My reply was "This is the Cult, the one band that a person can listen to and never NOT be considered cool afterwards. Their sound changes over the years, but they'll never disappoint you."
Living in Chapel Hill in 87 and bought their 2nd CD(had Peace Dog) when it came out and couldn't get enough of this CD. There was an interview I read at the time the Cult was touring with Billy Idol. The Cult was supposed to be the biggest Party Band. Supposedly they put every one else to shame! No one could hang with them! Incredible.

I wasn't familiar with the band & their music & didn't really appreciate it as fully as I should have. The ensuing weeks that followed, they got quite a bit of air play on the local radio, KROQ. That's when I got hooked & been enamored with their music ever since. I've been fortunate enough to have seen them in concert 4 more times.( 1990, '96, '02, & '17) There'll never be another band like them. The soul, the vibe, the majesty, & the mystique will never be replicated, that I can say with certainty. Anybody who's ever heard one note played by these marvelous musicians will be transformed for the better forever. Long live The Cult. (With a respectful shout out to Billy Idol & Steve Stevens.)

Great concert! I was 21 years old in 1987 😅
Rocking to The Cult in 2022! So good. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good to be alive in the 80s! The music scene was incredible for those who cared to look. Hello to Mr A from his native Heswall!
i remember this being on the BBC, its got to the point i thought id imagined it.
It was Filmed at Brixton Academy End of the Tour [ I Saw them at Manchester Apollo ] yes back in the 8o's Early 90's the BBC did show a bit of Rock ! Annie Nightingale Presented it late at Night AC/DC was Another they Showed and some others
I often wondered if Ian got some of his influences from The Doors by sound, looks & soul! Amazing!!!
Pure gold. Thanks for posting!
Ian Astbury voice jus amazing. Loke no other voice
Saw them that year open for Billy Idol. They killed it and I've been a fan ever since. They looked giant onstage. We thought they were some twisted biker gang!
Great band loved the 80s and 90s whish I could go back never again will their be a time and music like this
Twisted biker gang fck yeah!!!!!!
saw them on the same tour in Michigan. my first "real" concert. wish I still had my Electric tour t-shirt. it was totally bad ass to wear in 7th grade.
Gaye Bikers On Acid??? Actually though I believe they ride. For Duffy I think it's usually a Ducati which is very cool but not as cool as Harley...
I was 17 saw this tour. Guns & Roses opened. Nobody knew they were and they got booed off stage.
1987 Lakeland, FL - The Cult opened for Billy Idol. Billy filmed the 'Mony, Mony' video that night, but The Cult stole the show.
Saw this tour when they opened up for Billy Idol. They blew Billy away
Love this band. Amazing guitar sound.

The band has always lived up to its name; one of my fav bands ever and this is an amazing performance during the electric tour. Thank you for sharing 🔥💓🔥
Gotta say, in 1987 The Cult wrre (by far) the rockingest band in the galaxy!
Damn, these guys really brought it. And so did the crowd. Great energy all around.
