NSDR Non Sleep Deep Rest | 10 Minute Yoga Nidra

- A 10 Minute Yoga Nidra Non-Sleep Deep Rest Meditation. In this meditation, we are introduced to the first half of the 61 points of Yoga Nidra, a healing practice for deep relaxation and renewed vitality that brings profound levels of rest to the body and nervous system, as well as to the senses and the mind.
Non-Sleep Deep Rest is a term that is now being used to describe the Ancient practice of yoga nidra. Studies done on these mediations reveal that meditation can slow down brain wave frequency, similar to when you're in a deep sleep.
As you enter into the same brain waves in yoga nidra that you would during "slow wave sleep," you are able to experience similar healing and rejuvenating benefits to this phase of sleep. Studies show "a greater percentage of growth hormone is released during this stage. Growth hormone promotes tissue growth and repair and also plays a role in enhancing your mental capacity." 10/8

Thank you! 🙏Please leave a little 30 sec buffer at the end next time. Couldn't hit pause fast enough and an ad burst into the calm! 😅
Thanks for the tip!
Same!!
Same
Same too lol. Online shopping app's as burst in very high energy, was jarring lol
Thanks for the video.
Thank you, Tim! Yoga Nidra is great. Wouldn’t mind a longer version. 😊
Ok. Got it Thanks
i hope to do yoga out side .
to give us high energy .
Second this! All 62 points would be great
It's been really hard to find a teacher with good voice for yoga nidra. Until I found yours! It would be great if you can make 20 and 30 min yoga nidra sessions. I want to have a longer session, but I want to do it with your soothing guiding voice.
Coming soon! Are you signed up for my 2024 30 day challenge ?
You have the best hypnotic voice. I was floating through awareness coming in and out. My whole body relaxed 1000%. Every time you do that voice or like when you do voice over it’s great. ASMR Tim! Lol it’s like we are in your brain 🧠 while doing the practice with you it’s cool. 🎉
Glad you liked it. Thanks
Hi Tim... In India we celebrate 5th sep as Teacher's Day.. I would like to wish you a very happy Teacher's Day.. thank you for being there and guiding us and making us fitter and calmed. Can't thank you enough.. 🙏🙏
You're most welcome! Thank you
I loove your voice. Its super, super important for nidra. It is obvious that you guided it from "state of nidra", which is precious for a teacher. Technique, voice and pace- very nice. I enjoy your yoga classes in general
❤
Thank you so much Maša 🙂
Very well done - my nervous system is in deep bliss after this beautiful short yoga nidra rest. I feel such a release, a lightness 🦋 Thank you ❤
You're so welcome!
Very calming, thank you!
Thank you, Tim. As always, this is wonderful, and exactly what I needed in this moment. Much gratitude
You're welcome and glad it worked for you
Yes! Loved this! Would like a full body version! So helpful 🙏🏻🙏🏻
There's a full version on my CMC site. www.timsenesiyoga.com/consciousmovement
I love this, Tim. Adding to the requests for a longer version, maybe 15-20 min? A CMC version would also be appreciated! Thank you for adding this to your content!
Thanks for the suggestion Peg 😉
It's back! Yay! I watched this a few days ago, but think the original audio was messed up, but this was a fun (freaky!) little nighttime session!
Yah, i forgot to edit out Ollie barking 😂
Thanks Tim! This was so restorative on a busy day and felt much longer than 10mins. A little yoga nidra goes a long way!
Indeed! 😉
I went to your channel tonight to search for something to do before bedtime and this was the first thing on your page. Loved it and have never done this. Thank you! Namaste.
Great. Glad you liked it. Thanks Mimi
So much gratitude for all you provide us 💙

Tim this was so good 😊 thank you!!
So glad you dig it
Thank you Tim 🙏
You are very welcome
Wowwwww amazing! Thank you so much
You're welcome
great video; thanks! I did find that announcing the numbers before each of the 31 points was distracting to the meditation
Wow this was interesting and it won't be the last time I try this. Thank you.
You're welcome
Holy s**t man! This is excellent!! Thank you
You're welcome
This was delicious! I could have lay in the bright light all day. I feel so refreshed
Great to hear that. Thanks CG
Wow!! Transformational! Is this part of a series? Sounds like we are going on a Nidra Journey!!! Please sign me up Tim. I felt a shift...
Yup, more to come! new one in a few weeks probably
This is the first time encountering your page. Thank you for the session. Not sure yet if you do these often, but I'd love to join another session in the near future
Glad you found us. Welcome to the channel. There are more than 400 videos on my site and available to you. Also if you're signed up on the site with your email address you'll be able to receive a video each day for 30 days starting Jan. 1 - the 2024 30 Day Challenge.
This helped me so much
So good to hear. Thanks Diane
Hey tim. Very few NSDR videos have worked for me and yours is definitely one of them.
Small feedback, from 32 to 61 the voice is a little different due to the add on which kind of causes a small disruption. If it could be in one modulation and frequency, it'd be more effective. Thanks.
Love from India
Appreciate that. Thanks
Un moment suspendu merci Tim 🙏 Sylvie 😊
De rien Sylvie
Mulțumesc, Tim!🙂
Cu plăcere Corina
You’re welcome
It's my first time to see you and it's really good ❤
OK. Cool and welcome to the channel
Fantastic 🤩🥰
Thank you Patricia
Your voice is soooo calming, I too would love a longer version 😊 will there be yoga nidra on cmc? ❤
Thanks! Yes, in the hour long class I’m posting in a couple weeks it ends with a yoga nidra :)
It's up ; )
Thank you Tim! Any way to put ad at the beginning before starting the yoga nidra practice? Fell asleep & the ad at the end wasn’t a great way to wake up
Ads are a bummer, but You can watch it ad free on the Cmc. If you haven’t joined yet, here’s a link: www.timsenesiyoga.com/consciousmovement
Thank you for the short video! I must have missed the main video about yoga nidra because I was on holiday. Namaste 🙏🏼
The main Yoga Nidra video is on the CMC (Conscious Movement Community).

You’re welcome. I hope you enjoy the meditation
I’m still unfamiliar with most of the pillars of yoga, and even the pranayama element of hatha tbh. I really enjoy your introductions to these aspects that are not as popular in the west US
Thank you. My CMC course is a great way to learn if you'd like to immerse yourself deeper. Here is the link to join: www.timsenesiyoga.com/consciousmovement
🙏 namaste. 😊
🙏🙏
This is perfect. I have had trouble falling asleep my entire adult life due to past trauma and this helped. I am going to keep at it. Also, as far as the dog barking in the original video, that’s real life and a great lesson in learning to focus with distraction. Whether it’s a fleeting thought or a dog barking, there will always be distractions that we need to adapt to. Real life isn’t about perfection. That’s impossible to obtain. If you allow, it can be about adapting to your surroundings that you sometimes have little control over and finding peace in that. Now That is a skill to master! Thank you for posting the video 😊
Good point. My pleasure. Yoga Nidra isn’t so much about learning to fall asleep but instead is about learning meditation in state that is somewhere in between waking, sleeping, and dreaming. In this state you enter it’s as restorative as deep sleep and you gain access to the subconscious.
First of all, thank you very much for spreading this Yoga Nidra to us, I want to ask you something, from where did you learn this Yoga Nidra?! Thank you again you are doing a great job...✨♥️
Some great books i read by Nidra teachers :)
The dog is definitely hypnotised 😅
Hahaha! 🤣
thankyou! longer and or part 2? =]
Thanks for the request : )
Thanks Tim this was awesome do you drink caffeine?
Glad you liked it. Not at the moment
i can see that your canine friend is deep in yoga nidra
Haha! Yes! 😉
Great 10 minute video, thanks! Now you've got to work on teaching that dog to actually relax 😁
You're welcome. Glad you liked it
Thank you, how do you visualize the right and left chest tip, where is it located? Do you have a diagram of the points? Also, is there a 2nd part?
The nipple. There is! I have to make it still ;) give me a week and I’ll post it
@@yogawithtim Thank you, Tim. This really helps. I also listened to Dr. Andrew Huberman on this. NDSR, he does it a bit differently ua-cam.com/video/yb5zpo5WDG4/v-deo.html ....How to know which method is authentic?
Also, do you have an extended version? Dr.Huberman does it for up to 60 mins at a time.
@@yogawithtim Here is a walk through ua-cam.com/video/AKGrmY8OSHM/v-deo.html
Want to express my gratitude for your yoga nidra relaxation! I was introduced to yoga nidra earlier this year, and find it quite transformative. I'd like to offer one suggestion and one request: 1) A more gradual ending, transition from relaxation to awareness. Found I was in intense relaxation, and then the practice ended, and a blaring ad came on. and 2) Would you - or perhaps you have already - create a full body yoga nidra? These are two that I use, which are both about 30 min: ua-cam.com/video/n_ce66a9MV0/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/aAeUMNUubBE/v-deo.html I realize you're providing an intro, and see the benefit it presenting it in parts; but just offering what I think may help you expand its appeal!
Thanks for the feedback. This is the first in the series. Stay tuned for more ;) if the ads are too distracting you can watch all of my classes ad free on lmk membership site: www.timsenesiyoga.com/consciousmovement
I have been doing your version vs Dr. Andrew Huberman's NSDR and like your version much better. But you're only covering some, not all the point out of 61 ?
Thank you. Good question. As I mentioned, this is an introduction to the 61 points, and just covers the first half. I’ll be releasing a video with all 61 points soon.
@@yogawithtim Yes, I noticed you mentioned it at the beginning of the video...looking forward (very much so) to the 2nd part.
Do you do this right before bed (suppose to)?
Actually anytime you feel you need rest/relaxation
Freaky AF, but I'm glad it's in the March Challenge! 🎉
👍
Now I wish I had heard the one with the dog barking because that would have been hilarious lol.
Pretty good. About 200 people got to hear before I caught it. Maybe I'll repost ;)
I feel asleep
It's OK 😉
Awadh ojha sir recommended your channel
Okay. Thank you
nc
I fell asleep. Is it bad?
No. Not at all
Thank you :)
It was alright (despote 2 sharp noises) and then he started counting all 61 points? Why? 😅 Just let me unwind 🤨
This is a meditation on the first half of the 61 points meditation which is a Yoga Nidra technique. Meditating on the points will take you into Yoga Nidra : )
I don't like all that counting - by 17 it started to tense me up. Otherwise you have a good calm relaxing voice.
OK. Thanks Eileen
@@yogawithtim ❤
Kaun kaun awadh ojha sir ko sun ke yha aaya h😊
The ad at the end is very jarring
That’s UA-cam for ya. You can do my classes all ad free when you join the membership: www.timsenesiyoga.com/consciousmovement
Peccato che non capisco bene l'inglese...
Una volta iscritto puoi cliccare sui tre puntini “...” a destra vicino alla descrizione del video e cambiare la lingua dei sottotitoli. Grazie 😉
is that a dog or a statue?
😂 good one
this was pretty bad tbh there are better videos out there!
Thank you for the feedback
