Experience Chevelle's journey from their humble beginnings in Grayslake, Illinois, to becoming one of rock's most iconic bands. Brothers Pete and Sam Loeffler started playing music together, drawing inspiration from their musically adept family. They formed Chevelle with bassist Matt Scott, later joined by their younger brother Joe, whose talent quickly became undeniable.
Initially labeled as a Christian band due to their record label's affiliations, Chevelle pushed back against this stereotype, focusing instead on their unique sound. Their second album, "Wonder What's Next," propelled them to stardom with hits like "The Red" and "Send The Pain Below," solidifying their place in the rock scene.
Despite lineup changes and industry challenges, Chevelle continued to innovate, delivering albums like "Vena Sera" and "Sci-Fi Crimes," showcasing their raw, unapologetic sound. Their dedication to their craft and refusal to conform to industry norms set them apart, earning them a dedicated fan base.
With new music on the horizon and a legacy of powerful, introspective rock, Chevelle remains a force to be reckoned with. Stay tuned for updates on their upcoming album and join the journey of one of rock's most enduring bands.

Chevelle is my favourite band since Wonder What's Next. After getting exhausted with the exposure Linkin Park had during the early 2000s, Chevelle came around and they became a breath of fresh air. Since then, I never missed out on a new Chevelle album.

I was lucky enough to meet Pete and Joe, when he was in the band in 2002 and 2004. They stopped in to do an interview at 102.1 The Edge in Toronto and I met them in 2002, when they opened for Stone Sour and in 2004, when they were doing promo for This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In). When I met them in 2004, they remembered me from when I had met them in 2002 and Pete actually let me know the last 3 songs on This Type Of Thinking, as they weren't listed on the CD, when someone read the song titles out to me. Also, I had mentioned the Tool comparison to Pete in 2002 and he didn't seem to mind all that much. I even talked about the guitar tunings from album to album and I wonder if that may have made me stand out to them, besides the fact that I am blind and kinda small.

I still remember seeing them the first time in a bar that didn’t hold more than 200 people and you could instantly tell that one day they would be signed. Just a whole Nother level above everyone else playing the bar scene.

  • @LRM5195

Seen them live 3 times. Not gonna lie, they don’t have much stage presence but I just love how they make what sounds to me like laidback hard rock, if that makes sense lol. It’s soothing but heavy at the same time. Pete always has simple yet effective riffs. His vocal melody on Letter From A Thief is out of this world. But that’s just one example. I also like his lyrics, as they can be very mysterious which leaves it wide open for you to decide what you want the song to be about.

I met them once, when they were driving through my small town when i worked at safeway in highschool. Thier bus had "We're Lost" on the front of thw bus like where they were going.
I met thw stage manager, tour manager, 2 members and had the dopest hangout ever. Cliffs notes, i watched their little grill while the manager went to the hotel to get the band t p meet, and we drank red wine and coke, talked about music, and at one point i yanked a magazine insert from metal edge mag and the two signed it. Then we sang one the members girlfriend a song from the eagles into a cell phone. This would be in either 02 or o3

Around that time, they've had their fair share of interesting openers, and it's not surprising that Chevelle happened to be one of them. I have no experience with Chevelle whatsoever beyond hearing the name of the band, so thank you for this

You need to do one on the most criminally underrated band ever...KING'S X

Opening Wonder What’s Next with Family System was a statement that this band doesn’t mess around.

Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, and Metallica are the reason I got into heavier music when I was in my teens and they all inspired me to learn how to play guitar and sing.

I saw these guys live at a club in Jacksonville Florida . They tore it up , one of the best bands live I have seen . Just 3 guys on a stage playing music that punches you straight on the face . Highly recommend them if you like their music .

Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin are two bands I love that never get any air play on the local rock stations in Australia. As far as I know, neither band has ever toured down under.

I saw them at Birch Hill in Old Bridge, NJ when I was picking up tickets for an upcoming show my band was playing. Mike from Concerts East let me stay to watch them. They were really tight.

Met Chevelle back in the day. Nice enough dudes. My one complaint about them is they don't like to play older music. Would love for them to play Point #1 or Prove to You at a live show.

Chevelle is alternative metal. Basically, sound like a better Tool

Not sure about their later albums.... but their first like 4 or so albums were pure fire.

Chevelle has always been one of my fav bands, they do make "radio" music but its not bad in my opinion... they have a long catalog of really good songs that never hit air play. I still listen to full albums to this day

I first saw them at a place called New Earth in the basement of a church in K.C. back before they were signed. Picked up their demo CD and you could definitely see a Tool influence back then.
