Bravo! I'm glad to see someone using the required adhesive with the particle board flooring system. Many internet builders/renovators miss this step and will end up with creaky floors. Same with the Gyrocking for the ceilings. Only relying on the nails or screws will result

We insulated where possible in the areas that had stud walls. We didn't insulate the double brick walls as it wasnt practical. Keep in mind it doesn't snow here. We are more concerned with keeping cool in summer so our houses are designed to be well ventilated with big eaves to keep the sun off our windows in the middle of the day.
Stumps? In the UK, we put a foundation strip in and build a dwarf wall. Basically 3 or 4 courses high but with big gaps between the bricks for airflow. The top course being normal with no gaps. Then theres no calculating to do, the floor joists rest on the dwarf walls. Just lay some damp proof course on the dwarf wall first before the joists. Also called sleeper walls.

Old brick made by master masons is by far more beautiful than any modern masonry product or faux masonry.
just my opinion, old red brick looks like ****
Love the little music. Makes for a peaceful nighttime watch with a cup of tea. Thank you. 💐🏆☕️🍪
Not placing insulation between the drywall and the exterior brick is a big mistake.

Well, newer houses in the USA are often less sturdy, and VERY FEW are one-level like this roomy home. Be well!

shouldn’t there be some kind of moisture barrier between the ground and that base flooring. now it will just rot from the bottom up.😮
My thought exactly…should have been accounted for. Not sure if they were conditioning that space but even more reason for a vapor barrier.
