@@DiscoFang Thought that too as well, im sure between Stu and family they have good connections in other trade areas to get favourable prices as opposed to prices for strangers. Really nice job done on this. Really clean. If I was to pick anything to change, it would be to put an incline on the roof windows, just so there is somewhere for the rain to run off. Other than that, looks amazing.

I'm going to school in Norway now to become a "bricklayer" and a few other things linked to that. They're teaching us to use slightly different materials then you used and some more bracing for the inside bricks and instead of insulation we leave space for the air to circulate behind the outer bricks. No disrespect intended, looks awesome anyway.
yeah more common material is PIR insulation (celotex etc) and its necesary to leave gap ,wool might be fine as is considered air permeable(however i would stick to pir)
I'm Canadian and other than tighter building codes and more insolation, our construction techniques are similar to Americans. The entire time i was watching this i was thinking that it was overkill for s single story addon and that it looks SUPER difficult to make any changes after construction, like you can't just open up one of those walls to add wiring or a window or something and looks really really expensive vs our wood construction ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yea im tired of seeing wood base house construction, no matter how pretty wooden house is, it is still a WOOD, not as strong and beautiful as concrete and bricks
@@thornwayne Why are you so against wood? lol. You must like living in a concrete prison. Concrete cracks and is heavy. Wood is cheap, strong, and easy to work with. You can put bricks as a reinforcement. Do you work as a construction worker or tree saving feminist?

Few things most builders don't do that I see.. rebar in the footings and slab and chase the insulation into the existing cavity. Good job.
