Hello Majorkill, Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
And malcador just blatantly being to the two primarchs like. "Sorry. Your future is fucked. But there is something to fight for" *Proceeds* *to* *explain* *everything*
Omegon honestly has a pretty sad story. its clear in the Alpharius book that they aren't just twins, they are very much apart of each other with Alpharius feeling something within him was missing until he found Omegon. So to not only deceive and work against Alpharius, but to play a considerable part in his death, would have been monumentally difficult. And after his death, Omegon was essentially alone. The loyalist primarchs considered him a tratior and monster, the traitor primarchs he secretly opposed and stood against (if traitor primarchs were even capable of working together or feeling any sense of kinship) and the vast majority of his legion had embraced chaos due to the misguided actions of Alpharius. All he can do now is work with his remaining loyalist sons to undermine the traitor legions (and kill his other sons along the way.) There doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel for Omegon, at least without Games Workshop devoting some serious time to his and Alpha Legion's story. He made the right decisions and lost everything regardless.
Just the place he needs to be to do his job. Also I believe it was Omegon disguised as Alpharius when he was killed. The real Alpharius was using Omegon's name at the time
But we forget one thing: wasn't it actually Alpharius who was the one remaining loyal and Omegon the one believing the cabal? Because in the Book Alpharius we learn that they swapped their places. So when Horus "discovered" Alpharius, it was actually Omegon, discovered earlier by his Brother. This would mean that Omegon was the one plotting against big E and it was Omegon who was slain by Dorn, believing him to be Alpharius
@@marqs2065 Its more like Omegon is Omegon's real name but he was given the title and alias of Alpharius to use as he pleases by his brother "Alpharius" but Emperor knows "Alpharius" real name.
I'd imagine that one of the main reasons that the Alpha Legion seems to be so useless is that GW painted themselves into a corner with them - kind of like what they're finding themselves roped into with the Lion, who is supposed to be an absolute beast of a man, strategist of super-human intelligence... and now they have to grapple with him doing unbelievably stupid things during the Horus Heresy. (leaving 30k Astartes out of the combat, being tricked by Perturabo, etc.) The Alpha Legion are masters of infiltration and plans within plans within plans. They're essentially the Astartes version of the Emperor, where everything is going Just As Planned, no matter how insane it looks. And that's incredibly hard to use because it is so easy to come across as lazy deus ex Alpha Legion rather than a carefully crafted plot. So you have to tell it from the Alpha Legion PoV just to make what happens believable to the reader, rather than just "And then... Alpha Legion.". (this is what is making the Lion story so good - we're seeing it from HIS perspective, and so it doesn't come down to "And then... the Lion appears.", and we get to see him work through things in his mind, so we understand where he's coming from.)
We need Omegon to be the next "loyalist" primarch to return. Perhaps he plays a major role to twart vashtor and save the imperium in doing so revealing himself as a loyalist primarch.
they have the same problem writing a lot of the primarchs honestly. The problem with writing a super smart character is you have to also be pretty smart, otherwise the character doesn't come off as smart, they come off as a stupid person's idea of what a smart person is like. The Last Church is probably the worst example of this sort of thing, the emperor is supposedly a super smart dude who can see the future and knows the futility of religion from a very informed and well reasoned position, but when he actually argues it in the story it's the weakest 13 year old atheist arguing with their mom about not going to church style arguments imaginable. And on top of the alpha legion having to be very smart they're also very sneaky, so you have to write a convincingly smart plan done by convincingly smart people but also obscure a lot of it because it's being done in secret while also not making it feel like deus ex machina. That's a lot of work so it's no wonder it isn't pulled off often. Would be better IMO to write the modern alpha legion as one where they're not actually making plans or being coordinated; instead of a hydra, where multiple heads are working together from a single body, they are more like an ouroboros, where one head is eating itself. They're not doing anything productive, they're just going in circles. Then you bring back omegon and have him break the ouroboros and remake the legion. Maybe change the legion symbol to an ouroboros and change the colour scheme while you're at it. Make him explicitly not loyal to the emperor, but loyal to humanity itself. They're not loyal to chaos, they're not serving imperium nihilus, and they're not serving imperium sanctus. Would keep their motivations nebulous while allowing them to commit to some concrete goals and make public moves but since they're not a loyalist primarch returning it wouldn't be a win for the imperium. (omegon and peter turbo making their own independent human empire in the materium would be cool as hell IMO even if I know it would never happen)
@@zrrion6the6insect6 I have always loved the dark Angels and in particular Cypher as a character, he is mysterious, is he fallen is he loyal, what is his plan? fuck knows but then I got into the Alpha Legion and it's the same aesthetic, plus they also have a very Western model of every soldier can do the job above, etc. I agree when told from their perspective things are less deus ex machina. I think they just need more stories that put them in a position where they have to face off against both sides, serving an unseen goal, like the fact that the big E got saint celestine to help them that time shows that not all is what it seems.
A good example of their effectiveness was when the entire dark angels chapter went to vraks, they got ambushed and lost 200 marines within less than an hour and the alpha legion had disappeared before the dark angels could counter attack
They’re so cool, only reasons I don’t get them because I got no money and they’re so under represented it’s not even funny, they need more minis and rules damn it!
Omegon posing as a Fallen to join up with The Lion would be a sick twist and possibly allow the two primarchs to talk. Omegon would return, but not immediately blow his cover as loyalist while letting him to loyalist stuff in a new way.
Personally I like to brlieve that none of them besides Omegon really knows for sure whose sides they are supposed to be on and are too embarrassed to ask, so they go around doing whatever the plot demans of them and hopping that it wil all make sense in the end. Meanwhile Omegon assumes that everyone actually knows wtf they are doing so he just lets them do whatever
I feel like gw will gaslight the shit outta people by alpha legionaries in different trailers, and after a while everyone forget about it they will do the funi hifi rush reveal thing
@@TheAHuman Probably not 10th, They will finish the mainline chaos god space marines with emperors children before moving onto the undivided factions I think
It always struck me that Alpha Legion and Dark Angels were originally supposed to be identically comparable, First and Last, one entirely focused on combat, the other entirely on information, both with half their legion serving the other side. The fact that this isn’t how things panned out may be an example of loyalist favoritism is writing unfortunately.
@@GhettoInsane Only alpha legion member who has ever managed to mimic a custodian was the primarch himself. and even that for a limited time by wearing an armor of a custode he killed himself to gain the armor. Case in point, you cant infiltrate Custodes long term. Everyone of them is a somebody with custom made personal arsenal. Alpha Legionnaire could not kill a custodian nor could he mimic one well enough that the others wouldnt notice. How do I know? Well their primarch couldnt do it so neither can they.
@@_NutcasE_ I think a juiced up demi-primarch probably could kill a custodian. But it depends how super mega ultra mega awesome sauce x1million you choose to believe the custodians are lol.
Fun fact: Alpharius and Omegon actually swapped places shortly after Omegon was found, and swapped names as well to maintain the illusion. Omegon was the cocky one who thought he knew the will of the Emperor better than his father. It adds to the tragedy quite nicely I think. Alpharius' brother slain by Dorn, with none of the primarch ever having truly gotten to meet him.
@@douglaslangley9251That’s not what it means. The book begins with that phrase and then tells the story of how the second twin (calling himself Alpharius) met Horus. Basically that beginning phrase is a hint for the reveal that, when the twins meet at the end, they switch names only at that moment.
Imagine the Lion & Guilliman are chatting about Alpha Legion shenanigans and the Lion goes “These actions do not seem at second glance to be malicious in nature. There seems to be a secondary effect which is more prominent than the initial action. What is our little brother up to…”
Prediction time - either sometime during late 10th or early 11th edition, Alpha legion will be playabe as both loyalist and traitor. On top of that, they'll get a single primarch model that can be played in either, going by a different name but being 100% identical play-wise
Alpha legion discussion! Thanks for highlighting them. I wish they were more active in the lore since they are underrrated. They are most intriguing to me right now.
@@QuayNemSorr alpha legion is like a chest burster from the movie alien. You get implanted with them without realizing it until they shown themselves destroying everything you are. Building strength off your body until its a husk.
A real scary Legion wouldnt need to hold up a scary thing on a stick, they would come in smack people around and smack the people so hard they fly off the planet.
Great video, the major issue with Alpha Legion coming back to the setting is basically how would the Loyalist faction fit into the narrative. Their function during the great crusade made sense, destabilize a world to make it easier for other legions to mop up. But when you're fighting factions like Nids and Necrons, their ability to mimic and infiltrate doesn'seem that useful. My best conjecture would be they would be prime to infiltrate the Voltan to get some of that sweet STC tech.
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs ( before their fall ) would react to waking up in the current imperium ( like Guilliman ) would be pretty cool ngl , seeing how they rule their imperium would be great
I would imagine the reason why he doesnt do it, after all this time people asking is because it wouldnt be much of a video. 80% would react the same way as guilliman, and rest would either celebrate, weep or be indifferent. doesnt give much to work with when making a video.
Just my theory, but what if Omegon smuggled the true plans to Constatin Valdor, and thats how he's managed to create a massive army without the Emperor or Malcador.
@@highflame4984 tbh Primaris would of made more sense if it was the Raptor Project the Alpha Legion stole 10k years ago. Rather than "hehe Cawl is smarter than the Emperor"
@@gamechanger8908 Apologies for the necro but I'm pretty sure its more framed as "cawl went insane over thousands of years splitting his personality and melding his mind dozens if not hundreds of times just trying to understand the Emperor's design"
Would be interesting for Guilliman to learn about Omegon since he probably only knew about Alpharius even more so if he learns that Omegon is somewhat a loyalist then things get awkward due to their rivalries.
WOuldnt work out, as they have the same face and all their bullshittery, they would just see them and go death to the traitor. Alpharius may have had the motive of actually showing dorn his weaknesses and his intention may not have even been to kill his brother, it may have been to just help him better prepare for hours, but Dorn didn't give a shit he went kill mode, and then fixed up all of the things Alpharius' had pointed out in the attack. The only brothers that actually respected Alpharius were the lion and Horus every one else kept him at arm's length or disliked him immensely
@joshuaashkar6644 he never takes off his mask and knows way too many dark secrets, he knows the layout of the imperial palace, Big e himself was willing to talk to him...
How convenient, just recently having read the shroud of night AND sons of the hydra. Good points. It's just the matter of which story continuation (or both) should reintroduce omegon into the setting. Come to think of it, a model might be in order as well.
You forgot the whole part about the two brothers, when they first reunited, which their names around and A became O (and vice versa). Along with O (which is A) being hinted at being by the Yellow Kings side. Atleast that is the latest lore on them
So I have a theory to go along with this So in the alpharius book it was confirmed that omegon and alpharius swapped names so it wasn’t that alphabarius was dumb (even though he was) it was that he wa actually omegon and omegon had not spent time with the emperor in r reall figured out his ideals and goals which is why alpharius (who is actually omegon) sided with horus because of his warped view of the emperors vision thinking he cared more about a chaos death then humanity’s survival Also apparently after the death of alpharius (omegon) omegon (alpharius) took the name alpharius to honor his dead brother alpharius (omegon) even though alpharius was omegon and omegon was alpharius Confused? I know I am
I rationalized that not only did they change names but also minds to better sell the lie. They then had their minds wiped and altered a little to make them forget they swapped minds. So Alpharius still lives in Omegon’s body not realizing he is the real Alpharius all along. Secrets within secrets as the Alpha Legion always says.
It's confirmed that Alpharius and Omegon swapped identities for the purposes of meeting Horus only. Alpharius was always Alpharius, Omegon was always Omegon. They simply agreed to have it be Omegon who met Horus when Horus found "Alpharius"
If you are confused then all is as it should be because Omegon might be Alpharius but Alphatius was Omegon eventough in reality Omegon was actually Alpharius who turned out to be Omegon. Who wouldve guessed amirite
@@Gaelek13 it wasn't just for meeting Horus, it was confirmed that omegon would be alpharius omegon the head of the legion when they came out of the shadows, the real alpharius kept in the shadows so as omegon pretended to be alpharius. So yes in my interpretation the actual brother who died was omegon and the survivor is alpharius?
Love how you forfeited the sponsor to show your minis, it was pretty wholesome. Nice job, btw! The Fire Lord's armature looks just a li'l flat for my tastes, but still an excellent resul! You're way better than me than when I started (almost 2 years ago), at least you can paint in the lines :E
This video made me realise out of all the chapters Alpha Legion is the one I knew next to nothing about..... but then I guess that's exactly how they'd like it 😏
Bringing omegon back to fight w/ demon fulgrim would be a really cool development. It would explain why neither of them have been publicly active for the most part, fulgrim is mostly interested in selfish pleasure and omegon is fueling the emperor's children legion's more selfish interests to keep them distracted and fragmented so that they can't unify and cause a problem. Or maybe he and corax have been harrassing lorgar together, that would be an interesting development considering those legion's history
The group so conflicted and confused you’d think they are trolling or got a mental disorder biggest meme possible but truly fascinating having a internal secret war/sabotage
I wish I could remember what novel it was but I remember reading they were the last legion to be found (obviously) but they brought so many worlds under compliance so quickly that they would’ve eventually overtaken the ultramarines (who at the time had brought the most planets under compliance through the great crusade) record.
Hello Majorkill, Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Honestly alpharius was giving dorn the hands, if he wasn’t so determined to try and tell dorn what he knew then it would’ve been a really tough fight for dorn
agreed Alpharius was trying to let dorn know his position while they fought, he needed to put dorn in a position where he could actually explain, talking while fighting is a distraction and ended badly for A
I think most of them wouldn’t have the butcher’s nails given Angron was given them because he was originally the Emperors compassion or something along those lines
Video ideas - “My Favourite Fan Artists”, “What Abilities/Qualities We’re The 2nd & 11th Legions Supposed To Bring To The Battlefield That The Other Legions Lacked?” (speculative, and too wordy for a title, but you can sort that out, that’s what you get the big bucks for, Big Goudas), “Who Is The Next Traitor Primarch To Re-Appear?”, “Is White Dwarf Still Worth Buying/Can It Be Better?”, “Best & Worst Psyker Abilities”, “Craftworlds - Who’s Left, What Impact Will They Have In The New Edition?”.
My personal theory for the Alpha Legions loyalty is that they're not loyal to anyone but the astartes. They're like the Diamond Dogs of 40k, making sure that there's constant war and therefor always a need for astartes.
Gotta say that before this uploaded I gained newfound respect and admiration for Alpharious Omegon. They both are just so much more chill that most of the other Primarchs. Alpharious doesn't have the quite ridgged command structure like the other legions, giving everyone in his presence; be they astartes, mortal humans, tech adepts, ect, a chance to voice their opinions without repercussions. And genuinely caring about their opinions, very rarely writing them off. Like, there is this part in the Head of the Hydra book where Alpharious is doing a fact-finding mission to locate Omegon. While he's questioning the humans that have the information he needs the whole city erupts into violent civil unrest. After taking care of business he confronts the mortals again and you think he's about to off them (two mothers and a child) because they saw his face and could now recognize him. But he was like "Nah, chill. You work for me now. Would be a hell of a lot safer than sticking around here, wouldn't you say so?" Absolute bro move.
For someone who only recently started to paint, your custodian's power sword are gorgeous! Of course the blend could be smoother (they always can be), but it's still really nice looking Flexing your painted mini as a sponsor is a tight idea
Alpharius specifically says he IS playing both sides (The End And The Death: Volume 1- Dan Abnett). Although, he's Alpharius, so there's a high chance he's lying. By the same token though- the only confirmation (I am aware of) we have of Alpharius's death: is from Omegon saying he felt it. (He's Omegon, so there's a high chance he's lying.)
In Saturnine when the dorne kills the Alpha legion primarch there's a wind and a flash of light exactly like what happened after ferrus mannus became ferrus headless The primarch supposedly killed by Gman is much more unclear, afaik there isn't much to confirm or deny if it was just a legionaire
Even without the marine blueprint the alpha legion have the cunning and patience to carve off a handful of imperial world's and build themselves up in numbers of standard marines far beyond the Ultramarines at the height of the great crusade much like Huron attempted with the astral claws only they would do a much better job and I think this would make for a nice trilogy in the current 40k timeline.
And hell they have Omegon/Alpharius around still and unlike litteraly all other Chaos primarchs which are corrupted, he isnt due to not being in the eye for all this time. Meaning they still have a pure source of geneseed to build themselves a legion, and 10k years to slowly build it
I wonder if there's anything to look at with the arrival of the Primaris and the tacit use of traitor geneseed. It could have connections to the Raven Guards' foiled project and Omegon's involvement. Maybe Omegon did give Cawl a hand in his Primaris project. Be definitely a good chance to have a reborn legion live on through those chapters that are derived from him! I'm thinking it could also be a good factor to posthumously revise the complaint in how the writing seemed like Cawl came out of nowhere and pulled the Primaris out of his ass. I'm sure no one knows how to keep this information in the dark better than Omegon.
Other moments of Loyalist Alpha Legion moments is during the Siege of Terra the First Captain of the Alpha Legion actually tried to activate the thousands of stasis bound Alpha legionaries under the palace in favor of the Loyalist. In 42k after the rift was opened a team was dispatched to extract a powerful psyker capable of being a mini Astronimican and were allowed to leave by Celestine after she received a message from the Emperor. Also was Alpharious actually Omegon in the end and a way to tell was his army was the less flashy of the two and he'd actually reference himself as Omegon despite no one really knowing about him. Also obligatory asking for a Major Mini for Commissar Yarrick from Omegon.
this video had a serious tone to it unlike your other videos, and it’s about a legion that basically a meme at this point due to how shifty they are. Thanks Majorkill
Wait, didn't Alpharius and Omegon switch places at one point. Which also led to the possibility of Omegon being the one that died at the hands of Dorn, cause he was masquerading as Alpahrius.
I think it would be interesting to have omegon try to return to the fold through the lion and the two meet rowboat together and have guilliman have difficulty deciding what to do ultimately releasing primaris alpha legions
Can't say it enough man, love your content, you convinced me to start painting minis, looking forward to getting a few of your Xenonids and your Ra models in the near future, keep up the excellent work man
I think GW should maybe make a renegade human army, maybe have Omegon lead it. Or perhaps make it where they can be aligned with any human army, or can be played on their own (Kind of like the Agents of the Imperium, only both Chaos and the Imperium can make use of them) Hell, maybe you can add in the surviving Blackshields who didn't join the deathwatch, and maybe explore some renegade chapters who aren't directly chaotic or loyal, or are leaning loyalist! Though, this would maybe be unrealistic, both lore, meta and irl wise. I mean, you could hypothetically make a supplement for this (Maybe without omegon), and maybe models can be proxied with either generic chaos or imperial models. Though, this is probably just wishful thinking. Great video as always MK! Also your minis look amazing!
Personally. I think the Black Templars in the current setting are *by far* the strongest space marine chapter. From what we understand they have: - hypothesised numerous (like, quite a lot) of crusader fleets which outnumber chapters - having highly coveted relics of the imperium, the black swords being a good example - usual special character fluff stuff. Helbrect really is up there with the likes of bjorn & dante. - usually close relationship with the ellesarchy and soritias
It's fortunate that Omegan assumed the role as chapter master of the minotaurs. Bronze is easier than the alpha legion paint scheme. He walks through custodes like he's trying to feign it's hard.
One thing I picked up on regarding Alpharius: he is actually not that perceptive. His thoughts on his brother primarchs are very very surface level and he actually seems to take everything others say at face value. It is like he was trained in deception but unaware he could be deceived to such a extreme degree he couldn’t even fathom people having depth to them beyond what they immediately present.
I think its less due to him not being perceptive (dude did train with Malcador pretty much no one that interrzcts with Malcador so much end up not being a god of perception), and more due to him being super arrogant lol. He gets cocky as hell because he knows he can infiltrate most primarchs legion without them noticing even if they may suspect. Why would he think his brother are complex when he can trick them more easily than Valdor+the whole Custodes forces while keeping Malcador at bay. It ends up with Karma obviously, but his pov is understandable. Dude managed to approach the Lyon, paranoïac as he is, and managed to only raise his suspicion while in disguise afterrall ^^
Just a matter of time before they find a writer willing to really jump into the Alpha Legion and flesh them out. I do like how the lore has so many things waiting for someone to make interesting novels about them.
Ok ok so here's a what if. What if, Cawl DIDN'T design the Primaris? What if, the Primaris we have now was the unaltered plans of the Primaris design Omegon stole from the Raven Guard and passed along to Cawl by Omegon as a way to give the Imperium a fighting chance as a contingency plan?
So I guess this means that Omegon is pretty much a combination of Big Boss (Elements of both the Real and the Imposter Big Boss) as well as Revolver Ocelot from the entire Metal Gear Series.
0:48 no sponsors or products today *shows off an incredible model with an amazing paint scheme you can buy off of this aussie man link in description of the vid*
Could you imagine the one guy that's with the lion is a alpha legion member? Because he doesn't remove his helmet Infront of anyone? This could be huge in the future. Or could he be Omegan HIMSELF?! This shit about to get spicy AF
Imagine if when Guilliman went to see the Emperor, it was really a husk of Alpharious on the throne. Alpharious : Help, me brother... I took this joke too far. Custodes : What did the Emperor say? Guilliman : We're going on another crusade!
Alpharius: "Dad wants me to betray him. It's all part of his plan." Omegon: "He wants the Imperium he has being working so hard on, the imperium he saved, the imperium he created us to protect, and himseilf, to die? Letting chaos win now but foreseeing that it will die in the end?" Alpharius: "Yes." Omegon: "All that to defeat chaos." Alpharius: "It's brilliant!"
Great work as always. In the book Head of the Hydra, the Original Alpharius switched spots with Original Omegon when he was found. So Original Alpharius was loyal to the Imperium and Original Omegon was the traitor. I could be wrong but that’s how I read it.
The idea that the Emperor would sacrifice humanity to wipe out chaos when the goal was to wipe out chaos to save humanity is so braindead that it's amazing that they ever wrote it.

Makes sense. An entire legion of space marine batmans. how do you write them to NOT conquer the entire galaxy lol
they have the same problem writing a lot of the primarchs honestly.
Bro wrote a paragraph 💀
The great grandmaster Azrael tucked tail and ran, also he almost lost his life.
Shroud of Night is a criminally underrated novel and its a serious shame the Alpha Legion doesnt get more love beyond the heresy.
To me they are by far the most interesting legion. There’s nothing they cannot do.
One of the best 40k books I've read, awsom from start to finish
Real, kharn even shows up its awesome
They’re so cool, only reasons I don’t get them because I got no money and they’re so under represented it’s not even funny, they need more minis and rules damn it!
The best legions for me don`t get that many coverage. Ravenguard, Alpha Legion, Night Lords and White Scars.
Omegon posing as a Fallen to join up with The Lion would be a sick twist and possibly allow the two primarchs to talk. Omegon would return, but not immediately blow his cover as loyalist while letting him to loyalist stuff in a new way.
Omegon being Cypher would be par for the course at this point
Personally I like to brlieve that none of them besides Omegon really knows for sure whose sides they are supposed to be on and are too embarrassed to ask, so they go around doing whatever the plot demans of them and hopping that it wil all make sense in the end. Meanwhile Omegon assumes that everyone actually knows wtf they are doing so he just lets them do whatever
"A plan is great when there is no plan"
- Omegon, probably
"The enemies will never know your plan if you didn't have any plan to begin with"
-Alpharius (?)
😂
Omegon (Alpharius) is one of the coolest characters in 40k. Hope he turns up in some form sooner rather than later.
I feel like gw will gaslight the shit outta people by alpha legionaries in different trailers, and after a while everyone forget about it they will do the funi hifi rush reveal thing
AL showed up a lot in the Arks of Omen. Maybe it is a sign that they will be released in 10th.
All primarchs will be back eventually. Give it time.
How is that loyalist favouritism?
With all the dark angles secrecy, and half of their legion being fallen, the dark angels and Alpha Legion actually are kind of similar
Was there a Alpha Legion member in the custodes?
I was wondering why he didn't add that omegon is actually alpharius, the sword in the dark
Ah but that book starts with "I am alpharius...that was a lie" meaning the swap may have happened even before that!
Closest thing we got was a nice detachment for csm, Loving it
With the alpha legions endless skullduggery and monkeyshines, its amazing that tzeentch never snatched them up as his own.
Alpha legion discussion! Thanks for highlighting them. I wish they were more active in the lore since they are underrrated. They are most intriguing to me right now.
They are very difficult to write properly. Stealth, tricks, subterfuge and espionage sounds like a single assassin not a Space Marine Legion.
Yea they're very interesting IMO as a Noob at 40k lore tho, so take that for what it's worth
@@QuayNemSorr alpha legion is like a chest burster from the movie alien. You get implanted with them without realizing it until they shown themselves destroying everything you are. Building strength off your body until its a husk.
Its crazy how ineffective they are, considering when you look at Alpha Legion they give "fck around and find out" vibes
That’s because they themselves have also not found out
A real scary Legion wouldnt need to hold up a scary thing on a stick, they would come in smack people around and smack the people so hard they fly off the planet.
@@Subject_Keter Matt Ward Ultramarines
It's because when they lose its on purpose
Great video, the major issue with Alpha Legion coming back to the setting is basically how would the Loyalist faction fit into the narrative. Their function during the great crusade made sense, destabilize a world to make it easier for other legions to mop up. But when you're fighting factions like Nids and Necrons, their ability to mimic and infiltrate doesn'seem that useful. My best conjecture would be they would be prime to infiltrate the Voltan to get some of that sweet STC tech.
There's still factions like the Tau, and chaos cultists are always a problem.
Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs ( before their fall ) would react to waking up in the current imperium ( like Guilliman ) would be pretty cool ngl , seeing how they rule their imperium would be great
It would be great indeed and that's why it should happen
Lorgar would have a religious boner for being proven right about big E for sure
I would imagine the reason why he doesnt do it, after all this time people asking is because it wouldnt be much of a video. 80% would react the same way as guilliman, and rest would either celebrate, weep or be indifferent. doesnt give much to work with when making a video.
Just my theory, but what if Omegon smuggled the true plans to Constatin Valdor, and thats how he's managed to create a massive army without the Emperor or Malcador.
What if Omegon still has the plans and has done nothing but mass produce legions of space marines for the past 10k years
That makes me think, what if Omegon pupeteered Cawl in order to have him create the primaris marines, while they are actually based on those plans
@@highflame4984 tbh Primaris would of made more sense if it was the Raptor Project the Alpha Legion stole 10k years ago. Rather than "hehe Cawl is smarter than the Emperor"

DEATH TO THE FOLLOWERS OF THE FALLS TACO DAY
Would be interesting for Guilliman to learn about Omegon since he probably only knew about Alpharius even more so if he learns that Omegon is somewhat a loyalist then things get awkward due to their rivalries.

Targaryen before it was even a word in our tongue mate.
Dude the art makes alpha legion look so cool. Really hope they eventually come to the table top
Atleast that is the latest lore on them
So I have a theory to go along with this
So in the alpharius book it was confirmed that omegon and alpharius swapped names so it wasn’t that alphabarius was dumb (even though he was) it was that he wa actually omegon and omegon had not spent time with the emperor in r reall figured out his ideals and goals which is why alpharius (who is actually omegon) sided with horus because of his warped view of the emperors vision thinking he cared more about a chaos death then humanity’s survival
Also apparently after the death of alpharius (omegon) omegon (alpharius) took the name alpharius to honor his dead brother alpharius (omegon) even though alpharius was omegon and omegon was alpharius
Confused?
@@skullbashr1 they didn't swap names. The author himself stated that Omegon met Horus posing as his twin, but that was it.
As a wise Alpha Legionnaire once said "METAL BAWKSES?!"
You forgot that when Alpharius found Omegon, they swapped names. So Omegon (Alpharius) is still alive while Alpharius (Omegon) is the one that died.
I like the fact both ideas are reasonable.
I still really hope Omegon is Cypher. It'd be such a cool introduction if he were to give the Lion is sword
Hello Majorkill,
Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
I'd agree there, the Alpha Legion for sure is massively underutilised and we'd all love to hear more of em!
Honestly alpharius was giving dorn the hands, if he wasn’t so determined to try and tell dorn what he knew then it would’ve been a really tough fight for dorn
agreed Alpharius was trying to let dorn know his position while they fought, he needed to put dorn in a position where he could actually explain, talking while fighting is a distraction and ended badly for A
Can you do Malcador’s relationship with each primarch?

I was doing this for Tech Marines. And not just a one off bit
My personal theory for the Alpha Legions loyalty is that they're not loyal to anyone but the astartes. They're like the Diamond Dogs of 40k, making sure that there's constant war and therefor always a need for astartes.
A accurate representation of their relationship with everyone.
Of course the blend could be smoother (they always can be), but it's still really nice looking
Flexing your painted mini as a sponsor is a tight idea
Alpharius specifically says he IS playing both sides (The End And The Death: Volume 1- Dan Abnett).
Although, he's Alpharius, so there's a high chance he's lying.
By the same token though- the only confirmation (I am aware of) we have of Alpharius's death: is from Omegon saying he felt it. (He's Omegon, so there's a high chance he's lying.)
In Saturnine when the dorne kills the Alpha legion primarch there's a wind and a flash of light exactly like what happened after ferrus mannus became ferrus headless
The primarch supposedly killed by Gman is much more unclear, afaik there isn't much to confirm or deny if it was just a legionaire
4:14 Majorkill is Alpharius confirmed
I was wondering why the Emperor's Children aren't fucking around with the Eldar 24/7, being the chosen of Slaanesh and all.
this video had a serious tone to it unlike your other videos, and it’s about a legion that basically a meme at this point due to how shifty they are. Thanks Majorkill
Wait, didn't Alpharius and Omegon switch places at one point. Which also led to the possibility of Omegon being the one that died at the hands of Dorn, cause he was masquerading as Alpahrius.
They are waiting for the right moment, bringing in another 1,000,000 super soldiers to help the Imperium
I think it would be interesting to have omegon try to return to the fold through the lion and the two meet rowboat together and have guilliman have difficulty deciding what to do ultimately releasing primaris alpha legions
It’s so cute how proud he is of his minis. Keep it up bro, they look really good
The most straightforward explanation of the Alpha Legion I’ve heard so far 👍🏽
Didn’t go through the complete history they did more than just this

Love seeing you getting into the painting side man, welcome to the never ending climb :D
4:03 well said lol
Can't say it enough man, love your content, you convinced me to start painting minis, looking forward to getting a few of your Xenonids and your Ra models in the near future, keep up the excellent work man
I think GW should maybe make a renegade human army, maybe have Omegon lead it. Or perhaps make it where they can be aligned with any human army, or can be played on their own (Kind of like the Agents of the Imperium, only both Chaos and the Imperium can make use of them)
Hell, maybe you can add in the surviving Blackshields who didn't join the deathwatch, and maybe explore some renegade chapters who aren't directly chaotic or loyal, or are leaning loyalist!
From what we understand they have:
- hypothesised numerous (like, quite a lot) of crusader fleets which outnumber chapters
- having highly coveted relics of the imperium, the black swords being a good example
- usual special character fluff stuff. Helbrect really is up there with the likes of bjorn & dante.
- usually close relationship with the ellesarchy and soritias
AAAAyyyyyyy Majorkill!!!! Your painting skills have BLOWN UPPPP yeahhhhh!!!!! great work mate!
It's fortunate that Omegan assumed the role as chapter master of the minotaurs. Bronze is easier than the alpha legion paint scheme. He walks through custodes like he's trying to feign it's hard.
Haven't watched your videos in a few months, and you look good, dude. Keep it up.

I would love if we got a Omegon model that both chaos and regular space marines could use
Damn fine paint job! You've improved so much!
Really nice job with the painting, Major!
5:52 I think the idea of a suppressed bolter is awesome
I think you are the only person to ever make any sense of the Alpha Legion. Thank you @Majorkill
Majorkill: "Why Are They So Useless?"

G'day and keep on keepin' on Majorkill you sexy bastard. I love alphalegion lore so much.

I’m sorry, is that a fucking bullpup, suppressed bolter with an under barrel eldar weapon?
Everything about this legion that I have learned about can be summed up to “we do a little trolling here”
Imagine if when Guilliman went to see the Emperor, it was really a husk of Alpharious on the throne.
Alpharious : Help, me brother... I took this joke too far.
Custodes : What did the Emperor say?
Guilliman : We're going on another crusade!
Alpharius: "Dad wants me to betray him. It's all part of his plan."
Omegon: "He wants the Imperium he has being working so hard on, the imperium he saved, the imperium he created us to protect, and himseilf, to die? Letting chaos win now but foreseeing that it will die in the end?"
Alpharius: "Yes."
Omegon: "All that to defeat chaos."
Alpharius: "It's brilliant!"
Great work as always.
In the book Head of the Hydra, the Original Alpharius switched spots with Original Omegon when he was found. So Original Alpharius was loyal to the Imperium and Original Omegon was the traitor. I could be wrong but that’s how I read it.
This is Majorkill now? What a change, maybe not all for the better.
I always like seeing those sound suppressors on the end of Alpha Legion bolters.
That's a dope paintjob my guy. I don't know if I have ever commented or liked anything in my life but you get both for the algorithm.
The idea that the Emperor would sacrifice humanity to wipe out chaos when the goal was to wipe out chaos to save humanity is so braindead that it's amazing that they ever wrote it.
