I just had the 7 year and what I’m finding out is 7 yrs is my bourbon sweet spot. Anything older it’s pushing the wood oak note that I’m not too big a fan of.

Stumbled upon KC 10yr Rye at Total Wine when I stopped in a few weeks ago to get a jar of cocktail cherries and snatched it right up since I had never seen that old of an age statement on their rye. I liked it better than both of you, but I agree that it wasn't as good as it could have been given how much I generally enjoy Beam products.

I enjoyed it more the first time we had it. I got red apple skin notes on the finish that I really enjoyed the first time, but it was absent during this review. Maybe it will come back the next time I have it and I'll like it more. Cheers.

I'm a fan of Knob creek and a big rye drinker so I will pick up the 10 year but I understand your opinion on these. And hopefully you do better and yes it's a BBQ click and it’s the same everywhere across the country. Enjoy!! Yeah tire fires can be tricky water is the preferred method to fight them. Dry chemical extinguishers aren't great unless you have a big one over 60 pounder.

Wow never had the 7 but in a blind knob 10 beat out a wilderness trail rye SIB, Hughes Belle of Bedford Sib, and Bulliet 12 year. I loved it. Not as good as Old Overholt 10 cask but I was surprised how good it was to me.

I give directions based on N-S-E-W because I trip over right-left. It's a thing. I think the Knob Creeks crush in cocktails! I pick other labels for sippers. I am super happy with the 7 year rye and seeing that I recently found a 750 ml on sale for $20, makes me even happier. Cheers! 🥃

Mary had a good idea. When you have a planned review, perhaps have a simple cocktail using it at the end. Old Fashioned or Manhattan or even a highball.
Keep up the great work and good luck in Temecula

Genetic and environmental! It's amazing what kids pick up! My aunt could not tell her left from right and when I'd say, "Aunty take a right" when she was driving, yikes, we sometimes went left!! Lol! She would have to look at her right hand and left and take in which way to go. So interesting! I'm such a nerd - info geek!! This is a super fabulous video! I like the Knob Creek on the right, on Mary Bridgette's side! In addition to being a peat head with scotch I love a good spicy rye!! Pine, mint, herbal, ginger, pepper and proofy!! Oh and dill!! Hey Mary Bridgette you hair looks fabulous! Did you have it done?! Love the look! I like the Knob Creek on the right!! I typically prefer a 95/5 or 100% rye with a higher ABV but this one is a beauty, even at just 51 rye or so! Yes I did get the Maple Mary Bridgette on the left hand Knob Creek! I am all in for the 7 year old!!! Cheers you too! Fabulous video! I'm all in for spicey dill Love you guys!! 🙂Hey I love the idea of a drinking game!! Every Time We Say Cocktail!! Mary Bridgette and I are choosing the same one!! I didn't use water in either expression. 3.3 on the 7! 3.0 on the 10!! 🙂I agree - they are what I would reach for!! Wow 400 bottes!! There is something to be said for delicious whisky! Lol! Hey don't worry about the Temecula competition! You will ace Riverside! Oh do I wish I could be there to cheer you all on - and have brisket and burnt ends!! I love them - with a peated scotch. I admire you all for taking part and competing!! Oh no to the blown tire. Fire? What the heck? Oh my goodness - what a trip. My father-in-law was a fire captain when he retired - we always gave well working fire extinguishers for gifts!! I love you stories!! I am relieved you all survived the weekend!! Lol!! 🙂You placed in brisket!!! Awww sounds like a lovely Father's Day for John!!! Love Bardstown and I see there is a new Barrel Mizunara cask!! Yay!! Barrel is a huge fave!! 🙂

I am not a big rye fan, but we have a few rye videos coming out over the next few weeks and I am still trying to get her to do the Lagavulin video July 8th. Fingers crossed. I have way too many bottles. That is why I started to do the giveaway. Time to thin out the collection and STOP buying. Riverside here we come! Cheers!

You have a very sophisticated palette it sounds like. We are on opposite ends of the spectrum! But that's why bottlers make things that taste different, right?
Thanks for the hair compliment. Nothing different other than I didn't straighten it. I have naturally curly hair, and monsoon season is among us in Phoenix. The humidity has shot up, so there is no sense in straightening my hair if it's just going to curl as soon as I walk outside anyway!
Giving a fire extinguisher as a gift is a good idea. It's not something people typically buy for themselves. Although, they expire after a certain amount of time. We learned that from the fire inspector at the barbecue competition. I guess ours was last years model! 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers!

So true! It's these types of situations that create long lasting memories. I'm sure my daughter will tell this story to her children, if she decides she wants to have any, as one of her childhood Father's Day memories. It wasn't funny when it happened, but I'm sure it will be at some point when it gets retold. It will become a fish story!
