@@crezzytyeah. It also shows that developer of the Lethal Company sucks at optimizing games, which made him to drastically decrease the graphics quality (prob becuz he's a furry), which made him use low-res textures in pair with locking resolution at 560.
At my pretty good PC with 1440p set and doubled LOD distance in HDLethalCompany it barely hits my Monitor's highest refresh rate (165 Hz)
Which is really fucking surprising with the fact in mind that my PC can play most of the AAA games in max graphics quality normally

I gotta be real. I been using blender for 3D modeling for YEARS. . . and yet this video has taught me SOOOOO much on techniques I never even dreamed of. Like, I never took shrinkwrap seriously, rather just a way to make a ball take the shape of a cube. . . but using it as a means to retopologize. . . that's INSPIRED!!!!!
So many awesome little tricks that can make my own works feel more professional.
I do have one request tho, for future videos, can you link all the software you talk about in the video within the description? I find your work inspiring, so nudging people like me by making it even more convenient might be the extra kick to inspire us to go out and try the other software.

While I could easily echo the praise in so many other comments here - both the finished product and your explanation of the process are marvelous - I actually want to touch on what may be a misinterpretation of the Bracken's physiology. While it does indeed have unguligrade legs, I don't believe it's meant to actually have hooves at all. I think the ends of its legs are more implied to be a sort of fleshy pad, keeping in line with its plant-like biology and explaining how it moves in complete silence in-game. And while it could be argued as simply being for the sake of better blending in with darkness, this would also explain why the texture is completely uniform on the legs in the official model. Defined nails and the like are generally portrayed separately on other creatures. Just another facet of what makes the Bracken such a bizarre and enigmatic lifeform.

I especially liked the little side-walk there at the end to slip off scree. Gave me a good chuckle. Almost had the same vibe as a "Blatantly trying to sneak" scene from an older cartoon, like Tom & Jerry, or Scooby-Doo. Fantastic stuff.
There's really no pressure to do it, but if you did end up making an HQ version of each of the models in the game, I'm sure somebody would be more than happy to do the maps in HQ as well, and with the blessings of LC's original dev we might see- if not a full-blown Unity HD recreation- at the very least a g-mod version of LC in the future, which would be pretty neat.

If you do decide to do another episode, I'd love to see one on either the Thumper or the Jester, since not only would there be chances to showcase other things of modelling(the gore of the Thumpers having to chew off their own legs when hatching from a leg, or the gorey tendrils that connect the Jester's skull head to the rest of it.)
Or alternatively, the Coilheads, for a more in-depth explanation on modelling the humanoid forms.
Or if you decide to do the Nutcracker, you could go even more in-depth on the texturing.
For the Masked, you could detail how to do complex face shapes to mimic emotions whilst simultaneously having none
For the Ghost Girl, you could go indepth on how to make clothing
You could make an entire 3D modelling course out of just making Lethal Company monsters, lol

I was under the impression that the Brackens leaves were to be taken more figuratively, like the Bracken would somewhat resemble a fern leaf rather than literally having them come out from the back.
Take that as you will from a guy who doesn’t have that many hours in the game, end result is still fantastic.

i had expected the to work as large jagged bone-esque appendages, that close in on you and hold you firmly in place.

Yeah, the leaves thing is clearly more about the basic resemblance in shape, rather than being actual leaves. Kinda disappointed, ngl.

I love seeing how anything in a game is made to be frank.
It makes me more appreciative of the whole process of making a game and it makes ME want to make a game even more. Be it programming, modeling, rigging or animation. It truly inspires me!
And the editing is truly top-notch, gotta also add that I like the touch of mostly using music from Zeekerss other games too :P

Yeah I honestly thought they were tentacles at first before I read into the lore, they don't really read visually as leaves during gameplay.
