Thanks for the review. The paddle shifter are primarily for snow and ice. You can't beat them for that. They create incredible back pressure. You only use your brakes when you have slowed to 1mph with the shifters. Brakes cause massive slipping on snow and ice. On much of the snow/ice brakes are totally useless. Since the CVT has no actual gears the paddles can also be handy on long or winding mountain roads allowing you to pick and stay at a given RPM range.

The most underrated SUV on the market. When you take reliability (per consumers report) and safety (IIHS crash test scores) into consideration, I can't believe people purchase vehicles like the Jeep Grand Cherokee over this.

Great review. It is nice to see a good review with a premium instead of a 50k Touring. We were very happy with our 19 Outback and have a 23 Ascent Premium 7 passenger in Cosmo blue on order. Take care sir.

Buyers complain about high fuel consumption. Significantly more than those declared by Subaru.
