That looks fantastic! I gotta say, watching your videos has inspired me to confidently tackle the few paint issues I have on my car. My grandad used to own his own body shop and did amazing work and my dad was a car fiend who could do it all from custom sound systems, installing sun roofs and swapping trannies, so it's just coming around in full circle with me wanting to get into both sides. I wish they were both alive so we could work together.
Brian no matter what, you are the crack I follow you because you teach the right way I'm in mexicali baja California México,.and over here you help us a lot
Yeah...I'm repainting my 05 F350 dually pickup truck in black. It was black and I'm going back with black. I welded in patch panels on all 4 doors. I've got so much time in blocking and straightening out the bottom foot of those doors that I'm about ready to puke. I'm final sanding the truck now for paint. It's a huge truck, and I want it straight. I can guarantee that it's straighter than when it came off the dealer lot. I'm really looking forward to putting an end to this project, but I'm not gonna rush it. I've got tons of time in it and I'm not about to shortcut it now. You can see every defect on black. I'll probably put 4 coats of clear on it because I plan on cut and buffing the whole thing. I got at least 130 hours in it so far...probably way more.
The booth is fine. My business partner has a habit of running over the air hoses in the booth and I'm tired of replacing them. I have a Sata filter system that will stop anything before the hoses in the booth and the booth is clean.
Any pointers on an issue Im having. 2012 Escalade black. Previous owner ran it through automatic car washes constantly. I was able to get the swirls and most scratches out with a DA and meguiars ultimate compound. There is something that looks like really dark grey colored runs covering the entire vehicle, almost like the car was covered in some thick fluid and baked in the sun. I was thinking maybe color sand with 3k and see if that helps.
wow very nice, guess you just joking around about Hating it, have you ever heard of Restoration Shop Jet Black (Gloss) Acrylic Enamel Auto Paint? im thinking of using that to paint my car.
I understood what you are talking about. Everything is going to show up from spraying black paint. Great work with the clear paint . Invest in a new sprayer for your primer, you had the fan all the way open
@@josephnseawrightjr5138 What does that have anything to do with Darth vader comment? And I'm pretty sure the guy in the video has access to all guns and knows how to use them lol

I love doing black. I hate painting white. Hard to see while painting and any little dark nibs will show.
Its ur booth. I sprayed in booth where id nonstop get black nibs in my white paint. And the one im currently in, havent gotten a single one yet

Black shows every imperfection.
Damn! .... that clear looks mighty fine😁 what clear are you using ?
Unless you need more fingers and toes to count the dirt specs on, you shouldn’t even mention them. We ain’t got no booth, weez gonna get dirt😉
Black shows everything and I want to have my car hood repainted because it has rock chips and swirl scratches. It’s a 2018 Accord EXL black.
Black has a few advantages, black is always black, easy to match, and usually goes on really shiny, but it does show everything
Can I rattle paint a flat black & use 2K glamour ? Will I get a nice gloss finish?
Looks sharp! How you mentioned the little nubs makes me excited to get an actual paint booth. I’ve founds tricks to help but I still get quite a few
They are a part of the job.

Nice job. What gun do you use for base?
I feel you 1000000000% black is my least favorite color to deal with 😅
