If you have Android 14 you can just connect your phone to the PC/Mac with a USB cable, tap the notification that appears on the phone and select "Webcam" and that's it. No software installation required on either device. And it works with any OS, including Linux.

Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful. And good move! I'm a huge fan of using what you already have and making incremental improvements to your setup over time.

Hmmm.... Sorry you're having issues. My first guess is it might be a permission issue. Make sure your system and browser are set up to allow access to Camo.

Sweet find and works great with my iphone on pc over USB. Any limits/drawbacks besides the fps and image enhancements?

The one issue I ran into was related to using multiple camera sources at the same time. I have a Sony ZV-E10 connected via a Camlink as my main camera, and I was experimenting with using my phone + Camo as a second camera. Sometimes when I tried switching the video source in the middle of a Zoom call, things got laggy or froze up altogether.
But when I use Camo on its own, it's okay.

But if the app runs direct without installing, It shouldn't be an issue.

Sorry, I don't know off the top of my head. Droidcam is the one that keeps popping up in search results. Maybe try this method using OBS and IP Webcam: www.baeldung.com/linux/android-phone-webcam

Another commenter just tipped me off that if your phone is running Android 14, you just have to plug it into your computer via USB and select to use it as a webcam. If the notification/option doesn't pop up right away, you can go to your settings and search for "USB Preferences," then choose "Use USB for... Webcam". Then your phone should show up as a camera option in Zoom/Google Meet settings.
I just tested it out and it seems to work!
