I tried the camo app and it works when i use my phone as webcam. But the problem is when i use the app for a extended period of time about 30 mins in the audio starts to become laggy while the video is showing nicely.
Seems that continuity came or maybe it was just facetime.. but i think continuity came lets you do a combo camera angle forward and a sudo too down of the desk together. I tried it for a min but seems legit. Thanks for the app recommendations!
I bought epoccam a while back when i was streaming frequently, it was reliable BEFORE they created and forced the use of the camera Hub. you only needed to instal the driver on the computer and after that you only opened the app and the it got instantly recognized as a webcam. now you need to keep the camera Hub open all the time, it keep crashing, frequently it has trouble finding and connecting the phone even if you do everything right. As a long time user, i can no longer recomend Epocam to buy and elgato does not provide a good support (at least not for epoccam, they did responded alright for other products). I ended up on this video cause i'm looking for alternatives
Sorry to hear that! Well, Riverside now offers a built-in option for using your iPhone or Android device. You can see it here: ua-cam.com/video/QmoJxxElueU/v-deo.htmlsi=E4XYRwQFyMLy5qmD
When you connect your iPhone with your PC, how do you use the back camera as the front lens, because the back camera is way better than the front one. I am unable to figure out where to fix those settings. TIA
Which method are you using to connect? Continuity Camera automatically uses the back lens, and we have more info on that here: ua-cam.com/video/Pwr1CGjIYZo/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Unfortunately not, Continuity Camera is iPhone only. But using the Riverside app you *can* use iPad as a secondary camera angle! You can learn more here: ua-cam.com/video/0o3XAJ9lKT4/v-deo.html
Hey brother great video. I have epoc cam pro, I’m now confused which one to use between riverside and camo for recording. Can’t I just use riverside? Why would I need camo?
Thanks! Camo makes it possible to connect your iPhone as a webcam to your computer. You can also use the built in Continuity camera feature if you're using a Mac and that works with Riverside as well! Either way, Riverside is where you record and invite remote guests, Camp / Continuity Camera is just to connect your iPhone to your computer
There may be a slight delay depending on Wi-Fi connectivity and CPU power. Try to use them directly in a Riverside Studio without OBS and let us know if you see any delay there.
To be honest, we just announced a new feature that will make it even easier to use your phone as a webcam! Learn more here: ua-cam.com/video/QmoJxxElueU/v-deo.htmlsi=ic2a98CRW2ZMxTNx
Unfortunately both applications are not good option. Macbook and iphone sometimes loosing each other when i using this apps -- even if they connected with cable. Also OBS Studio become mad when i use it ))
While this feature can't be used for live streaming, Riverside has a secondary camera feature that lets you record multiple mobile devices' video and download each as a separate track. Learn more here: ua-cam.com/video/0o3XAJ9lKT4/v-deo.html
Does the paid version of Camo provide higher resolution than continuity camera? And are there downsides to upgrading from Catalina to Ventura on a macbook pro 2019? Will it slow down my computer?
We covered multiple apps in this video, but if you're looking for Camo which is available for all platforms, you can download it here: reincubate.com/camo/
This is basically for webcams and phones. If you have a pro camera you dont need this, as all those same settings are on the actual camera itself and are native, not post.
Yes those webcam utilities work with Zoom, but we'd recommend even your work video calls should be on Riverside 😉 ua-cam.com/video/lIuGS-04N1Y/v-deo.htmlsi=YRXg-R6yNqaomgCv
A warning for everyone who considers Camo, it doesn't deliver 30fps so only use it if you are streaming or are doing stop motion or whatever. I wasted hundreds of hours of work just to realize when I imported the footage into after effects to edit it that Camo assigned fps totally arbitrary, like 17,489fps or even shitty 9,8923fps. The footage is useless and I am so pissed off. I used the paid version but it's not about the money, it's about the work wasted that can never be repeated...
@@milenatos I don't trust ivcam i paid for a lifetime then an update came and said I needed to pay again like I had a yearly subscription, and it stuck a gigantic watermark on my feed.

Pretty powerful stuff especially for those who are not deep in the streaming needs.
Continuity Camera is especially powerful being built-in to the platform!
Another additional feature of EpocCam (compared to Continuity) is that it can be used with iPad as well as iPhone. Right?
That is correct!
Using EpocCam pro
Looks fantastic with iPhone 15
