While The Dark Side of the Moon album is an amazing amazing album, it’s much easier to listen to those songs individually. With The Wall album, each song contributes and plays so much into the story that it’s hard to separate them out once you listen to the whole thing. With that being said, I think we have a strong candidate for the next album of the month
Roger Waters is an unmatched lyrical genius. David Gilmour is an unmatched musical/choral/melody genius. Their personalities are literally oil and water/the very definition of polar opposites. And yet almost all of the undisputed masterpieces by Pink Floyd that will live on for centuries were the collaborations between the two. You wish they were able to co-exist on better terms so we could have catalogs of more transcendent epic music, but we really should just be grateful we got as much as we ultimately did before the implosion....

A few Pink Floyd suggestion: "Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2" - A classic track. They did a music video for this that is WEIRD! "Comfortably Numb" - Another great track from The Wall "Money" - Awesome bass line and changing time signatures "Us and Them" - A relaxed Floyd track "Have a Cigar" - A song about the record industry
I hope I’m not the only one who’s noticed that the guitar riff the solo is played over is the same melody the schoolchildren sing in Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2!!
They're so good, so amazing, so profound, they almost make you want to cry. The entire The Wall album is a work of pure genius. The Pulse concert from 1994 is equally incredible.

Yes, you must watch the movie "The wall" to understand the meaning of this LP. It's the story of pink (alias of Roger Waters) and his wall of isolation and alienation. You can find the full movie on UA-cam.
You should react to pink floyd the wall movie, it's amazing
Pink Floyd's The Wall is also a movie. That would be an insane reaction idea
Nah reckon he’s a nonce
@@urmarjsnan8749
What's a nonce?
The band actually didn't like how the movie turned out. But it does add perspective to the album.
hey you is not in the movie kathy guinto
"Is there anybody out there?" Bruh, hehe
That song is criminally underrated. Such a beautiful dance between the guitar and violin
No one does emotional, dramatic guitar like David Gilmour, not to mention his amazing voice. Legend
You should watch the movie “Pink Floyd The Wall” it is visual of the album!!
My thoughts exactly. If he watched the movie he would get it
"Welcome to the Machine", "US and Them", "Time" (you may have done this one previously), "Have a Cigar", "Brain Damage/Eclipse"
That should get you started on some more Pink Floyd
"This would be a badass background song for a movie."
Um, Alex...
its not in the movie
@@daveelson213 Yep, this and The Show Must Go On were cut. But, I figured Alex has the Wall in his thumbnail so...
It is in the soundtrack of the movie and it’s called a the wall you looking at it right now🤦🏽♂️About a kid name Pink Floyd who lost his father in World War II
You must watch the movie so you can react to the whole thing🙌🙌🤓🤔
CLAM BAKE!
"This would be badass for a movie."
Word?
😂😂🤯
It is
@@markgibbs8871 that went completely over your head 🤦🏻♂️
its not in the movie
It IS badass in a movie.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is another Floyd masterpiece
I'm glad you have dank enough headphones to do this music justice, a lot of youtube reactors have dogshit audio setups and it makes my heart hurt haha
Oh my God, please do this album in one sitting, I would love you forever!! 🤣
Your reaction is perfect, and it was so great to see the emotions flowing through you. This album is one of my favourites of all time, second only to Dark Side of the Moon (also by Pink Floyd btw). Good stuff my dude!
Now that you heard this song, you should get the Movie "The Wall" and watch it with your girl. Everything will make much more sense if you don't feel like laying down and listen to the album.
@1:33
It sounds like me back when I was 16 and this album was brand new.... only difference is, that the bubbling sound was a bong not a bottle of water.
The wall is absolutely amazing. That's one of those albums that every time I buy it, somebody steals it from me. My favorite song from the album is The trial. And outside the wall. They really tell you a lot.
Also if you haven't yet, listen to high hopes by Pink Floyd. It's my absolute favorite song by them and it's amazing
"You little shit your in it now I hope they throw away the key". Great tune . Who else could put " Incontrovertible and deficate in the same song.👍
My favourite line in any song '...and the worm ate into his brain.' So creepy.
If you want to have an actual existential crisis while listening to a song, there's only one I can recommend to you:
*Pink Floyd - Time*
But beware, your life might not be the same after hearing these lyrics
"No... is that it?"
Same my guy. Same.
"Hey You" on the album is a song that sets the listener up for "Comfortably Numb" a few songs later and honestly, they may be the best two songs on the album which is saying a lot because there are so many really good songs on The Wall.
Goodbye Blue Sky is a really good one too. Gilmore does a great job creating colors with his voice and guitar.
They are my favorite two songs of Pink Floyd period, not just on this album.
This is my childhood, as a 15 year old, crazy mad learning guitar smoking week and being introduced to Floyd, and Led Zep, great time, Pink Floyd is still just as awesome as it was the first time.
I love watching you guys getting the same kick out of them all these years later.
Thankyou.
Alex, dude... You need to listen to the full album. It's a trip and experience like no other. I promise you, you will not regret it. The music truly takes you on a journey. The Wall, Animals, The Dark Side Of The Moon and Wish You Were Here are all some of the most beautiful and real music ever.
Dude...you just helped me on a level that you don't even know. When you talked about not letting a shitty 10 seconds ruin your day was just... thank you. I have had chronic anger issues and have yet to make since of it. I'm 32 and have been through "it". But I took what you said to heart, especially with everything going on right now in the world and in my personal life. Thank you for your enthusiasm and apparantly your life lessons. PS, belated congratulations on the bar.
It's a great way of thinking. Pause and carry on.
"Wizards fornicating with wind chimes" Probably the most hilarious analogy for Pink Floyd I've ever heard. That said, here's some more songs:
Brain Damage
Eclipse
Another Brick In The Wall (All 3 Parts)
Welcome To The Machine
Money
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Gilmore's solo on "Comfortably Numb" is essential listening for guitar players.
Pink Floyd plug their instruments into their souls and touch the heavens
Pink Floyd, The Wall, is a movie, a concert, and so much more..
This is from the movie The Wall that came out after the album in 1979.
Thats not true. This is from the album The Wall. The movie was based almost entirely on the album
But what do you write?
Read Wikipedia:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_Floyd_-_The_Wall#Soundtrack
>
You understand what nonsense you wrote ...
... and, of course, look for a way to see this film at least once !!!
@@Enrico.Sbardolini Exactly its saying it was on the album not in the film. Then how is this from the film not the album. Duh. The recording he listened to is from the album the Wall. Thanks for proving my point
Listen to the album then talk to me.
this song IS NOT in the movie
"This would make a perfect background for a movie". Dude, IT IS, go watch "The Wall" your brain is gonna be smeared on every single wall there is to be found
This song isn't in the movie, unfortunately.
@@movietimeateds69 I know it was erased and you can only find it in the rough cut and what not, but still, it is a masterpiece that should be appreciated by new ears so it can remain eternal :) IMO
You're absolutely right. Pink Floyd full albums are the best way to listen to this group. Their albums are full journeys from start to finish.
Do ECHOES!
Do SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND!
Do THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY!
Yes Echoes!!!! ECHOES!!!!! ECHOES!!!!
The Gunner's Dream
And Marooned !!!
@Doug Ballance
Echoesssss!!!
Do the whole album, by yourself late at night when its quiet and you wont get disturbed, then watch the movie the same way.
Alex, Comfortably Numb is a masterpiece! One of the best guitar solos of all time...
Not only you have to listen to the album; you have to see the movie to fully understand the message. It’s mind blowing.
As fireworks are for your eyes, Pink Floyd is for you ears
Want a suggestion from an old guy? Check out One of These Days and that sick bass intro! 😝 Or go with the long list of hits, like Great Gig in the Sky, Another Brick in the Wall... You simply can't choose a bad song with Pink Floyd! 😉
Please react to Thousand Foot Krutch
Here some awesome songs by them:
- Rawkfist
- Down
- Fly on the wall
- Learn to breathe
- Born this way
- Absolute
- Adrenaline
- Running with Giants
- Give up the ghost
- Let the sparks fly
- The part that hurts the most (Is me)
React to The Doors "When The Music`s Over" & "The End" Please.
New listener from Scotland. Pink Floyd and Queen got me through my teens, I'm almost 42 now, and still love this music. Enjoy your musical journey :)
02:01-02:10 Always a treat to see another soul immediately hit by the lyrical depth that PF continuously provides...
You must listen to "Comfortably Numb live at Pulse"
i know you listen to this song before but you must listen to this live to understand how great this band are.
PLEASE!!!!
A few Pink Floyd suggestion:
"Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2" - A classic track. They did a music video for this that is WEIRD!
"Comfortably Numb" - Another great track from The Wall
"Money" - Awesome bass line and changing time signatures
"Us and Them" - A relaxed Floyd track
"Have a Cigar" - A song about the record industry
Nah reckon he’s a nonce
Another Brick in the Wall's music video is just from The Wall movie.
Dead By April - Warrior
Amaranthe - GG6
Backyard Babies - Minus Celsius
I hope I’m not the only one who’s noticed that the guitar riff the solo is played over is the same melody the schoolchildren sing in Another Brick in the Wall pt. 2!!
They're so good, so amazing, so profound, they almost make you want to cry. The entire The Wall album is a work of pure genius. The Pulse concert from 1994 is equally incredible.
"Together we stand; Divided we fall."
Pink Floyd - "Money" is pretty money, too!
David Gilmore is a BEAST on the guitar!
@@martinignacio8245 I misspelled his name. It's supposed to be "Gilmour", but he's the guitarist of Pink Floyd, as indicated by my original comment.
You should react to their entire albums The Wall or The Dark Side of the Moon
The best pink floyd EVER is LEARNING TO FLY..
Not the best from a critical standpoint in my own personal opinion, but it's definitely a highly-rated personal favourite! High Hopes is up there too :)
It's a great pop song.
I get chills everytime I listen to their music thank you young man
Watch the Wizard of Oz and when the Lion roars the second time start playing Dark Side of the Moon
I absolutely love pink floyd! Thanks for checking them out! Please do an album reaction of the Wall in its entirety!
Gojira- l'enfant sauvage or the gift of guilt.
Always more Gojira would be awesome! (or more Jinjer btw ^^)
The whole section from Mouth of Kala to Pain is a Master is crazy (whole album is tbh)!
That was exactly my reaction when i listened to PF the first time, i was like "OMG" "OMG" "OMG"
David Gilmour is a wizard. You nailed it.
''Together we stand. Divided we fall'' This line
Just react to the whole discography, there is no other band that can write albums like they do
This kid!
That was me in the 70s.
Yep. This boy was me in the 90's
Hey Alex you should do a full album reaction to Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon it’s soooo good
Pink Floyd is the best awesome band to take you on a wizard of Oz trip from reality
Listen to the Whole Wall Album, BUT HEY!! hear the Live version (Is There Anybody Out There 1980-81)
it has the best versions of each songs (Specially Hey You, Another Brick 2 and Run Like Hell)
it also has songs that arent in the album (The Last Few Bricks and What Shall We Do Now)
listen to it if you want to hear the full experience
Here is the Album:
