I still remember getting to floor 73 or so with this one person, we had been doing it for so long that the other two players had left and it was like two in the morning for me, then we failed by missing a single Polterpup that we had just found but couldn’t vacuum in time.
I will never understand the concept 'count for one, not for all' in multiplayer modes. It basically turns anyone else you play with into your worst enemies cause whilst they are good to help in general, they can turn into the worst people whenever they steal shit you need.
Which is extra baffling because some floors literally require co-op for a single room to unlock what could be literally the last ghost. And you would not believe how many people don't realize
The concept is often better to use for online versus games where you just wanna jump in and play. TF2 is a good example, as each class is designed with a singleplayer mindset while keeping multiplayer balance in mind.
I think it further emphasizes the need for playing with friends for coordination. In version 1 I was fine with playing with Randos, but with the DLC packs I found myself preferring the company of one friend as opposed to two to three Randos, especially the ones who are trolls, have absolutely no idea what they’re doing, or didn’t know how the hidden Hammer/Goob rooms worked. I’ve no patience for those sorts and just block them asap.

I feel like Scarescraper is very hit-or-miss. I personally loved it, as did many of my friends, but I also have heard many people say they didn’t like it. I feel like it depends in how much people like the combat, as that’s most of the gameplay in Scarescraper.

I agree, I was so so, SO dissapointed the super vaccuum was used just... 3 times, and only to clear random obstacles ,rather than actually fighting. For having to do a lengthy floor to get it, felt very underwhelming. I really did expect to use it on a boss, or even against king boo.
Scarescraper is something you go in with a group of friends.... Never go in with random online people they are inconsiderate... And Yeah it has RNG like lights out and taking away your vacuum but if you look past all that it’s pretty fun and gives variety to the game. Though I really wish they didn’t give us a time limit... It’s fun going through it alone. It feels like a extension of the game and with random floors and rooms it’s always something new but the time limit and depending on what costume we wear determines what floor we get. Scarescraper could be the best game mode, but there’s limitations that they unnecessarily put on the game that prevents it from being an appealing online/offline component, everybody gets turn off by the RNG the Time limit and Repetitiveness of some floors if they didn’t have costume restrictions.
I'm currently completing Luigi's mansion 3 I only have the multiplayer achievements to go! I actually heavily enjoy the whole game and actually enjoy grinding in scarescraper mode

Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of my favorite Nintendo Switch games and not to mention i got this game on Christmas day of last year. i was happy to get it and i played through the first part of it.
If you look at the context of the final boss, the reason in world for the time limit is because king boo is sucking the whole hotel into a giant painting, and of course, you have to suck him up before the process is done, or else, game over. I liked that tension, but I agree, would have been a great place to implement the super vacuum into the fight.
One of the best games on the switch. The piano and the final boo boss were abit frustrating but on the whole a real fun experience. Definitely recommended
Think I'm going to pick this up in September to get me in the Halloween spirit. It will be my first Luigi Mansion game, but it looks really fun and relaxing.
Oh my god. This game was an absolute masterpiece! With only a few exceptions, I loved almost every part of my playthroughs! I wasn’t a huge fan of hunting for Polterkitty, Fighting the piperoom boss, the seemingly pointless boos, or time limit during the King Boo fight, but the soundtrack, comedy, and sheer life that this game gives to the world of Nintendo and the Mario Bros series is undeniably extravagant. I adored this game! Fun fact, I totally vacuumed the entirety of the pyramid room. So much fun and I giggled at myself for the twenty minutes it took while my roommates shook their heads at me. But when that floor was SQUEAKY CLEAN, I KNEW I was ascending to become a true vacuumy LEGEND.
The hardest enemy always seems to be multiplayer. I also love seeing this series grow as Luigi gains for power. Another great video congrats Jirard and TOVG crew.
Scare Scraper gave you a GUARANTEED new rare ghost on Floor 5 in Dark Moon and I have no idea why it doesn't do that in 3... It also gave it to everyone (since it was only a single, sometimes two, boss ghost)...
Today I learned Canadians say "sorry" so much that The Apology Act was passed in 2009, declaring that an apology can't be used as evidence of admission of guilt.
In the Hotel Shops floor, I’m not sure if anyone has noticed, but if you beat the boss and get the button in two player mode, there’s an alternative cutscene to that of single player, and I just love that attention to detail.
I’m not sure what it is about this show, but I feel like the writing is somewhat inconsistent/unprofessional. Not that there’s anything wrong with it being unprofessional since it means it has some creative freedom, but I sometimes feel some inconsistency with some of the opinions expressed. Thinking back to the Sonic Mania video where all games after 3&K are bashed and then later on, we hear stuff about how Sonic Adventure 2 is a favorite. Just a little something that throws me off. The show does have points of solid video game criticism along with neat side content which is great to see.
Totally agree with you. My grandson and I loved this game. Can be played alone of course but we loved the two player. Even today it is in both our top three favorites
I don't mind the randomness of the online because I want to put in a lot of time into it. The longer it takes to get all the rare ghost means the more time I can put into it witch is exactly what I want.
Nintendo updated Luigi's Mansion 3 a while ago that allows you to play the Scareskraper by yourself, there's now DLC which contain new multiplayer modes and skins.
A simple way I can picture to deal with the ghost collecting and the interesting you things you get for completing them would be simply adding in a new game + and maybe even a new game ++ Through new game + you would keep everything you’ve collected previously and have a chance to run into these special ghosts that would normally only be found in the online function. And a new game + + a lot of the ghosts get replaced with the tougher variance further in the game and those rare hard-to-find ghosts become a lot more of a common force to contend with. That way if your diligent enough you could get all of the achievements and added aesthetics in just new game + which could mean new game + + would give you the ability to enjoy the things you unlock. Or using it you would more likely be able to complete the collection.
Dark Moon had the same issue with the Scarescraper boss ghosts for completion. But there, at least you could solo your way to the fifth floor (in a non-five floor game), then quit and try again. In 3, it's harder to do Scarescraper solo.
This game was awesome. I didn't even touch the Scarescraper mode, but I think I did everything possible outside of that. Looks like I made the right choice.
Oooohhh so that's were you get the rare ghosts. I remember getting s tank when the game first released. I had everything except the rare ghosts and I was so confused how I could complete the entire game without even encountering 1 I never played scare scraper but I might now just to get them
My favorite thing about Luigi's Mansion 3 is the Punch Out!!! reference on the movie floor. I think it's funny that there is no Punch Out!!! references in ARMS but there's one in Luigi's Mansion 3.
I agree with this 100%, but I think that fully completing the game is drawn out is because it was a game mostly made for just beating the final boss. This is why there is literally no post-game in story mode.

I think the idea of Luigi being in Mario's shadow has become an old fashioned way of thinking these days. Luigi's as legit as Mario and has been for a while, plus Luigi's Mansion became a trilogy, while Super Mario Galaxy (not to suggest I don't love it) couldn't even get a third game.
Lou Sassole
Luigi has been as legit as Mario since he was introduced
Super Mario Galaxy doesn’t need a trilogy when Nintendo can make other styles of 3D Mario games
@@Sjono I know, I just mean he spent so many years being "player 2" in so many gamers' eyes. Don't get me wrong, I love Super Mario Galaxy; I don't think anything I was trying to say came across quite right. I digress; let's just be glad Luigi's Mansion 3 finally exists and is so smashing!
I never thought this was going to happen! Luig's Mansion is my favorite spinoff series of all time and LM3 is my favorite in the series and in my top 5 favorite games of all time, I'm so glad this video is happening!

Screampark Mode: Am I a joke to you?
can’t tell if ur joking or not but one small gamemode doesnt equal the entire game, so yeah, screampark *mode* is a joke to him.
You know there are a ton of Luigi fans that are going to berate you for saying that "Luigi doesn't jump" line...
My love for Luigi is unconditional.
I feel like I remember the first game almost being an actual horror game. If they could do that with Luigi’s Mansion it’d be awesome
It was still fairly goofy, but it was as close as they ever got.
I'm sad we'll definitely never see a full-horror Luigi's Mansion, though, since you know, it would ultimately sell less.
Did you mean?:Luigi's Mansion 1 when I was 6?
@@koyo427 You can't tell me even now the bottomless darkness that is the lighting of that game and the ghosts that haunt it is not leagues scarier than either of the sequels
@@demascus3vods I was young when I got weegees mansion and when the sequels game it wasn't scary anymore
This is one of my all time favorite games right here.
The reason why there was a time limit on the boss fight was because the Giant frame was going to destroy the mansion. It adds tension to the final boss because well ITS THE FINAL BOSS.
LM3 king boo fight has to be the hardest there is because of the time limit.
I can't imagine him tackling hitman 2. May have to become a patron just to see if he could even do it.
I feel like Scarescraper is very hit-or-miss. I personally loved it, as did many of my friends, but I also have heard many people say they didn’t like it. I feel like it depends in how much people like the combat, as that’s most of the gameplay in Scarescraper.
FINALLY ITS BEEN 8 MONTHS IVE WAITED FOR THIS
13:04 Because King Boo was about to trap the entire F***ing Hotel in the painting?!
This really gives me the urge to go back and play dark moon again
I loved the dance club level. Seeing Luigi dance along was a nice touch.
Nintendo has a history of being rather lackluster on the completionist awards.
900 Korok Seeds anyone?
That's why I didn't bother with the Korok seeds.
That was 100% intentional game design. They want you to be able to find seeds wherever you are on the map, but not collect all 900. The non-prize is supposed to prevent that.
don't forget the golden toothpick in splatoon 2
Never been a fan of that. I get that they don't always want to take time to make these amazing things 90% of players will NEVER see, but I wish it didn't often feel like :
"Oh, you loved our game so much that you took time out of your day to see everything we've passionately included?"
...
"Woah, you're sad. Go outside, nerd."
@@matthewjones6786 I never felt an ounce of compulsion to go out of my way looking for more of those. It was just sort of a nice find if I stumbled upon one, but it never ran through my mind that I must scour the entire map for every single one. Stuff like that gives me panic attacks because I'm not sure I would've even had that kinda time on my hands when I was young lol
I thought for sure that I would be using the super vacuum at some point during the final boss, boy was I surprised.
Oh man, this will be a "Finish It" for sure.
naw he complains about every game
I haven’t been around for long enough but what are the ratings he can give a game and what do they mean?
@@yeettm8014 Complete it means it is worth 100% the game
Finish it means to just complete a game's campaign and put it down.
Play it just means to just play the game for as long as you want then put it down.
Look at it means to just buy the game and leave it there.
Donate it means you should well just donate the game because its not worth it for you to play the game.

I like the 2 player mode in this game because it is better than Nintendo's OTHER attempts to add coop to a single player game. Gooigi is not only needed to beat the game, he also fits the role for a good player 2, ; compared to Mario galaxy(A pointer) Mario galaxy 2,(a pointer with a player model) and Mario Odyssey(A hat), Gooigi is a great character with a great design.
Too bad he has no personality.
Easily one of the best games I’ve ever played
I agree, I was so so, SO dissapointed the super vaccuum was used just... 3 times, and only to clear random obstacles ,rather than actually fighting. For having to do a lengthy floor to get it, felt very underwhelming. I really did expect to use it on a boss, or even against king boo.
This game in my eyes is the greatest switch game

“Luigi has always been a hustler, always in his brother shadow”
Do you actually know what a hustler is?
He's *hustling* to get out of Mario's shadow, it's a very literal term, you see...
It’s Called a Hustle Sweetheart and He’s not the Hustle he Is.
@@isaacrodriguez4773 lol
yeah that confused me too. has the meaning of that term changed or something?
I think he meant "hustle" as in to work fast, not the kind that scams people.
I'm currently completing Luigi's mansion 3 I only have the multiplayer achievements to go!
I actually heavily enjoy the whole game and actually enjoy grinding in scarescraper mode
luigi created the world out of a few grapes.
he’s clearly the superior brother.
12:12-12:18 I feel like that’s a jab at Steven Universe, but I didn’t really mind the padding for that all too much, and since I am not a completionist, I didn’t really go crazy looking for everything in this game
Luigi’s Hotel Transilvania 3.
Luigi’s Haunted Last Resort.
Luigi's Mansion 3 is one of my favorite Nintendo Switch games and not to mention i got this game on Christmas day of last year. i was happy to get it and i played through the first part of it.
12:49 If you’re actually telling me you don’t see the giant portal in the background sucking in the mansion, you need to see a doctor.
If you look at the context of the final boss, the reason in world for the time limit is because king boo is sucking the whole hotel into a giant painting, and of course, you have to suck him up before the process is done, or else, game over. I liked that tension, but I agree, would have been a great place to implement the super vacuum into the fight.
"Best "cartoon" representation of Mario" - Classic Paper Mario games say "am I joke to you?" :p
One of the best games on the switch. The piano and the final boo boss were abit frustrating but on the whole a real fun experience. Definitely recommended
I honestly believe Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the most polished game on the Switch, if not being the best game on the system.

Think I'm going to pick this up in September to get me in the Halloween spirit. It will be my first Luigi Mansion game, but it looks really fun and relaxing.
I’ll never give up on this proposal. Please consider Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling.
I agree great game
@Retendo Steam and I respectfully disagree.
I can imagine that one being comfortable for "completioning"
Unless you're counting recipes. Fuck that. xD
"they have more personality than any boss in Mario Odyssey"
Me : wait... I can't remember any boss from Mario Odyssey
Exactly
Even the Broodals weren't all that interesting. You beat them in battle and then that's it. You forget them
The hardest enemy always seems to be multiplayer. I also love seeing this series grow as Luigi gains for power. Another great video congrats Jirard and TOVG crew.
I’ve never been this early before
I'm just trying to be LATE.
Hold up-
Scare Scraper gave you a GUARANTEED new rare ghost on Floor 5 in Dark Moon and I have no idea why it doesn't do that in 3... It also gave it to everyone (since it was only a single, sometimes two, boss ghost)...
Today I learned Canadians say "sorry" so much that The Apology Act was passed in 2009, declaring that an apology can't be used as evidence of admission of guilt.
Bot
It’s not a Canadian thing it’s just an American thing of them not saying it
In the Hotel Shops floor, I’m not sure if anyone has noticed, but if you beat the boss and get the button in two player mode, there’s an alternative cutscene to that of single player, and I just love that attention to detail.

Lionkopar not sad at all :)
You definitely weren’t first
Literally no one cares
Yh literally no one cares about you being excited or first in fact you weren’t first you seven year old...
If no one cared you wouldn’t reply you only make it more noticeable that way
Did you know you can use the Darklight to scan for Polterkitty?
I really enjoyed Luigi´s Mansion 3! So charming, so nice, so cool! But there is one thing that was missing there for me.
DAISY!
I still find it weird that Luigi is known for being a better jumper than Mario, but at the same time he doesn't jump at all in Luigis mansion
A simple way I can picture to deal with the ghost collecting and the interesting you things you get for completing them would be simply adding in a new game + and maybe even a new game ++
Through new game + you would keep everything you’ve collected previously and have a chance to run into these special ghosts that would normally only be found in the online function.
Or using it you would more likely be able to complete the collection.
dude you are so right I hated having to collect all the rare ghost it took 4 weeks for me to find them all
Dark Moon had the same issue with the Scarescraper boss ghosts for completion.
I had everything except the rare ghosts and I was so confused how I could complete the entire game without even encountering 1
I never played scare scraper but I might now just to get them
7:03 "Iii'l show Rick, I just know that Netflix will buy my script if I finish my pilot. Oh jeez Luigi can't you just come back later?"
Some of the cutscenes are different in co-op, which is great! Luigi and gooigi reacting at the same time.
My favorite thing about Luigi's Mansion 3 is the Punch Out!!! reference on the movie floor. I think it's funny that there is no Punch Out!!! references in ARMS but there's one in Luigi's Mansion 3.
17:40 funny how the electric oozer was the first "rare" ghost I got in the scarescraper I got it because I played by myself
This was easily one of the most entertaining games I played last year. MY friend and I had so much fun trying to figure out all the puzzles and stuff.
18:25 Sonic: What? Jirard?! Watch out! Achievements! Ahh!
The ScareScraper Achievements wasn’t hard for me personally, because I’ve beaten them with a friend offline. So, yeah.
Speaking of paper mario you have to do that next please I really really love origami king
I agree with this 100%, but I think that fully completing the game is drawn out is because it was a game mostly made for just beating the final boss. This is why there is literally no post-game in story mode.
