I was the lightweight in the program and I'm 35yrs. Experience comm.even though I didn't make much to me it was worth it. To work with people with their knowledge and experience was incredible.
Great tutorial on creating a seam. I am about to lay linoleum in my camper and I have never done such things. I shouldn’t be surprised that the process is not much different than commercial graphic vinyl application. I feel much more confident in my ability to do this job correctly. Now I just need the materials and hardware. Thanks.
Found this helpful. Currently had carpet and over 10 years having pets it had to go. Was going to do plank vinyl flooring but go with sheet vinyl or linoleum for my living room. I’m no professional just a simple bus driver. So even if I screw it up I’ll still be happy. Wife and I plan on buying a new house to replace this modular home. So trying to fix and repair what I can till I can get legal matters done. This home was my deceased mother’s and was neglected
Enjoyed your demo, thank you. Any chance you could demonstrate joining seams of 2 different styles sheet vinyl? That meet in a curved/arched edge? Like, wood plank to flagstone or coppertino? Btw, what's your opinion of joining different brands of vinyl?

Good video one important thing to remember always remove the oil from your blade before cutting a seam. The oil can leave a dark line on light colored vinyl and could contaminate the seam sealer. I prefer using a trimmer blade in a utility knife to cut seams.
Also that winger seam application is for Armstrong or Congolium hard goods 6 ft , the seam roller just gets glued up and transfers it all over , I find that for the material here a stair tool run along the same areas is a better technique
caught you when studying up on LVP for a project really like your videos very interesting dont do much flooring as Im a plumber lol. good to see other guys though that care about thier Trade, workmanship , ethic!

I am installing sheet vinyl in a bedroom. The floor is not flat, so laminate planks will not work. There is a bout 1/4" over 4 feet sag in the center of the room of my 1937 house. Will the sheet vinyl conform to the shape of the sag and should I tape the vinyl to my old, painted hardwood floors or use glue?
I have everything but the seam sealer. If I did a project now but ordered the seam sealer and applied it AFTER, would that work? Or should I wait to do everything altogether?
Meant to say the cove base was my job. This job was in Riverview Florida Riverview Va center. Even with moister problems we got her done on time without a major punch list.what was on her were able to charge for.
We have a 1996 trailer, 15 x 76. We are wanting to do the floor ourselves. The product we were initially interested in was Congoleum Expansion Wagon Wheel Sheet Vinyl 15 ft. Is it better to do it with the wood grain running the length of the house, ending up with extra vinyl. Or should it run perpendicular to the length and a bunch of seams?
Help! I've gotta 36x26 room. Fiberglass back sheet vinyl going in. Goods are 13 ft 1 3/4 inches. So I'm putting the seam right down the middle. Do I lay glue and install one side first or start in the middle. One journey man and two green helpers. I was thinking do the seam first and work from the middle. 5 gallon buckets of sand holding down the vinyl once I get it where I want. Glue 6 foot down the middle and work my seam. Opinion?
Start on one side, following half of the vinyl back and glue half of one piece of vinyl down let your glue flash before laying your vinyl back in it. I watched Glue has secured properly. Then you can roll your vinyl back into the adhesive. With that done, you should be working on the side of the vinyl now that has a seam on it, leave yourself about 2 foot or 18 inches from the edge of the vinyl and do the same thing with adhesive. So the vinyl back spread your adhesive let it dry and roll it into the adhesive then you’ll get your second piece of vinyl completely matched up to your seam, cut your seam and then fold it back about 2 foot or 18 inches on each side of your seam and glue that area. Once the glue dries place one side of the seam into the adhesive, roll it down and the glue. Start on the other piece, working the same together in the middle of the room and work to one side once that’s complete on that side, come back to the center again and work to the other end. After you complete you have your same put together in rolled in the glue then you can finish gluing the remainder of the floor
How do I scrub sheet vinyl with a 175 machine? Which color pad? Some floors have a matte finish some have a glossy finish. What chemicals should I use and how do I remove scuff marks and other marks without damaging the floor?
what type glue do you recommend for sheet vinyl floor, that is *not* the "felt/paper" backed? The backing on my floor has a vinyl or rubber type feel. I've seen glue for the felt or fiberglass backed type materials, but nothing seems to be for this type vinyl.

Hi! Thank you for the very helpful video!! I have a question about the placement of the sheet vinyl seam. I know the best option would be to put the seam in a low traffic area but I was wondering how well seams hold up in medium to high traffic areas? If possible, should seams in medium/high traffic areas be avoided??
Question.. can u help me on how to lay sheet vinyl on carpet? I've watched videos but that's not the route I wanna take using poster boards on carpet then the peel & stick 8 don't think the posters aren't firm enuf to lay sheet or peel & stick.
Rip the carpet up use luan that way you can inspect your sub floor and do any repairs laying over carpet is just a terrible thing to do get rid of layers first always as a rule of thumb. Your subfloor will love you and last longer as a result. It isn't hard to pull carpet and staples you can do a 12 x 12 room in a night after a full work shift I'd say for inexperienced person. Just have a couple good pair of needle nose and a hammer rip up the carpet and use the needle nose in a rolling motion to pull the staples. If your sub floor seems good and such I would just lay it right on there if it looks rough surface with divets if it is still okay to walk on I would fill the divets that are larger than 1/4" and lay down luan and staple it . Then lay your flooring.

Yes vinyl plank definitely expands you need expansion on it just like you do with laminate, at least a quarter inch of expansion at the minimum
if you use a hard set glue and not pressure sensitive it a lot less likely to do so
I make windows like 1in cut out instead of slits looks like it would work
