Nice. Very nice. A tad high on price but nice. We started watching Video #1 and decided to take a shot of tequila every time Mr. Casson said "excellent condition". We're now hammered beyond belief.
Ok, I was thinking his excellent condition and mine don’t quite match up. I will give it all high marks but then his “ this is the only water damage and the rest is excellent...” until we get to the next water damage. Over all, this trailer was excellent. Wish I thought of the drinking game though.
That was our first Spartan...and probably our favorite !!! Currently restoring 2 1948's...frame off & in need of everything. Fun bringing life back to these classics !!!!
UNBELIEVABLE! I owned & lived in this same year Spartan during my college years at Ole Miss in the late sixties/early seventies. This Spartan is in better shape today (Brians's 2010 video) than mine was 40 years ago! Thank you for posting and bringing back some great Spartan memories, Brian!
I am in love. I hope whomever got her takes super good care of her. I think with it all being original, the 65k is a steal! I love original, unrestored trailers, provided there's no structural damage, inside or out. Beautiful looking interior. It's like going back in time to when the trailer was built. Thanks for posting. :)
I loved the Spartan logo near the door, the unique sink in bathroom, and the Martini glasses embedded in wood panel! So very Midcentury modern! Brian, you do a lot of interesting videos. Please consider getting a wide angle lens and proper camera, not a cell phone. Video quality is very poor, out of focus, poor resolution on images, and your hand shakes a lot. A tripod would be better to pan around. With the small RV spaces, you need a wide angle lens. These films are records of antique campers and of great interest and historical value. Please consider upgrading to a Nikon entry level digital camera with a good wide angle lens. And a tripod! Thank you for your videos, much appreciated!
$65k was what he asked. This seems to actually be reasonable. This is built to a quality that someone could live in it. What a beautiful example of post war American craftsmanship

I remembered that! I’ve slept in too! In early 60’s in Texas, my grandparents bought it used. It was slightly wear and tear. Later, they moved to a ranch in Roswell, New Mexico. That property contains a small post war house, gas tank, propane, shed, and more..... On rear of their house with very steep of cliff. They moved into the house. So, what they did do is? Use the trailer as a guest house since their house was way too small. Interior of trailer. I remembered front window with mini fluorescent lighting. Next to the front door was a heater tower. Flooring was bare wood. Bit dried but making creaky noises. The chest in living area where they placed on a 19 inch TV. Dining booth seating was white vinyl. In living area where, I’ve slept with twin beds. But no curtains. Lightings did scared me. My parents slept in rear bedroom. It’s bit crowded for them. And the bathroom, I remembered no tub and the shower head was top of sink and drainage on the floor. We only use a toilet and to bath in main house since, that bathroom was bit rust. My grandfather added a breezeway from rear door to connect main house to kitchen door. Until early 70’s. They sold the house including trailer and moved another town 50 miles away. Over 50 years ago and my memory is still sharp.
I was born in 53 so very impressed at the condition of this beauty. If you have the funds for investment this would be well worth it. Just a step back in time & quality.
What a beautiful unit......was it under cover while used as a cabin?......It always seems the roofs leak on these styles of units......but yours was immaculate.....I think someone got a good deal for 65K......much more character than any airstream.....
An absolutely amazing specimen from that time! Wish I had the money to buy it. All I can do is look at it and kick myself. I love small cozy places like that. Would probably be the last house I ever owned

Hopefully he LEARNS from some of the feedback so that next time he films wider shots. Why do you find the need to apologise to him for the public comments? ... bizarre.
Funny, the wife and kids and I just spent some time camping up the poudre in the late fall (I went to CSU almost 30 yrs ago) and I've been looking at and researching vintage and new trailers ever since.. Just stumbled on this and all I can say is wow,.. I wish... I imagine some doctor or lawyer had it and the altitude and trees kept it preserved from weather or too much sun.

A bit frustrating to watch as I have the same spartan, and was really hoping to see the interior layout clearly. The video is so shaky and fast, it’s almost dizzying to watch it very long! No mention of the appliance brands, etc. So at this point I still don’t know how our interior can be duplicated after viewing this hot mess. Such a shame as it’s clearly a gorgeous Spartan “sigh” 😕
do these have wooden frames? we were looking under one we saw for sale and it looked like their were some wood trusses that were not in good shape - didn't know if there was also steel or aluminum - or if the wood being rotten would make it too crazy of a project to take on.
shari Pilaria The only Spartans I know of with wood framing are the 1954 or so Spartanetts. All the others were aluminum. They did have thin wood strips screwed to the aluminum framing to attach the paneling.
We have this same trailer, but ours still has the sign on the outside and It says Spartan Imperial Mansion. Could it be some kind of different model? And a few different lay out. We love ours, but where to start to make her beautiful again.?
Very nice. Definitely not for me even if it were still available, too pretty to suit my plans, I'm looking for shell ideas to completely strip and do a custom build. Haven't seen any floor plans that come with a rear queen, kid's bunks, a full bath with seperate shower, and a real kitchen with space for a chest freezer. Spartan sure did have impressive bodies, and their windows are some of the best ever put on wheels, the only question I have is the suitability of the roof for a PV power system

Unbelievable! This Trailer had to have been covered and lived in a very Dry Climate with little or no rain! Or it was reconditioned and this guy doesn't know it!
So does your camera only shoot close up? No view farther than 18” lol. Would have been nice to get a non close up view. Also, you say everything is basically in excellent condition and all original. All you had to do was clean it with some wax and old English so why the high price? Just because a new airstream is overpriced doesn’t mean yours is worth that much lol.

At no time would he pull back and pan to give an idea of what was tantalizingly glimpsed in close up, the overall effect of the incredible curves in the cabinetry in relation to the layout of the whole space. No decent view of the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom etc etc.
I would think that is WHY he can get so much more for it. Almost the entire thing is ALL original. And honestly, if you look at the prices of these things 65K is a GREAT price. God knows if I had the money I would have bought it in a heartbeat.

all the woodwork is in absolutely amazing condition considering that it is a 1950 model! unrestored condition of the trailer is beautiful
