I was expecting a quip on the two missing legions and their primarchs and their "names" being forgotten or never existing due to being erased.... I'm sure majorkill could work with something to make a great line, I just particularly suck at it. XD

The pre primarch death guard and world eaters would’ve been so much better off without their primarchs. The fact that loyalist world eaters outnumbered the other loyalist legions on istvaan 3 says a lot. They hated angron for what he did to them
Yeah For the world eaters getting their primarch was more shameful than an honour Both started with the left foot and then started moving backwards No wonder they tried to either eliminate him or leaving him in holy terra permanently
Iron warriors also belong on that list. They were supremely competent without perturabo decimating them and putting them through unnecessary losses against the Hrud.
I've got one. What if the Primarchs where found in the order of their creation. So the Lion was first and Horus was nearly last. I think that could change quite a bit, don't you think?
Or what if the expansionists primarchs found each other before their father did? Imagine being an ultimate being superior to everyone else but SURPRISE you found another one almost exactly like you in another planet?
@@GarkKahnbro the combos of who could find who could be super interesting. All things considered The emperor found nuceria, Angrons homeworld very close to ultramar. Let’s say the emperor takes 70 more years to find him and he’d have likely been able to save an Angron that never got the butchers nails.
If they had all been on terra from the beginning and urda didn't cast them to the warp the Civil War would of been between the emperor and the mother. Cold hand of the father warm embrace of the mother a very interesting what if
Of all the legions that changed so much, I like the Dusk Raiders and Imperial Heralds(Death Guad and Word Bearers) the best. Especially the Dusk Raiders with how much better than the Death Guard they were.
Still just waiting for the video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would have reacted to being in Guillimans situation as imperial regent , and how each of them would rule or destroy their new imperium
I think it'd be interesting to hear you rank all of the legions based on sheer brutality. World Eaters are obviously brutal and Salamanders are known for being the most caring, but there's still 16 more legions and it'd be interesting to see just where they all line up. Cheers.
Blood Angels, they were known as the Revenant Legion for being the most brutal. And if it wasn’t for Sanguinius, they would be purged like the 2nd and 11th

Hello Majorkill, Would you please make some lore videos on the Imperial Truth, the Imperial Creed, the Ecclesiarchy, and the High Lords of Terra? Pretty please? Thank you.
Those topics may look boring in the surface and for those that are only knee deep in the lore it surely would be. But for those that are sunk in the lore or at least balls deep it would be extremely interesting
10:10 which is a way better name than Salamander. Most people when they think salamander, don’t think of the mythic creature, they think of those colorful amphibians.
I think that has to do with the folktale connection of salamanders with fire, many medieval peoples even thinking that salamanders were spawned in fire. This is phenomenon was likely based on damp logs being used as firewood and the salamanders escaping what they thought was a good place to hibernate. There are also many other instances where salamanders in fantasy have fire oriented powers.
I usually just mix my legions to basically play as blood angels with x but the raven guard I always run as ashen claws. For example I’ve made a Black Dragon’s successor chapter with Blood Angels geneseed. This chapter members only begin to mutate bone growths in the early stages of the black rage with the upside of no red thirst. After the battle with Angron vs the Lion and Dante some Dark Angels witnessed the honor of the IX legion. They decided to make a blood pact with the blood angels and to hold the weight of there curses together as brothers becoming an entirely new successor chapter.
With the alpha legion I thought it was the other way round with Omegon being kept secret and staying hidden on terra and Alpharius being scattered into the galaxy.
The World eaters are some of the most tragic. They were an already brutal force. Wanting to engage at close range and had a reputation of leaving few alive. But they were not blood crazed bezerkers. Angron, despite wanting to removed the 'collared hound' aesthetic decided to instead put the butchers nail into all of them. And an imperfect one at that cause the Mechanicus couldn't exactly replicate it. They had some of the most loyalists in the numbers when the massacre happened, which shows just how much Angrons arrival had truly angered the legion. He doomed the rest to become nothing more than hounds frothing at the mouth in service to Khorne.
Imo, the XIX legion should have been the Raptors that would be the Tacticool space marine legion, with the Ravenguard chapter being spun off from them as the elite first grand company who went along with corax most.
With the Lunar Wolves it's probably like this. Garviel: "Look how awesome we look in our grey armour with cool looking trim!" Failbaddon: "Mate, do you know how easy you can paint your army black? Very easy."
How about a “what if Horus won” video? The imperium of terra would have fallen, but presumably the loyalists would have fought on, guilliman himself having an empire within an empire. Maybe they form an uneasy alliance with perturabo, who at this point was mostly just sick of his insane brothers? Could be some interesting scenarios here, it would basically be imperium nihilus vs chaos. And to give the loyalists a fighting chance maybe assume sanguinius got away, and maybe Dorn as well.
Chaos would have burned itself out too most limey leading to the extinction of humanity but a possible end to chaos. Long term it was better the traitors won
Honestly, the Dusk Raiders have to be one of my absolute favourite legions of all time The very simple yet ritualistic meaning behind the red amidst the ash gray is fucking amazing, love their brutality
Dusk Raiders were recruited from what was Scotland (No, not Albania as some dribbly spoons seem to think) and are based on the Border Reivers along with a smattering of the old legends of dawn raids over the walls by various tribes vs the Romans et. al. (Caledonii, not bloody Picts!).

Almost no one ever uses decimated to mean the destruction of 1/10th of something. Most people just use it to mean mass destruction. Get with the times, gramps
i wonder if its possible to bring back some of the traitor legions back in their pre-primarch style. like say, using pure uncorrupted Mortarion spunk to recreate the Dusk Raiders.
Why are most of the pre primarch legions look better and have better lore, like the raven guards wore camo depending on the mission, and most of the legions didn't have the extravagant colors, they felt like actual elite soldiers with tactics rather super man children screaming with a chainsword.
Night Lords at one point before meeting Konrad wore grey armour with the lightning bolts and eagle of the Emperor, at some point this changed to a inky blue/black colour though apparently without the lightning effect though whether that change was before or after meeting Curze is not known as far as I am aware. Edit; I have been told that Konrad was not found at this time so the Night Lords wore the innky blue/black before meeting him then probably added the bat motifs and lightning after being reunited.

Absolutely correct! I think their colors are the reason noone plays them
Because the Khan is the best and most tasteful of the Primarchs
If the World Eaters had kept their original name, they could’ve later changed it to the ‘Khorne Dogs.’
And if they fell to Slaneesh they'd be the Horny Dogs.
