I'm pretty young so watching these advances in technology and ai happening so fast is kind of depressing, because when I think of all the work I'm putting into learning it, and how soon there is just gonna be random people making masterpieces without actually trying due to the technology they have, it makes me wonder if all the skills I'm building right now are gonna be useless when I'm actually old enough to use those skills in life. I'm basically gonna be an old dude who has no idea how to use the technology of the next generation, and who keeps using outdated technology. In fact, I'm still using blender 3.0, davinci resolve 18.0, and fl studio 21.0 because I just don't want to have to get used to a newer versions of all of these.
While watching the video at 12:28 people can clearly see how much you love your craft. This is the reason artists put their time in your youtube channel. Thanks a lot for making all these valuable tutorials. ❤
I never really had a big interest in 3D modeling or simulations, but after seeing one of your videos and how incredibly passionate you are about it, I just had to go and binge all your videos!! Seriously, I've looked at some other blender youtubers but none of them even come close to being as enjoyable to watch as you are. Thank you so much for the videos. Keep doing what you love!
I mean... You are an extremely dedicated and talented person. You alone make worth of the internet! Thank you soooo much for your selfless and humble sharing of artistry techniques. I'm just wowed by every single video you pull out, the amount of valuable information you give away are incredible! THANK YOU!!!!!
A buddy turned me onto your channel - first view just now. Pretty incredible stuff. Sorry if you've covered some of this but a couple of suggestions for what I think would be really cool. Walking on stilts or extending your arms a foot or so by carrying something. Riding a skateboard or skates, maybe a scooter of some sort. Awesome stuff. Great video!
Just amazing to see all this! When you were excited about how it came out halfway trough, I was a little sceptical. But then you made the final video and it all came together. Astonishing, just astonishing what smoke rendering with EmberGen can do and all.
What's even more impressive about Embergen is that you don't even need a powerful GPU to run it. I tried is when it was in its beta some time ago (as far as I remember it used to be free?) and tested it on GTX 770 with 2GB of VRAM and it worked just fine. HOW IS IT SO WELL OPTIMIZED, it's beyond me. I think I'm gonna give it a try once again, because your videos are really inspiring 😄
this looks amazing and shows that a good render needs so much more than a good animation. Im pretty sure Blender renders faster if you render with tiling of about 256 pixels.
Holy cow!!!!! The cinematic with the smoke man standing and walking away in the city looked like a Spider man villain or something. Absolutely amazing!
The fact this software works on my laptop is amazing. Not as smoothly but still around 30 fps. Although this was not a tutorial I learnt a lot from watching it. I wondered which node controlled the smoke
This software is amazing! I have recently been importing and using ember gen effects into ue5 for a project I’m working on and they look even more realistic than real life
You learnt me 3d when i started 2 years ago and the day i learnt about embergen i immediatly thought of you... Thank you for being so curious and teaching so nicely, i wish you all the best.
Beautiful, I especially like the part when the character disappears at the end. Makes me want to watch a boxer punching and kicking with only his fists and feet as smoke emitters.
That's just beautiful, I literally got goosebumps by seeing the emberGen previews, but the final result with the camera play also. Good one, mate, good one!
It's always super exciting to discover awesome software and all the cool things they can do, especially when I witness how wonderfully you utilize them!
"Oh of course the lightening is real time too".... Ive been a VFX artist for 28 years. This would have taken weeks to render back on the old SGI pentium II machines with hours and hours of waiting for feedback to adjust strength of wind and lighting. mind blown.
Can you make a video similar to this but where the human object actually has a transition to smoke volumetric. I just really want to learn transition effects in blender with volumetrics and fluids or particles.I appreciate your work though
This is amazing. Love the videos from you. The sheer joy my 2 year old had watching the smoke dance across the screen making me rewind the video over and over so he could continue to watch it is a joy I wish upon everyone! Cheers
I am so excited for the future of simulation software and the enhancement of ai tools that will enable us to see our scenes come together! One step closer to photorealism!
I'm so happy that I will be doing this for a living in the future. Not 100% like that because I'll study game design but videos like this make me so happy that I have the opportunity to do this! Keep it up!
I´m impressed! Fantastic creativity, and I am amazed to see there´s now a real-time version of those stuff we would only be able to make before in Houdini, it´s possible!
Both final renders look so damn cool! And the proces seemed so easy wth Also, if you don't feel awkward when recording mocap footage you're doing something wrong lol
I was seeing the sandman scene from Spider Man when he first becomes the sandman, that would be a cool recreation. But this is a cool update from your original one too!
how i can be like you ?! 😍 i've been began learning blender since 5 months ago but now i can't believe what i do because of you my great teacher, i love robots much
Awesome! It would amazing to see it with some small tweaks to make smoke dude a little bit translucent as if he was made of smoke not just something opaque that was emitting smoke
This is so cool man! Watching you have so much fun making this is really inspiring me to just drop everything I'm doing right now to create! That's it I'm going to create something!
so much potential for vfx!! imagine making a whole movie with this stuff, and characters could become liquids or small rocks! awesome video! and OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT FINAL RENDER, it looks like a split sea cape at the end, holy shit!
I would use two or three models one hidden in another one with slightly different settings, so you have like multiple sources of smoke with a little bit different behaviour and colour. Like blue, red, gray or something. So they are swirling through each other.
This is a really interesting test. I'd like to see it with motion capture of someone who has studied Butoh, which trains the performer to move as if they were made other material. I think that would add to the overall effect.
This is hindsight but what you could have done is record yourself climbing up on top of something (like a bridge) and then walking up to something. Then you put the place you climbed up from under the floor and it would look like the smoke guy climbing up from the underworld, which I think would look sick.
For those of us who already have an age, seeing these advances in software and your genius using them is an adrenaline injection.
indeed. so sick. still can´t my head around it that this runs in realtime haha

@DashenBoi blender 4.0 is barely a leap lol, its a new font and quality of life changes
@@DashenBoi it's even worse now since you left this comment. Have you seen OpenAI's Sora?

Yeah after all these years of CGI still Heartbeat moments, that is true Love
He was touched and me either looking to his craft, indeed!
So beautiful to see so much passion into it.
Tack tack!
WOAH I didn’t expect the final render with the smoke man crawling out of the floor into the city, that was AMAZING.
the "my girlfriend thinks im an idiot" feel is so recognizable haha.

except for the "girlfriend" part
@@sicfxmusic that's about right 💀
dude youre like the most entertaining blender creator to me, seeing you walk through the process and getting excited abt it really inspires me

Thank you so much!! That really means a lot!
Because those are not "a polyfjord tutorial"
Let's hope they use EmberGen for Smoker in the upcoming One Piece live action show. Dude is literally LITERALLY made out of Smoke
Now remember kids, don’t smoke, or you’ll become *O N E W I T H T H E S M O K E*
I am one with the smoke the smoke is with me
TOO LATE, I'M STARTING TO-🚬🌫🌫🌫
You two didn’t heed my warning, now you suffer the consequences
Alright I’m on smoke break- AAAAAAAAA
@@Polyfjordbro did you time this when Smoke got revealed in MK1 or its just coincidence. Just curious

THE FINAL RENDER IS INSANELY COOL
12:33 my goodness the way the smoke guy collapses looks so natural, love it so much!
A-maze-ing. The blue just makes it. Can’t wait to try this software out.

Yeah! Spider-Man villain! That was exactly the vibe! Maybe he's called the Smog...
His name was sandman as Karl Marko if i remember

The level of craftsmanship displayed in this walkthrough animation is exceptional.

This was by far the Most amazing smoke effects demo I've ever seen!
Thats how you create a really good looking antagonist.
It`s realy cool! I`ll go to download Embargen
What a nice work, I really like your videos. Imagine this smoke animation with a dancer, or a winged being.
Now i really want you to make some logia users from one peice lol this fits the vibe so well. Also kinda trendy lol
Beautiful, I especially like the part when the character disappears at the end.

It's so funny how passionate and excited you get when it comes to simulations 🤣
If you want to do another video in this direction, then take a look at Tai Chi. The movements probably look super interesting with the smoke
Wow that looks awesome for sure!! That's a great idea
"It's going to take literally forever to render this" - me, every time.
this will be cool rendered in a morning shot over a lake, like it's mist coming alive and the disappearing on the surface of the water
Awesome idea!! Would love to see it
That was absolute satisfaction watching that smoke sim and the sound design just made it next level
Wow i never realised how beautiful Norway is, it's so mystical!
Sweet, I’m happy we got a little extra scene at the end. I thought that was cool
