Brian, you and your wife are truly restoration artists. I retired almost a year and a half ago, and I dream of owning one of your masterpieces. Please continue to do what you do, as you truly inspire us all to restore and build something!
I love all these videos, Brian Casson reminds me of my dead Father in the way he keeps showing us these things and his style of commentary. Thank you i enjoyed this and i hope you are well.
just love the fine birch and mahogany wood finishing inside, absolutely gorgeous! This is what I really appreciate about the old Airstreams and the Spartan; in addition to, of course, the shiny mirror exteriors....they really are works of art on wheels.........You do wonderful work, Sir. Appreciate the tour. Thank you!
I just purchased a ‘48 Manor. Mine is in much poorer condition; however, I am saving as much original interior as can. I am a poor guy with reasonable dreams. Hope to get it back with all new birch on walls and ceiling. Thanks for your inspiration. Kurt in Arkansas
I lived in one of these in the early 50's as a baby until 5 years old. In Tulsa. I distinctly remember the curved wood and a train set for Christmas. My parents had it hauled off because there was no market for it at the time. You did a great job. Thanks for sharing!
I can feel the love you put into restoring this beautiful trailer. I especially loved the background music. I hope you and your wife have many years enjoying your trailer together!
This is amazing!!!! I am very seriously looking at a spartan camper that needs a bit of restoration (the vents on the roof have leaked and it has set unused for about 40 years but the exterior is in excellent shape and the cabinets and floor are in great shape!!! I am hoping to do half as good of a job as you have!!!
David Bullis, Me to, David. My daddy's favorite singer was Jackie Wilson and the song was his favorite. He grew up in the 50s. He passed away at 69 years of age and this song reminds me of him. He even met Jackie on an airplane. Just thought i would share his story.
I’m in love with these trailers , fantastic American craftsmanship , these are the best trailers by far , great reno job , you must be very happy with it x
What a great job! I love these old trailers! The only thing I dont like is the wood makes it very dark to me. I would love to modernize them with white and more modern colors!
What a beautiful job you did on this. Reminds me of when I once lived in a 1958, 10 x 42 foot mobile home that had the exact same interior look. Beautiful old wood that just needed some cleaning and oiling. Pretty sure it was birch as well.
Beautiful job on this classic trailer. I love all of the wood. 1 of my aunts had an old airstream from the 50s parked at her farm. I would have loved to get my hands on. Sadly after she passed, and we went out to the farm thrives had stripped the trailer. This thing was all original. Only needed 1 part of the floor replaced right inside the door. I was so sad to see it destroyed.
omg!!! Friends of my parents had an identical model they kept at a lake on a rented lot where they spent many weekends ! Their daughter was about 6 years older than I was and became like the older sister I never had and they had me in tow on many of those weekend jaunts! This was in the early to mid 1970s. The fridge and woodwork exact except the floor plan was flipped opposite. Otherwise the same. They had a sofa in the front with a hide a bed where the adults slept. And another couch that laid flat in back where their daughter and I slept. I cannot recall the restroom but know there was 1 lol. They had 2 boats 1 a party barge the other a speed boat where we skied and swam all day every day !
a magnificent restoration happens when done by a man who has a generous respect for an era, a design........✨........shame on you for not opening that awesome refrigerator!!
Beautiful looking Spartan Manor. Are you planning to do anything with it? Sell it? Travel with it? If I could afford to buy one myself, I'd keep as much original as possible while also upgrading it to make it as modern as possible. Merry Christmas. :)
WOW. Nice job. They don't make them like that anymore, eh. I would be too scared to take it on the road after all the work that went into it. Can you show the other vehicles in there?
Taking the wall out by the kitchen was a great idea. Beautiful trailer.

I did a 49 Royal Mansion and gutted it but had to replace almost all the wood. I was very hard work . You did a great job !

Esta bello😍😍😍😍
Beautiful! I was wondering if you had tried the synthetic plywood that is water proof? It's used for roofs and subfloors.
Beautiful job beautiful trailer!
what did they sell for back then?
Looks like a great job. Just wish you would've panned out so you can see an entire room instead of panels of areas
The wood is beautiful. What kind of stain did you use? It has a warm glow to it.
WOW. Nice job. They don't make them like that anymore, eh. I would be too scared to take it on the road after all the work that went into it. Can you show the other vehicles in there?
I had one with a wall oven
I am wondering how you fastened the panels to the walls and ceiling?
STUNNING...DID IT SELL?
I have a nice 48 just like that come get it in north florida
