This game has a special place in my heart. My brother and I were always super competitive to the point where we always get to be at odds, but this game was one where we could sit together all day and take turns playing this absolute gem of a game.
Yup! I think it would be better if they consulted us. I have giant gushing feelings for this game. It’s a top ten Nintendo game of all time. Certainly a top 3 mario title. It’s got the awesome 3D graphics with the original 4 games linear level design.

Do you ask people if they know what a script is if they laugh at characters in a TV show screwing with other characters? It's not like it's improvised, Scott's never worked that way for stuff like this and I don't think I've heard Jirard sound non-scripted possibly ever (since I don't watch his let's plays. Though there is the possibility that maybe they changed a line here or there to just catch Jirard off guard and get a more genuine-looking reaction. I have an actor friend who does that sometimes)

i got 100% (technically 202% considering both playthroughs and the 121st star for both brothers) on 3D All Stars, and my god the camera may have been kinda stupid at times, but that didn't stop me from loving and completing this game! i love how it even saves the completion bonus picture to your album
I remember playing this game for hours as a kid, and I also equally remember the sequel. I can't really describe what makes this so special, wether it's the hypnotic soundtrack or the mind bending level design. So nice to see a look back on it from modern day, and that it isn't totally forgotten about. Thanks for covering this, brought back a tonne of great memories.

i prefer to think of super mario galaxy 1 & 2 as one, as Super Mario Galaxy 2 was originally a kind of DLC, also I can’t choose which is best. (But, Like Scott, I prefer the first one, for it’s magic and vibe)

You know retelling it brought back a fraction of that fear for a minute, strange

Okay so I was just casually watching this at the start. I started to walk away with my headphones in and then I heard “I’m joined by my good friend Scott the Wozz”. I ALMOST TRIPPED in shock and excitement that 2 of my favorite youtubers coming together on one of my favorite video games ever.

Been a Mario fan since 1988, when I wa a kiddo. It's 2020 and I have 2 sons and still love the moustached plumber. Galaxy is a masterpiece, can't stress enough how GOOD it is.
This game and the sequel will always be my favorites of all time. So many happy memories and it’s how I got into video games as a whole. Such a good score as well as masterfully designed levels and challenges set them apart from anything I’ve ever played.
