job on the tone man
You didn't downpick everything like daddy James how blasphemous
Hearing One and Blackened with bass just made my life complete.
love how he has copyright claimed his own video to avoid it getting claimed by someone else 😂
😉

Yeah no problem! Easy
And here is the second time Andrew has played in E standard
I've been waiting for this day to come. Andrew does a Metallica evolution where most riffs are in e standard!
2:25 what's wrong in this picture? :D
NO DOWWNNPIICCKKSSS
that tone is fucking amazing bro
My favourite riff from the video would definitely be frantic. Think i'm kinda in the very small amount of people who actually enjoy that album, it's easily my favourite from them
My personal favorite riffs are Phantom Lord and Sweet Amber. Still loved everything in this video. Keep up the good work!
I see that Devin Townsend Project shirt. I like this guy already.
Do a riff Evolution of Slayer pleaseee, great work guys, keep it up 🤘🤘
Familia Andrade “that’d be boring, just 16th notes on the low E for 8 minutes”
Lol
Hey uh what string gauges do u use
Stop, this is the string gauge police. You're under arrest.
Hey uh Keyan why are your tones so good
@@MatthewAlenius thanks man but this Metallica tone is spot on

That DTP shirt ! I approve 👌🏻
DID SOMEBODY SAY
*DISCORD BENEFITS??!!*
5:09 OMG RARE FOOTAGE OF ST ANGER WITHOUT TRASH CAN SNARE THIS IS ILLEGAL
First open on the blackened verse riff isn't muted and the distortion is overspilling like mad. Other than that, banging job and well played man.
Nisssssssssce ⚡⚔️⚡
Majesty is 1 of my dream guitars🎸 but out of my price range even the Sterling version is pricey!
Good job. I'm still gonna be that guy that points out you didn't downpick the Blackened verse.
I love this, and daddy Andrew seems to be having a lot of fun with them riffs 🖤
4:12 is that andrew playind LEAD i seee???
Hey Andrew baena you should do breakdown call outs with dark quotes 😈
No Dyers Eve? Andrew you just broke my heart
That Seek and Destroy tone was on fucking point
Nice demo of the Sterling!
Haha... No early benefits but hit that bell squad where you at? No one? Alright...
Before attempting some of those riffs, you should get you down picking up to par 👍
I love this video. Metallica is the first band that made me passionate about music and pick up a guitar ❤
3:05 My faves
These Music Mans are everywhere
Great cover bro💯
It really would be great if they’d re-record St. Anger. Some of the songs were actually really cool.
st anger would be the best metallica album with more gain, harsher vocals, and dirty window and my world removed from the face of the earth
Damn fuck No Leaf Clover ig 💔

Your alternate picking triggered me good vídeo btw
What is that jazz master style guitar with the white ceramics in it?
I love that u started with 4 horsemen. Still a great riff
Love it, but Mechanix have more power 💪🏻
Maciej Niewiński the megadeth song?

Maciej Niewiński but this is a Metallica video lol I’m confused

Wow really good banjo
Where's the unnamed feeling aka that moment metallica played a Drop g# song
Can't believe its lars not playing here
didn't play metallica's only song in drop G. thought of all songs you would've played invisible kid

Spit Out the Bone
Drop Sí
Guitar evolution of Opeth next!
5:09 WHERE IS THE FRYING PAN?!
Lightning fast downstrokes.

Tiene Down 😎😎😎😎😎
But, where's 0-3-5?
Wow so original
Wait he in standard? Djenty baby in E?
It feels super weird to play in e standard
Andrew Baena e standard 8 string💀
Ooft. For whom the bell tolls was out of time 😕
Andrew was like damnit I lost some strings
Playing in standard tuning must have been a nightmare for you
Early access boys 😎
When you used to play guitar with 7 or more strings but now you play all riffs with 6 strings...
And in true Metallica fashion this evolution was over 8 minutes.
yall forgot no leaf clover
wow i love how good 5:38 sounds without that dogshit snare
Full cover of Battery please. That sounded amazing.
RAMMSTEIN RIFFS EVOLUTION PLEASE
There was a mistake during the …And Justice For All riffs, you could actually hear the bass!!! 🤣🇺🇸🎸💯🔥
Dude those drums in the background sound so nasty and beefy
notification squad

Master of Puppets is right, what are they missing?
The Batman there is one tiny error before the power chord slides, they are playing two E notes, but it’s actually an E# and an E
After watching all this downpicking,I hereby challenge Andrew to downpick meshuggah bleed
1:22 are we going to ignore that he downpicked BATTERY
Metal Oreo he alternate picked it but he was using small hand movements which looks like downpicking
No because he didn't downpick it
FAIL
No he didn't.
Mayhaps a My Chem riff evolution?
i just wanna hear more guitarists to hear Thank You For The Venom, such a kickass tune
St anger without its signature snare sounds actually quite good
Funny u say that. I like the orig snare. Love st anger
Minecraft Sweden theme cover next
Big sad, no Fade to Black
Great vid though
pantera riff evolution please
