Gents I really appreciated this video. It’s helped me sort out my tired old kitchen until I get the funds for a new one. Thanks a lot for the proper insight and guidance. You’re doing gods work with these videos !
Brilliant videos, watched the carpet laying and am about to do that. These guys are clear with their instructions. Will be laying vinyl after the carpets and will continue to refer to this. Great work thank you.
I've always fitted my own carpets and for friends and family, but when my daughter asked me to fit this in her 6m×3m kitchen, I had no confidence in myself, but after watching this I said I'd give it a go,,I had my 10yo grandson give me a hand to carry it to garden unroll, fold it and carry back in,and thankfully it all turned out good,,thanks for the tips,,unrolling and folding it lengthways was the key for me,so simple but I would have never thought of it, thank you
I enjoy watching UK Fitters Installing floors You do very nice freehand work. I installed floors for thirty-five years I am now retired. If I could spend a few hours with you guys I could teach you how to pattern flat lay as well as full coved sheet vinyl flooring. You can cut outside bring it inside and it will fit. If there are any tools you need I am willing to ship them to you. Just let me know.
This is a good guide to how to do this job , the only thing I would do differently is instead of cutting round the cupboard feet , just wind the feet up one at a time and push the vinyl underneath, then just wind the feet back down ( and yes Ive done it this way many times ) .
Very nice. I’m gonna lay vinyl in kitchen this weekend. I notice around door frame there’s a small gap to the floor so I can fit the vinyl under rather than trying to cut the fiddly profile…I guess this will be easier.
Hi I have got Felt Backed Vinyl (Warm Oak 909D Hightex Wood Vinyl Flooring) for frontroom and just wondered if spraying Vinyl Spray Adhesive around the edges would be enough? I have seen videos of people glueing all over the floor so unsure what this felt backed vinyl requires. Great video and thanks for your help.
Bloooomin EPIC tutorial!!! Cheers guys! That 18.02 minutes of perfect how to video, I can’t believe how much info you packed into that! I’m gonna “attempt“ ours…the unfortunate thing is I’ve gotta do it over tiles!! If I place 6mm plywood down secured with screws(in the grouted parts) flush and filled, will that be strong enough, I was thinking of 9mm but the lip from the hall into the kitchen would be much greater! ANY ADVICE be GREATLY APPRECIATED! P.s have subscribed and ❤️ because YOU’RE BOTH AWESOME !!!
Great video, appreciated. Quick question, I have felt back sheet vinyl. Can I use perimeter fixing like your have, or adhesive spray under vinyl? Im lating over plywood.
Hi guys, brilliant video. I am getting new skirting boards, would you recommend putting the skirting boards down first then vinyl flooring or lay the vinyl floor first then put the skirting down?
Great video! QQ: would you recommend a 3mm underlay for a concrete kitchen floor, then vinyl on top? I ask as my kitchen is freezing since its an extension and a lot of the heat loss feels like its through the concrete flooring
Is this ok to put some more of this tape for example in the middle of the room so it’s not going up while vacuuming the surface? Great video by the way 😁👍🏻
Hi guys just found the channel, looking to do my kitchen floor soon. The thing is my kitchen floor is really old tiles, would I be able to lay straight over them ? Or do I need to smash them out and sand the floor ?

Good job . But for perfection, latex floor or ply and stick vinyl all over . Less likely to rip or tear with table or chairs and will stay flat and water tight. Of course this is a more professional way of fitting.👌
Great video with easy to follow steps.. thanks so much! I feel a bit more confident about it now. Please do one on how to measure it in the first place! 🙃🫠🥴
You would lay the vinyl out cut away the waste fold half back and glue the floor then fit that half like this video and repeat on the 2nd half it's abit of a game if you don't know what ya doing can be messy too 👍
So if you just tuck the lino under the front of the washing it means if you need to pull that washing machine out it's gonna catch the lino and rip it. 🤷🏻♂️ Why not just do the job properly go under the whole of the washing machine and stop literally cutting corners?
As he said,,it's temporary flooring for a couple of months, so,what's the fkn point,,oh!,I see,you just like to leave a trail of negativity wherever you go,,the thing is,there's no such thing as a negative comment when it comes to the yt channels algorithm, so,keep on keeping on,staying negative,Peace Bro🙏
Hi guy's...a question about fitting a felt backed carpet, 2mm base with 12mm pile... How much of a gap in mm's should i leave between the 3M grip strips & skirting board for a 14mm thick ,12mm pile carpet ? i am putting down 8mm underlay....same carpet, 14mm thick , throughout the house....thank's guy's, great advice, i will re-watch this again when fitting the vinyl in my kitchen after fitting the 14mm, 2mm feltback carpets with 12 mm high pile carpet's throughout my flat....🗞👍

What do you about the threshold where it goes to another room and it meets the laminate?
Love this

Full stick can be a better option on larger areas but yes you can spray the edge 😊
@@homeimprovements My room is 15ft by 11ft. I will try spraying the edges thanks as don't have roller. Thanks for your help.
Nice one lads, hate kitchens in cushionfloor, but every day`s a schoolday.........Top vid.
Thanks mate 😊
Super vids...helped me loads. Class act.

Yep either still works on felt back vinyl 😊😊
Hi guys, brilliant video. I am getting new skirting boards, would you recommend putting the skirting boards down first then vinyl flooring or lay the vinyl floor first then put the skirting down?
First of your new to laying vinyl allows for some error that way 😊
Really great videos, was looking for one on vinyl planks and came across you guys, superb!
Awesome, thank you!
Great job boys. Thank you.
Hi guys,
Great video, thank for the tips!
One question please, is it possible to lay vinyl sheet over existing vinyl tiles?
Thanks…Simon
We wouldn’t recommend 👍🏻
Thanks!👍🏻
Great video!
QQ: would you recommend a 3mm underlay for a concrete kitchen floor, then vinyl on top?
I ask as my kitchen is freezing since its an extension and a lot of the heat loss feels like its through the concrete flooring
Vinyl can go on underlay unfortunately 🙁
I have learned alot from you both. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Is this ok to put some more of this tape for example in the middle of the room so it’s not going up while vacuuming the surface? Great video by the way 😁👍🏻
Not normally tbh 😞 and thanks 😊😊
Use a staple hammer instead of tape perhaps?
Hi guys just found the channel, looking to do my kitchen floor soon. The thing is my kitchen floor is really old tiles, would I be able to lay straight over them ? Or do I need to smash them out and sand the floor ?
iv got quarry tiles i am going to put floor leveling cement on them so nice and flat for my lino.
@@michelgreen2532 are you planning on putting a border round the counters and walls ect for protection from the cement ?
Fantastic video (I also used yours for carpets)…but you didn’t say what to seal the edges with! Is it just clear sealant with a mastic gun!
That’s it 😊
All done thank you!!
Spooky timing, I was just measuring the kitchen for some vinyl. No excuses not to do it now 😂
🤣👏🏼👏🏼
Please make a film how to repair vinyl roll floor, Thank you indeed.
Gunna watch this while attempting to fit my own. Top lads
Well.. how’d you get on?
@taybov practice makes perfect right? its down!! Thanks lads grateful for the DIY tips 🙏

Any tips fpr 1st timer laying hall lino around stairs etc best adhesive ?
Great Video!
Thank you 😊
Brilliant guys nice one 👍
Thanks for the video👍👍
My pleasure!!
How to apply glue to the vinyl and floor. Please reply.
You would lay the vinyl out cut away the waste fold half back and glue the floor then fit that half like this video and repeat on the 2nd half it's abit of a game if you don't know what ya doing can be messy too 👍
Wonderful guys, thank you so much for your help. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Which glue should I use for vinyl
Hi can you name the products you recommend (anti-plas tape and adhesive spray). some of the products have very poor reviews
Cheers
You want it fully under washer, get the customer to shift it.
Cos when it starts leaking they can't blame you.
Had 40 years of doing this
Great video 😅
Seems a right Faff but here goes!
Holy crap. Might as well just lay vinyl planks down, way easier.
Not as cheap tho
To have them curl up. No ta been there it’s expensive renewal 6 months later
🎉
What happened to Jack?
You guys don't use Concave blades boys I think it's better than straight blades with hook blades
I’ve gave it a try few times over the years just not my cup of tea tbh but know plenty who do 😊👌🏼
Just me old age UK 🇬🇧 floorlayer
Nothing worse than a washer with hardly any space above to tip back but we always manage somehow 😅
I'd have taken the washing machine out first

He literally explained why. It's a temporary floor for 6 months. Typical response from a dirty hun.
Just pull door pins. Screws take to long.
That’s an American thing. Uk hinges don’t have pins 👍
@@silverfox8801 how about that. 🤔. Thanks
