Black dude here. 39 years old. Hip hop head....When I was younger this was one of those rock songs I used to bump and felt in my bones. The end part when they're singing that over lapping part was super dope.

This was one of those songs you turned up on your 6 disc CD changer system with the big speakers, closed your eyes, and let it fill all the space in the room. There’s something very fluid and therapeutic about Chevelle’s music that just sticks with you. I’m transported back to high school every time I hear this album. Love your reaction.
Chevelle is an awesome band. You should check out "Closure", "The Clincher", "Get Some", "Still Running", "Jars", or "Take Out the Gunman" by Chevelle. All great songs, can't really go wrong...
Most definitely, "The Clincher" I saw them in concert when this album came out. omg, they're so good in concert!! Flyleaf, Hinder, and puddle of mud were there as well!! Music was so good back then. Linkin Park and Breaking Benjamin killed EVERYTHING!!

Theres so much to it. Its really about loving someone so much that no matter how bad they hurt you, youre willing to take it. At some point you cant take the hurt any longer but you cant let go
This song! I enjoy on the regular but when you're going through it... Hits on a whole other level. In difficult times this song help me feel like there was someone out feeling my pain. Another great listen is "Letter from a Thief".

When this song was hot a friend of mine went to see them at a small show in Cali. She and her friend hung out with some guys before the show, which they realized when it began were Chevelle
They played at Rocklahoma a while back. They were awesome! Rocklahoma is a three day rock festival here in okalhoma and it's pretty fun. If ya'll ever get a chance to go you guys definitely should!

Do a deep dive on Chevelle. One of my favorite bands. They are one of the few bands that actually got better with age. Much like TOOL.

Really like this band, the music does bear some similarity to deftones' be quiet and drive.
Influences were Deftones, Helm (I believe is the band), and Tool.
Yay y'all finally give them a listen but really you picked three one that was over played and the one just about everyone knows this is only a tiny taste of what they can do. You have to check out something newer please!! I just saw them live in mobile this past September and they were fucking awesome. Pete and Sam have been doing this since they were very young and been touring since they were teens I believe. And Petes voice is often compared to Maynard James Keenan. But anyway please check out more it's well worth it!

This is just a brilliant song...Raw and real...
Chevelle was formed in the 90's as a rock trio, originally w/ 3 brothers in the band - Pete Loeffler (vocals & guitar), Sam Loeffler (drums) and Joe Loeffler (bass)... their debut album "Point #1" (1999) sounded too similar to early Tool... video singles 'Mia' and 'Point #1' got some MTV airplay... After some legal troubles, Chevelle found their sound w/ the 2nd album on a new record label - "Wonder what's next" in 2002 which charted at #14 in the US and sold 2x platinum, scoring the MTV singles 'The Red'... 'Send the pain below'.
They followed up w/ the album "This type of thinking (Could do us in)" in 2004 which went platinum... "Vitamin R (Leading us along)" and 'The Clincher' were the singles... Bassist Joe Loeffler was fired soon after. Their brother-in-law Dean Bernadini joined on bass.
'Vena Sera' (2007) was the next album which went gold in the US (half million copies sold) in the declining CD sales age... singles were 'I get it'... and 'Well enough alone'... Despite declining record sales, Chevelle remained popular, releasing the albums - 'Sci fi crimes' (2009)... 'Hats off to the bull' (2011)... 'La Gargola' (2014)... and 'The North Corridor' (2016)... Bassist Dean Bernadini left Chevelle and the band has toured w/ live musicians since. Chevelle's latest album 'NIRATIAS' (2021) charted at #9 in the US.
This song was playing when I got my 1st tattoo. Kinda fitting. Gave it so much more meaning too.
