Criminally underrated band that has been such a consistent force of powerful lyrics and riffs that slap you in the face.

Joe left the band to pursue another career, they supposedly made the song Well Enough Alone (my favourite track) to say goodbye to their former bandmate, Pete took up the bass for a long time afterwards in recordings and live they fill that spot.
The brothers did not get along. Pete and Sam are very close. They wanted to tour heavy, create more music and a fanbase. Joe was not into the creative process and hated touring. They said Joe kept quitting the band and they would ask him to come back. The fourth time he quit, they said he’s done. Then he took them to court. Very contentious.
Pete is the songwriter. He does not have vocal training, but he can do falsetto as well as he can do a scream. He has an impressive vocal range. So talented!
Every time I'm in the ER waiting to see a doctor because I'm in so much pain from a Crohns flare up i listen to this song.
Their Vitamin R is the most beautiful song in my life 💛

I love Chevelle. A lot of their older stuff is like if you mixed Tool, Deftones, and like…Creed or Breaking Benjamin. It's a little simpler, a little more "4/4 butt-rock", but vocals, instrumentation, and post-processing very clearly inspired by Tool and Deftones depending on the song you pick. And I mean that in a good way - I don't mean it to take away from their sound and the things they do really well.

That jazzy intro was everything! Loved it. I've been following Chevelle's work for quite a while. Love their low tunings and riffs.
LOVE Chevelle. He's so good at hitting the emotional beats in a way that 's just right. And they just keep getting better.

SO excited for this 7 BY. Hoping you react to So Long, Mother Earth. I find new Chevelle to be quite different than their first albums but it's still obviously Chevelle and it's all really enjoyable.

I used to snowboard in high school and this song absolutely was in my playlist on the slopes.
One of Chicago's finest. I've seen them coming up in dive bars, in stadiums at festivals, arenas as a headliner, and on Fremont St. in Vegas. Pete and Sam are good dudes and one helluva band. I recommend Letter From a Thief and Shamful Metaphors as well.
I'm so jealous. They played Welcome Week at my university but that was... almost 20 years ago now? Holy hell. Would love to see them again at some point.

Chevelle is a great studio band, not one to see live. 10 years is a good one to listen to
I don't know why everyone always had to react to this and the red cuz they are not even close to being as good as the stuff after that albumn
