  • One of the kitchen staples we no longer buy is chocolate syrup. This super fast and easy recipe will quickly become a staple in your home like it has ours. You can have it fully made in under 10 minutes and it stores in the fridge for 4-6 weeks.
    Chocolate Syrup
    3/4c. cocoa powder
    1 1/2c. sugar
    3/4c. water
    1/2t. salt
    2t. vanilla extract
in a saucepan bring everything except the vanilla to a boil. Boil it for 30 seconds. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
    That is it!
Put into a container and store in the fridge.
The best price on many of our pantry staples is Azure Standard. We love their apple juice cranberries, chocolate chips, oats, molasses, flour and just about anything we have purchased. www.azurestandard.com/?a_aid=...

Always use the cold water when adding to food stuffs. Hot water tanks become “contaminated” think mineral deposits, over time as they don’t reach boiling temperatures…hopefully!

I truly appreciate you. Thank you for sharing this recipe. It was simple to make. The quality of the chocolate used will definitely affect the taste. I had a high quality chocolate on hand and the syrup tastes very rich and yummy.
PS - the recipe strikes me as a version of your corn syrup recipe but with chocolate powder added 🙂

I guess they are similar. We use a ton of this stuff. I think I. Make it like every 10 days. I just got some dark chocolate from an Amish grocery I’m excited to try in it.

Can't wait to try it out! Just about to move to a new place with a regular sized refrigerator / freezer 🤩 (had to camp out for a bit with a small version). Looking forward to not having to buy this, getting way too expensive, and I'm a milkshake, chocolate ice cream loving person. PS - I love your apron 🥰Thanks for sharing with me, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Great idea. TFS your recipe. Don’t apologize for your side-chat, it’s part of the charm of your channel. BTW… I really NEED one of the aprons you’re wearing! What’s your source please? All mine are around the neck straps. Ugg!

Thank you for the kind comment! The tan one in this video is from William Sonoma. Many I made and a few are from Amazon. If there is a specific one let me know. I hope to sew some more and get them on my Etsy page but I wanted to make sure they were going to hold up to a beating before I posted them.

Do you know how to do a strawberry syrup?

I have tried to figure it out but since I’ve been trying real strawberry it was too clumpy for our liking. I’m still working on it. 😁

My dumb ex husband ( hole different story) but was always irritated when we drove by the smell of animal poo. Me being a farm, when asked could identify which farm animal it came from. My question was always why do you ask when you know I will tell you?!? Liking your channel, keep up the hard work
