Never understood the hate to having them on the Infotainment system; it looks much neater that way. And to be honest, just set them once; to whatever is comfy for you. Then you don't touch them again. Mine is set to 21C, rarely if ever change it and do so when I'm at the lights, you still need to look at physical buttons to see what your'e setting it to. Why do you have such a Problem with just writing Leather? What do you think you accomplish by writing "dead animal skin"? Do you belive some people dont know what leather is?
Thank you very much for your interest in this topic. I also bought cars with animal skin leather seats before I did my research and got to know the industry. The most important thing is: With today's modern materials, you have nothing to lose, just to gain. You achieve the same kind of luxury and comfort or even better while having the same or better durability with less impact on humans, animals and the environment. You can use fabric/cloth, microfibre or leatherette. The classic approach is using oil/plastic as source material. Overall, a vehicle contains about 300 kg plastic. A car seat needs about 5 kg plastic. So the overall plastic share for the seats is very low and it is at this moment the most efficient way to produce a car seat. A couple of litres of fuel equals a car seat basically. So if you want to save oil/plastic, rather look at consumption for energy, fuel and heating and to other car parts than the seat. Note that animal skin leather also always contains a plastic coating for durability. However, long-term we should of course find raw oil alternatives. So going further, seats can be made from recyclables (e.g. from PET-bottles or old fishing nets) or even increased share of plant-based materials (like pine oil, canola oil or start-up materials like Pinatex from pineapple leaves or Desertex from cactus fibre or the mixed-plant-based Mirum, so be seen at ua-cam.com/video/S1aNZeoatmE/v-deo.html). On a calculation base, by ditching animal skin leather from car interiors, the amount of emissions (CO2e) is reduced by 85 (!) % (www.press.bmwgroup.com/africa-dom-easteurope/article/detail/T0403389EN/on-the-market-from-2023:-bmw-and-mini-models-with-vegan-interiors?language=en) - and that is a very conservative calculation. So it is at this moment the most important thing you can do to make car interiors more sustainable. A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html And the Kia EV9 with plant-based oil share: ua-cam.com/video/6vXePQi_MAk/v-deo.html New leatherette materials can be superior in every aspect, even for cleaning: ua-cam.com/video/u94YXJ72UTA/v-deo.html More and more natural materials are rising: ua-cam.com/video/nRSsXEnwHDo/v-deo.html Also check out what the animal skin leather industry tried to with our channel: ua-cam.com/video/nP_CvLlaFlI/v-deo.html For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally. Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest: www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter. However even if meat is the "first" misuse case, the hide remains a profitable body part. That means: If manufacturers put animal leather in a car and you demand it as a customer, you give your money to an industry that earns money by oppressing humans, animals and harms the environment, you make them more profitable. Alternatively, you could support industries with your wallet which try to improve the sustainability of materials. Also, if you turn the argument around to "meat is the waste of the leather industry" you realize that it doesn't make sense (and is ethically doubtful) to discuss the primary use of individual body parts of mammals. Mind experiment: You are getting slain down on the street; would it matter to you if it was for your smartphone or for your purse? Remember that animal skin leather is no different to fur, fur is just leather where the hair is still on. And fur is widely not accepted for clothing anymore, and of course not for cars. We cannot change what we have bought in the past, but with more information and compassion we can change how we decide in the future. For a great insight into sustainability in the automotive industry, you can also check out our extensive documentary: ua-cam.com/video/-8gNXlRGngA/v-deo.html
@@autogefuehl that is your professional opinion that I can value, however only point of feedback; leather is leather, vegan leather is also dine, but I still prefer leather. Animal skin is the only point I do not like about your videos, the rest is 10/10 awesome.
The interior definitely looks beautiful and for those who lease and change cars every 3 years, will defo feel special. I do wonder how durable these cloth dashboards will hold up over time but overall, stunning.
Nothing special about a car with a fabric dash other than it is used by virtually no manufacturer (for good reason). I’m sure it would be a very cheap lease.
Not sure how durable it needs to be. Apart from an occasional light dusting, I don't think anything or anyone has ever touched the dashboard of any car I've ever owned.
I am driving a 2021 280 superb sedan and it is one of the most comfortable car I have ever driven. It is fast without being sporty. It is a sleeper. I considered a 5 series before, however in terms of space that is available, superb is far superior for roughly the same external dimensions. And the ride it is just superb, build quality very good, nice sound isolation, half price to buy, cheaper to maintain. I felt in love with it from the first test drive. Just get a powerful one with dcc.
@@vityczits not. Ive sat in both cars plenty of times. Bmw is a class above. Skoda doesnt touch BMW's Air Suspension. That doesnt mean the Skoda is bad! I really like the Car and do think its one of the best price/performance offerings out there. But saying that its ABOVE a 5 series or E-Class in pretty much anything is cope.
Fun fact, I saw an i5 touring coming up behind me on the motorway today and until it passed me I thought it was a Skoda. I don't know if that means that Skoda has caught up or BMW has regressed, but I genuinely like what Skoda has been doing recently, they make fantastic cars
@@gdgrim The Skoda designer left to work for BMW, then Rolls Royce and now to MG. Current designer is there since 2017 and comes from within VW. But I generally agree about the similarity between the two brands. Skoda does look more like BMW than the most recent BMW do!
Both the updated Octavia and Superb are much nicer, upscale, and modern cars. Way better than VW and other Germans, reasonable pricing, and superbly practical. Also love them for keeping estates alive. There aren't many affordable estates anymore.
its 38k euro base model 4.9 meter long car with 10 inch infotainment. its cheap and only when you understand this car on test is what, 50k euro that this is bullshit from Volkswagen again.
I would be very interested in Superb vs Kodiaq. Two main contenders for me as a next family car. Engine choices are better in Superb, but there's way more space in a kodiaq. Configurator tells me that Superb is more luxurious.
The worst thing is that BMW have nobody but themselves to blame for their awful looking grilles. My understanding is they're doing it to appeal to the Chinese market, to appeal to a different aesthetic to EU buyers, mostly because BMW have about as much of the EU market as they'll ever have, so no growth potential here. It is kind of funny if that's true because rear seat legroom used to be, and probably still is a huge thing for Chinese cars, which is why Skoda took a Passat 20+ years ago, added a few cm to the wheelbase to make more rear legroom and sent it to China as the first Superb Limousine and discovered plenty of other people liked the idea too. Most cars can't comfortably seat actual adults in the rear at all.
Comparing to old one, i saw that new gen does not have AC big box and AC glove box. This is really good feature in hot summer days for cooling bottles of water for an example.
Hi Thomas I love watching your reviews. I can't even buy these cars but I love your accent, voice and calmness. You also always properly show the whole car. Very professional yet comfortable videos thanks
Great to see another excellent review from Thomas and friend Leah. I currently have a 2021 Superb and have already done over 100,000 miles on it. The first 2024 RHD demonstrator has arrived in the UK and I will be doing a much-anticipated test drive next week. I have been looking at alternatives to the Superb, including the BMW 5 Series, but it is almost impossible to find any other car with all the features of the Superb without paying £30k more. Although I have had significant software problems with my current Superb, they are all resolved now. I see this new one has some software snags too! I will be really interested to see if the 2024 model is good enough to tempt me to buy another one. My main disappointment with the new one is the arm rest that seems so much less comfortable and user-friendly than the current one. Other than that it look a winner.
I recently drove the new Superb and Passat back to back within a 1-day gap. Both had 1.5 MHEV TSI engines. Difficult choice indeed, they are so similar. But driving-wise the Passat was slightly better. It was quieter ( there was less engine noise in the cabin ) and the engine-transmission calibration/programming was smoother. Superb felt like it's lacking power in some low-speed scenarios. The storage lid on the left side of the cargo area had a better feel in the Passat and the spare tyre/tyre kit lid had a proper handle in the Passat instead of a small strap. In the end of the day I would pick the Superb personally because of the overall design and interior. Superb is slightly more practical because of the physical buttons. Oh, and the Passat also has an umbrella hole in the driver's door but it is empty of course.
it looks yes. drive both back 2 back and there is no comparison, the bmw is clearly a 2x better car. much better sound insulation in the bmw, dynamics is miles better, engines a bit better, gearbox miles better (ZF 8 speed torque converter), ambient lighting is in another league, same with headlights, so on and so forth.
The design is... Superb. 😅 My only reservations with those fabric type dash is how well does it hold up to dirt and grime? Surely this will make it hard to clean stains off?
@@Sp1k3eThe new 5-Series has a really cheap interior for a BMW and also has a terrible design. I’ve been in the new generation 5-Series as well as the new B9 Passat and honestly the Passat had a nicer interior in some areas. Now the previous generation 5-Series on the other hand is way better than both of those cars.
@@Swiss4.2 I have experience only with facelift previous gen 5er, but new looked ok so far. And I don't really pay attention to most comments about styling etc. which for the last 5+ years are completely of (haha M3 ugly and now its the best selling M ever, same with X5, X7 haha insane grill - but the cars are perfect and I see tons of them on road). Quality wise EU brands probably peaked around 2020 (from 00 a 10s trash plastic interiors) and maybe the quality is coming down again, idk.
Apart from how informative your videos are... I am so impressed by the quality of the picture.. I set it to 4K and it's clearer than having the car infront of me😍
So, I thought would add a further comment. I have today been to test drive the new Skoda Superb 2024 with a view to buying one at the end of the test. It is a beautiful car and the electronics are incredible. Of particular note are the amazing travel assist functions which are simply outstanding - incredible road holding. I have already had 2 Superbs and am very familiar with them. My current one, which already has over 100,000 miles on it is only 3 years old and has the virtual cockpit and all the functions available at the time. Despite initial software problems, it is now a great car. So, what about the new one? Well, it is bad news frankly. I did not find the 'smart dials' that smart compared to the perfectly easy push buttons and dials I currently have. I did, however, like the map zoom function available on the centre dial. There are two things that are a massive downgrades from the previous model and are, for me, show stoppers. The minor one is the centre arm rest, which used to be very soft and very adjustable. The new one is very hard, uncomfortable and only opens along the centre - it is therefore not adjustable, which is very frustrating. It would not have stopped me buying the car ultimately, but it is way worse than what it replaces - why on earth would Skoda do that? However, the really big deal are the seats. I am 6 feet 2 in tall (around 188cm) and weigh over 110kg - yes, yes, I need to lose weight! Anyway, the original seats were such a selling point to me as they were just so wide and comfy - absolutely wonderful. The new ones are full of ventilation blah, electrics, massages etc. They are, however, 3-4cm thinner at the steering wheel end than the old ones. They therefore feel very uncomfortable and are jamming your bum in place rather than just letting you sit there comfortably. Try as I might, I could not get comfortable and have, extremely reluctantly, walked away. I have waited over a year for this and am absolutely dismayed that Skoda could have been so stupid as to put such terrible and uncomfortable seats in their top-of-the-range car when they had such good ones already. I turned up today to buy one, but have ended up walking away very disappointed. I have no idea now what car to buy next, but it will almost certainly not be another Skoda. Gutted.
Great review Thomas! Credit to VW for what they’ve achieved with the Skoda brand. The superb is a fine machine and I love their attention to detail. Very practical and smart.
People that will buy Passat instead of Superb will do it mostly because they think VW badge is worth more, and they are ignoring they are basically the same cars.. for me, Skoda models have better design and I prefer having more manual constrols (not have everything in the digital display)
If it weighs under 2 tonnes and isn't actively designed to kill pedestrians it's not welcome in the US 😞. A UA-cam channel called 'Not Just Bikes' made a fantastic video a while back charting the history of the SUV and the massive damage it has done, especially in the US where most manufacturers aren't even making cars now. Pedestrian deaths are back to 1970s levels, as are fuel economy figures, because when US car makers failed to lobby fuel economy laws away, they moved to making 'light trucks' and marketing them to people who actually wanted cars, as the economy rules didn't apply to trucks.
i just bought one after i've watch your video,i was having an octavia 2018 and i was looking for the new one but i think for me and my familly is better a superb,my spec 2.0l tdi 150ps,nothing fancy but it get the job done.Thank you for yor review
The low drag and hatch might actually win me over. How much would you save in fuel annually as an average driver? I'd mostly be throwing in bikes and that could be not much worse with the hatch?
The best thing about Skodas is that the hatch is the same length as the estate, so you have nearly 2 m of space behind the front seats with the back seats folded down. If you carry the bike fully assembled (Which is not a problem in the estate), you might find the handlebars get in the way of closing the hatch because of the lower height there. As for fuel, if there's a difference of 0.1 l/100km between them, you'll have to drive 1000 km to save a liter of fuel. My record (In a Mk2 Superb estate is 3 bikes, 3 people and a full set of camping gear for everyone, all in the car without anyone being squeezed). The bikes did have wheels removed though.
The best thing about the Skoda's is they have working indicators. Seems every BMW has this feature disabled from the factory and has to be enabled after warranty expires.
Lovely motor vehicle and 'Superb' to drive too. Innovative heated windscreen!amongst plenty others I would personally like to see heated front door windows added to all vehicles, this being a visual safety feature to be incorporated for demisting/defrosting. Who would figure this is a safety aspect ?? Iain 😉
The limousine for sure, much more elegante and more as enough space in the booth. But I already have the suberb3 limousine, the exterior looks like a big facelift. The interior is completly different.
First time i heard about the option to pay extra for a rear wiper. Lovely car, one of my current favourite cars :) Thank you for the video^^ And if this would come with an electric version, like a ID.7 counterpart, this would be amazing :D
Why won’t vw let them make a superb vRS estate with a 2.5 tsi they let cupra use it why can’t Skoda use it and make one of the greatest modern practical sports cars
Very informative video. On search for a new company car, and regarding space, vw passat and skoda superb are really good competitors/alternatives for the likes more expensive merc e class , bmw 5, audi a5 etc. You mention the user interface being something different between vw and superb. But I guess, it would be much worth it to just compare the two in a different video perhaps? More fun would be to compare drive from the expensive mercs and bmw ;)
This, in estate form, will be high on my list if the 13 year old Superb estate I already have ever dies (And it's showing no sign of it yet). The only obvious downgrade on this from the Mk2 is the rear seat armrest, where depending on your height you'll be dinging your elbow off the cup holders when the car hits unexpected bumps. The Mk2 cup holders pop out of the front of the arm rest, so it can still be used as an armrest while holding drinks. It also has a storage compartment I've never used... The front arm rest isn't height and reach adjustable either come to think of it, and that would probably annoy me more.
Another great review Thomas. I actually own a 2017 Superb (sedan / liftback / hatch) and I have the Sunroof fitted on mine. From all the pictures / reviews I see of the new Superb I do not see any Sunroofs. Is it an option or has it been deleted on the Sedan? As I have seen it on the new Combi / Wagon.
Looks better, also more user friendly interior; but build quality is still not quite as good. VW Group for some reason always give the Skoda models slightly worse suspension tuning and soundproofing so the Passat is still nicer to drive.
Maybe Skoda actually listen to their customers rather than trying to tell their customers what they should want. There's no way those stupid capacitative buttons on the steering wheel would have ever passed real world customer feedback. And any car without simple things like a volume control knob in plain view on the radio will lose fans too.
Quality cars. We have the previous model, Petrol Sportline hatch. Second Superb we have owned and they just get better. LED Matrix lights are amazing. Skoda UK dealers are good too. We had the budget for an Audi but the dealers are awful.
The key question was asked at the beginning which is why you might need a BMW M5 when you can have one of these. The answer can only be the BMW badge is too important for your self esteem. Before too much longer people are going to judge that premium car emperor is out of clothes.
BMW M5 exists for purposes which no Skoda Superb will ever be able to fill. 😅 The regular BMW 5 Series on the other hand, that is a much nicer car to be in, but it's your decision if it's worth it to spend the extra money.
@@sbstn110 Quite right to correct me about the M5. The 5 series is what I was trying and failing to comment on. My point is I wonder what you get for the extra money apart from the badge. There are still some things which the 5 series has which the Skoda does not but it is becoming harder to detect, and harder to detect whether it is worth the extra money. The wider point is whether the premium brands can flee to ever more expensive luxury and still sell cars before we see through the illusion. I think we are close to the point where we will stop buying because we do not need it.
@@PaulMeier-cu3ds it is harder now to justify the extra money compared to previous generations, but there are drivers who only want RWD or a rear biased 4WD. Also, there's the option for larger engines, better gearbox, better sound insulation, better materials, better technology, better quality overall. Truth is you'd be paying 50-100% more for 10-50% improvements in most aspects, but there's the option available if you want it. It's understandable if the Superb meets all the needs, but it's also understandable if you want something more.
Regarding TDI and TSI 150 hp engines, which one is better in overtaking. I see that from 0-100 they give equal times, but what about acceleration from 60 or 80 km?
I really like recent Škodas. In my first gen Peugeot 508 1,6 HDI it is possible more then 1500km with one fuel tank. I don't know how I would get used to lower autonomy then that :)
That's impressive range, I've seen over 1100 km on my 13 year old Superb if it's getting steady intercity use and I could get plenty more if I hypermiled it, but I took a driving holiday across a chunk of Ireland, Spain and France earlier this year and filled up twice in 2000 km (And it was most of a month later before I filled it again). The Greenline Superbs are significantly better on fuel, but their lower ride height is an issue on bigger speed bumps especially when loaded. Also I occasionally need to overtake slow traffic, and the 200+ bhp engine map I'm running makes this a pleasure - having nearly twice the power of the Greenline makes a huge difference and the best thing about diesels is that when it doesn't need the power it doesn't burn the fuel.
I am a bit gealos about the headrest horns function. I have a Superb 3 Facelift configured without leather (because I personally do not like it for some reason) and for my generation, only the leather interior has this option. Would the headrest from the 4th gen be compatible with the interior of the 3rd gen facelift? 🤔

A good example for high-end luxury with ventilated animal free seats is the BMW X7 with Sensafin: ua-cam.com/video/1pRNkW9nrrw/v-deo.html

For seeing how the animals are being treated and transported in the global leather industry, watch this footage: ua-cam.com/video/tkjCAmq1_8E/v-deo.html
Note that the footage is genuine and was recorded by a highly decorated investigative journalist in Germany I know myself personally.
Also a group of researchers and German journalists from public media could recent directly trace the connection between car animal leather production and illegal burning down Amazon rain forest:
www.daserste.de/information/reportage-dokumentation/ard-story/videos/illegales-leder-video-100.html
In a high animal skin grade, the animals are specifically raised for this matter.

The interior definitely looks beautiful and for those who lease and change cars every 3 years, will defo feel special. I do wonder how durable these cloth dashboards will hold up over time but overall, stunning.
Yeah the cloth will get dirty very quick
cloth dashboards for sure will be more durable than ecoleather...
@@TheHammondPLThe cloth looks really cheap. It will definitely not be more durable than vinyl.
Yeah just don't tell me the superb is more comfortable than a 5 series luxury

@@kudomion.No its not. Refer to my comment one above.
Fun fact, I saw an i5 touring coming up behind me on the motorway today and until it passed me I thought it was a Skoda. I don't know if that means that Skoda has caught up or BMW has regressed, but I genuinely like what Skoda has been doing recently, they make fantastic cars
perhaps bmw has caught up
The main designer at Skoda is the old designer from BMW. So you are correct, Skodas actually look like the old generation of BMWs (to some degree).

At 40 k its affordable?

I would be very interested in Superb vs Kodiaq. Two main contenders for me as a next family car. Engine choices are better in Superb, but there's way more space in a kodiaq. Configurator tells me that Superb is more luxurious.
interior is much cheaper than in old version, go take a look in RL you will be dissapointed at how bad it is.
It’s a sad time to live in when Skoda do the kidney grill better than BMW
The designers at Skoda thinking of these genius practicality functions must get a raise! The sleeping horns are such a great idea!
Looks better than VW.
Protip: you can buy the Skoda trunk splitters and use them in other cars 👌 I have 6 of them and use them to keep stuff organized
That's illegal
Comparing to old one, i saw that new gen does not have AC big box and AC glove box. This is really good feature in hot summer days for cooling bottles of water for an example.
Hi Thomas I love watching your reviews. I can't even buy these cars but I love your accent, voice and calmness. You also always properly show the whole car.
Very professional yet comfortable videos thanks
0-100 in 5.6s is excellent 👌
Thanks for the feedback!
New Superb looks more premium to me than the new 5-series. Beautiful car!
it looks yes.
drive both back 2 back and there is no comparison, the bmw is clearly a 2x better car.
much better sound insulation in the bmw, dynamics is miles better, engines a bit better, gearbox miles better (ZF 8 speed torque converter), ambient lighting is in another league, same with headlights, so on and so forth.
The design is... Superb. 😅
My only reservations with those fabric type dash is how well does it hold up to dirt and grime? Surely this will make it hard to clean stains off?
the Passat, superb, golf, Octavia. ...facelifts, to they get the alltrack/scout version?
From a personal experience I can tell there's 0 issues with maintain that fabric.
Such a good car! Mich better than the new 5 series or e models
Ze best!
Plz the more u talk, the more I see how much u dont understand about cars.
Compare 5 series to this 😂
sure, passat aka superb compared to 5 series? Thats like kids car compared to actual car. No matter of design or styling
Just waiting for the “BLUP” during the 0-100 test!
All car manufacturers should add Thomas’ “BLUP” as a speed limit warning chime in the EU :)

Gutted.
I have to say Lia is fantastic and a real natural on this channel❤
Good work😎

Love the fabric interior!
Although I am 20 years old... the practicality and looks of Skoda superb...excites me😂
That’s a seriously attractive Skoda, and vastly better looking than any of the bloated Transformer pigs that BMW currently offers!
Can’t wait to see the sportline models 😊
Smart sort area in the trunk, mid button is the really nice design I haven't saw this before.
Hi, Thomas i have to admit the people at skoda have done a good job the new skoda superb!

The three knobs on the front, such a rustic look and feel to them ! Very nice.
Superb needs to meet ID7 and have a baby.
Seriously, Superb = Passat with much nicer exterior and interior and better UI. Very likeable car.

Wow! This is much smarter than anything VW is doing lately. Really well done interior, wish they sold it here in Brasil!
OK, this time I am going to get an L&K 2.0 TSI 265hp. Love it.
Wish Skoda vehicles were available in the USA. They seem like great value for the money, and they are quite stylish.
And reliable my 2016 octavia 2.0 tdi with 270000 km with zero problems
If it weighs under 2 tonnes and isn't actively designed to kill pedestrians it's not welcome in the US 😞. A UA-cam channel called 'Not Just Bikes' made a fantastic video a while back charting the history of the SUV and the massive damage it has done, especially in the US where most manufacturers aren't even making cars now. Pedestrian deaths are back to 1970s levels, as are fuel economy figures, because when US car makers failed to lobby fuel economy laws away, they moved to making 'light trucks' and marketing them to people who actually wanted cars, as the economy rules didn't apply to trucks.
lol "back to the trunk... back to the future" .. such an unnecessary thing to say but I laughed :D

great review as always Thomas, looking forward to the vRS Octavia review when they launch it later in the year.
You were recording the video among other places in Carlsbad, am I right? 😉
Great looking car. Nice details. Like it !
The best thing about the Skoda's is they have working indicators.
Seems every BMW has this feature disabled from the factory and has to be enabled after warranty expires.
Skoda have the best and elegant choices!
How would you compare the driving comfort and soundproofing between the new Superb and new Kodiaq?
Lovely motor vehicle and 'Superb' to drive too. Innovative heated windscreen!amongst plenty others I would personally like to see heated front door windows added to all vehicles, this being a visual safety feature to be incorporated for demisting/defrosting. Who would figure this is a safety aspect ?? Iain 😉
The limousine for sure, much more elegante and more as enough space in the booth. But I already have the suberb3 limousine, the exterior looks like a big facelift. The interior is completly different.
First time i heard about the option to pay extra for a rear wiper. Lovely car, one of my current favourite cars :) Thank you for the video^^ And if this would come with an electric version, like a ID.7 counterpart, this would be amazing :D
cheers!
Great video
Superb in hatch body?! YES!
👍👍
Impressive engineering!
Indeed so far only on the Combi!
Thanks m8!
This looks better then the VW Passat haha, how is this possible.
Looks better, also more user friendly interior; but build quality is still not quite as good. VW Group for some reason always give the Skoda models slightly worse suspension tuning and soundproofing so the Passat is still nicer to drive.
@@Swiss4.2 Skodas always got thier simply clever touch on their cars ❤️
Maybe Skoda actually listen to their customers rather than trying to tell their customers what they should want. There's no way those stupid capacitative buttons on the steering wheel would have ever passed real world customer feedback. And any car without simple things like a volume control knob in plain view on the radio will lose fans too.
It"s a very beatiful car!!! Thanks for review!!!
It looks so much better than the Passat, plus no piano black😅

The key question was asked at the beginning which is why you might need a BMW M5 when you can have one of these. The answer can only be the BMW badge is too important for your self esteem. Before too much longer people are going to judge that premium car emperor is out of clothes.
BMW M5 exists for purposes which no Skoda Superb will ever be able to fill. 😅
The regular BMW 5 Series on the other hand, that is a much nicer car to be in, but it's your decision if it's worth it to spend the extra money.
@@sbstn110 The inside of the new 5 is disgusting... as is the outside come to think of it.
Or if you want rear wheel drive.
@@sbstn110
Quite right to correct me about the M5.
Nice one 🤙
Nice looking well thought out car with the exception of the tacked on center screen.
I like the brighter headliner.
How much difference is there in noise levels on the motorway compared to a VW Passat?
Does the heating layer in the windscreen make the window more tinted (ie. worse to drive in the dark)?

can't believe I'm saying this but it looks more appealing than a bmw
Regarding TDI and TSI 150 hp engines, which one is better in overtaking. I see that from 0-100 they give equal times, but what about acceleration from 60 or 80 km?
Leaking front lights? Have they fixed them? Or at least have they made the replacement front lights any cheaper?
Also I occasionally need to overtake slow traffic, and the 200+ bhp engine map I'm running makes this a pleasure - having nearly twice the power of the Greenline makes a huge difference and the best thing about diesels is that when it doesn't need the power it doesn't burn the fuel.
are they finally upgraded seats? is there knee holder now?
I'm 45 and can remember how Skoda was year ago before VW got it 😆
Very clean designe, great as always skoda simply clever!!

Since North American VWs suck now, VAG should give us Skoda (and Cupra) as compensation.
04:50 Panoramic window is not available for the liftback version I think.
Correct, i was mistaken at that point
I am a bit gealos about the headrest horns function. I have a Superb 3 Facelift configured without leather (because I personally do not like it for some reason) and for my generation, only the leather interior has this option.
Would the headrest from the 4th gen be compatible with the interior of the 3rd gen facelift? 🤔
hmmm strange I thought you can get it for any interior?
