I think we are all too fixated on what counts as support for Armenia. We can keep talking about selling about xyz weapon to them but the problem is Armenia's economy isn't capable of supporting such purchases for a long time. True support for Armenia would be industrial and economic support where like us we make Armenia a self sufficient country and their economy is able to afford all of our advanced weapons systems. This of course is the long run solution
That model would not work for a small country like Armenia.

And since Armenia has limited manpower, that manpower would have to come from Iran.

Tejas is Failed program it's been Rejected by it's main customer Indian Air Force.
Azerbaijan has the barak 8 SAM system that they acquired from Israel. The system that is believed can bring down the Brahmos. We should provide Armenia with both the BRAHMOS missile and barak 8 SAM.
Barak 8 will have to be approved by Israel and they will not approve against Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan have green pine radar and barack 8 missile too.

@djsk750official8 So? They have acquired only 12 Barak 8s, which can be overwhelmed with litering ammunition or cheaper missiles. After the Barak 8s are overwhelmed, Brahmos can be easily launched. Additionally, Azerbhaijan cannot cover its entire area with 12 Barak 8s which will allow Penetration. The precision of Brahmos will allow it in this penetration.
Armenia needs complete transformation of their military. From fighter jets to drones, attack helicopters, guided missiles and most importantly air defence systems. For the time being India should offer MR SAM along with Akash to protect their airspace. And then Bramhosh + Pralay + Rudram for offensive role. Since Armenia and Azerbaijan both are small country. It will be better to procure more balestic and cruse missiles than fighter jets and other things. Pralay and Bramhosh can hit Baku (capital of Azerbaijan), which is very difficult to intercept. How is that gonna happen? Armenia is an extremely poor country with a population of few million, and quite a large number of them are old. Armenia lost a significant portion of its army in the Karabagh war. It will take decades to rebuild their army unless they discover massive amount of gold or diamonds.

None of these systems Armenia has bought from India are battle tested, and it is a fact that India operates Israeli, Korean, or Russian counterparts to these systems in large numbers and continues to import them for Indian armed forces.
So the AzerbaijanI assertion that India is using Armenia as a testing ground for its haf baked weapons systems is on the spot.

Armenia is a very poor country with a very small population. The Karabagh War broke the back of the Armenian army and the economy, and it will take decades to rebuild their army. Moreover, India provided some weapons and weaponry systems to Armenia before the second Karabagh war. What happened in the end? Azerbaijan defeated Armenians in 24 hours, and Armenians got out of the last pieces of land they were occupying in Karabagh.
Indians should understand the geopolitics of the region. In this region even the US and France can do nothing. Only Russia can change the game, and they are definitely not supporting an Armenia sitting on the laps of the US and EU.

One fact that we can't deny is that Armenia has shown faith in Indian weapons and products more than our own army or defence ministry.
I think Armenia should be armed with good missiles and aur defence system as their kill probability is very good.
Also they only have 4 sukhois, won't do much even if india provides A2A or A2G missiles. On the contrary probably of getting one shot down is higher, which they can't afford.
