After doing what I imagine is a similar amount of reading on the subject I've come to the same conclusion to you as to which of the brothers was the loyalist. I thought the latest book was absolutely brilliant.
After watching at least 3 short videos on this, I reckon Alpharius' unique primarch power was genetic manipulation, and effectively the ability to clone himself. This was obviously kept super secret because the ability to make more primarchs is kinda OP. So the original Alpharius basically clones himself and this is Omegon. What goes pear-shaped is that while Alpharius falls to chaos, his clone does not, so when the Alpha Legion go traitor and Alpharius Mk 1 dies, Omegon is left to try and figure out how to keep his legion working for the Imperium without giving the game away. The other people claiming to be Alpharius are in fact additional clones - however to avoid a load of actual primarchs running about in the lore, let's say because he didn't have access to the full technology required, Omegon's clones aren't quite perfect so are more just demi-primarchs. Hey Major, because this was 7 months ago I doubt you'll read this, but that intro was incredible! Just shows you really care about your presentation and the feedback of the viewers. Love the stuff, keep it up man!
What I has been thinking could be happening is; literally everything!. Factionalism, they have broken internally, some following the "original secret orders" from alpharius, others are following the "new secret orders" from Omegon and other large factions have broken off, misinterpreted orders or splintered completely, constantly fighting secret infiltration wars against everybody for their own overarching goals, others have fully fallen as independant chaos warbands..
My headcanon is the "Alpharius" that fought Guilliman was the loyalist one, and instead of killing him, Bobby-G felt sorry for him and adopted him as the "legendary Ultramarine hero" Orar. From him and some loyal Alphas he created the "Ultramarine" successor Chapter: The Sons of Orar. He did something similar with the totally not Iron Warriors: The Silver Skulls
I fractured my painting hand and sorta dropped out of the hobby for a month or two, now I come back and Majorkill has seriously stepped his game up, the set looks great dude! Best Warhammer channel on this circus of a platform
Live presentation/presentation while the camera is staring at you is an entirely different beast than voice only recording. Staring fixedly at one point will come off robotic, especially if the screen you're reading from is past a certain distance from the camera. You can try moving while presenting or switching between screen locations you're reading from or even switching cameras/camera angles. I fully support doing something new, so please take the suggestions as one dude's opinions on how to make something cool slightly better/smoother. If you were talking to someone who was constantly looking at your forehead or ear and never making direct eye contact but never looking away, and they didn't move, it would give off the impression they were barely containing the urge to cannibalize your fleshy bits and consume your power right there and then.
Alpharius is the most loyal of all the primarchs, he is the one who never sought glory and did his duty regardless of the thoughts and perceptions of others. He serves still.
I think that after the Kabal showed them the prophecies, Alpharius and Omegon had a sit down and discussed what to do now and it went something like this: - So, what do we do? - Well, both options suck, right? - Right - But we can't just bail and not choose anything right? - Right - So, we choose both then, which means we choose none. - What do you have in mind, brother? - We join Horus, then I help him and you try to stop him from the inside. That way we'd be both on his side and Father's side at the same time. And then well see how it plays out. - So it's like that Blood Games thing Custodes do now? - Kinda. - Good plan, Omegon - I am Alpharius. - Me too brother, me too.
Agreed, although they were very pragmatic so probably didn't need to rely on that uncertiantly - "What if we join Horus, but make him lose?" would have equally broken the prophecy.
They're both still alive. Why would Alpharius/Omegon knowingly blunder into a deathmatch with Rogal Dorn, who would've been apoplectic with rage at them having turned 'traitor', when they could use their ability to turn a regular Alpha Legionnaire into an inferior clone of themselves and send them to die instead? Both of them still being around would also allow them to better and more effectively manipulate their mostly traitorous legion: Alpharius has the traitor marines tilt at windmills that help the Imperium in roundabout ways, while Omegon leads the actually loyalist marines to more directly fight against Chaos.
I till think there is no Alpharius. Both of them are Omegon but the first found Omegon knows he needs to assume a cover identity so he names himself Alpharius and his legion the alpha Legion.
That stylized A in their emblem does not mean Alpha Legion. It actually means they have Aspirins for those that try to unravel one of their convoluted plots, making them the most considerate legion.
Its taking some getting used to but i like seeing majorkill do vids these ways, its refreshing to see someone with a personality host vids rather then a drone with a fake stale personna
Okay. Here is the thing. Alpharius states that *Omegon* wore scaled armor. Alpharius did not. Alpharius wore smooth armor. Omegon's armor is a holdover from the dark ages. Alpharius, in the Alpharius novel, makes it clear that while he was fighting onto Horus's bridge that... the Alpharius standing on the bridge of the hidden ship was in scaled armor. AKA Horus met Alpharius. Not Omegon. During the novel where Grammaticus is trying to get Alpharius to meet the Cabal - for the ENTIRE novel - You're dealing with Omegon. Not Alpharius. They purposely have said which armor Alpharius is wearing every single time that he shows up. It's the giveaway. Now then... Alpharius COULD NOT borrow Omegon's armor. Omegon states that, when he found the armor, the armor encrypted itself _to him only._ On the level of the warp. It was hand waved away as some Dark Age of Technology fuckery. Omegon is the only one that ever wears the scaled armor.
@@Ardias59 It _should_ be Omegon. The only ones that know the armor difference is the audience, and the two of them. Alpharius was _alone_ when he came across Omegon, and Omegon explained where he found the armor. That armor was warp-bound to Omegon - which, sure, same soul etc etc... but other things that were individual specific managed to stick. Thus I don't see why the armor wouldn't. - and as such Omegon _(I've a theory that it was, in fact, OMEGON who stayed on Terra, and not Alpharius. That, however, is literally due to one, singular line in the Alpharius book... the opening line. I highly doubt the author meant for someone to look that deeply at it, though.)_ was the one fighting Dorn. I honestly think Omegon's dead. Alpharius is playing the part of Omegon as a double layered deception, so that if anyone ever managed to find out about his twin... You know, like all the insane Warp Psykers around the place... he still has a cover to do what he wishes.
@@PZ12354 Yea but they completly fractured most of them still hate Chaos tho so only a few of them wnt to the Eye proably no more than some of the Alpha Legion sects
I would bet that the OG Marines born of Terra stayed loyal with Alpharius raised on Terra. While the rest recruited from their adoptive(Omegons) home-world turned traitor. It would explain why only minority of the legion stayed loyal with Alpharius.

Just letting you know I love the new way you’re doing these videos, keep up the awesome content
Man I was looking for another one of your vids Major Kill, and thank God you responded.
When I used to play Dawn of War, the Chaplain was bar none my favourite Space Marine.
Tbh hand movements do add a lot love you my dude
„Well no, but actually yes“
But also no.
But also yes
I fractured my painting hand and sorta dropped out of the hobby for a month or two, now I come back and Majorkill has seriously stepped his game up, the set looks great dude! Best Warhammer channel on this circus of a platform
That mini is going to make a great Interrogator Chaplain for my Dark Angels
it’ll make a great chaplain for my Death Company Blood Angels too
Live presentation/presentation while the camera is staring at you is an entirely different beast than voice only recording.
Fucking thank you. He is so much like the lion it hurts
I think that after the Kabal showed them the prophecies, Alpharius and Omegon had a sit down and discussed what to do now and it went something like this:
- So, what do we do?
- Well, both options suck, right?
- Right
- But we can't just bail and not choose anything right?
- Right
- So, we choose both then, which means we choose none.
- What do you have in mind, brother?
- We join Horus, then I help him and you try to stop him from the inside. That way we'd be both on his side and Father's side at the same time. And then well see how it plays out.
- So it's like that Blood Games thing Custodes do now?
- Kinda.
- Good plan, Omegon
- I am Alpharius.
- Me too brother, me too.
Agreed, although they were very pragmatic so probably didn't need to rely on that uncertiantly - "What if we join Horus, but make him lose?" would have equally broken the prophecy.
"I am Alpharius" made me chuckeld
The Alpha Legion have always been the absolute coolest marines, from either side
id really like to see a adeptus ridiculous and majorkill collab
I till think there is no Alpharius. Both of them are Omegon but the first found Omegon knows he needs to assume a cover identity so he names himself Alpharius and his legion the alpha Legion.
This new style of video with the on screen intro is really cool
Ahhh shit. I never thought of alpha legion showing dorn the weakness of the defens. Makes so much sense if alpharius started the blood games
My friend started how awesome 40k lore is. Down the rabbit hole we go.
Given that alpharius was short, couldn't the unknown primarch have been some highly competent legionary In disguise?
Only problem is he had the big energy released light show that happens when a primarch dies. So it was most likely one of the twins
Love this topic and Chaplain is one serious winner mini. Well done.
I was confused about alpha legion and now after watching this video I'm even more confused. Thanks Majorkill.
We love your face and hand gestures, nice to see you and not just a photo reel
If you’re taking suggestions, you should sway side to side more and tape your hands to your side
Someone’s gotta make some Majorkill fanart of Majorkill all decked out in chaos space marine armour with Timmy’s head as a decoration.
I really like these book videos :)
Absolute cutie loving the new cam setup
That stylized A in their emblem does not mean Alpha Legion. It actually means they have Aspirins for those that try to unravel one of their convoluted plots, making them the most considerate legion.
Its taking some getting used to but i like seeing majorkill do vids these ways, its refreshing to see someone with a personality host vids rather then a drone with a fake stale personna
Give us a majorkill orc mini already. Choaz and pansi knife-ears look good with skulls but what about the green space-cavemen?
Now that you said it, I would really enjoy a major kill/adeptus ridiculous colab
I would love if they released an alpha legion box set, one half chaos and one half loyalist.
like the new format Major. keep it up
Shit's more confusing than someone trying to explain Kingdom Hearts storyline.
So which one is dead ?
10:38 Minor mistake, the Night Lords didn't go to the Eye of Terror either
They stayed on Tsagualsa until assassination of Curze
@@PZ12354 Yea but they completly fractured most of them still hate Chaos tho so only a few of them wnt to the Eye proably no more than some of the Alpha Legion sects
@@thevgshow2723 even before heresy they didn't have much love for psykers
I love your new format!
I would bet that the OG Marines born of Terra stayed loyal with Alpharius raised on Terra. While the rest recruited from their adoptive(Omegons) home-world turned traitor. It would explain why only minority of the legion stayed loyal with Alpharius.
Hey there, Majorkunt.
Your channel has single handedly sparked my interest in Warhammer lore. Keep up the good work or I'll probably piss myself to death. Thanks for all your hard work!
With love from WV.
The Answer: Yes
I had too watch the intro several times, keep up the good work.
