This is probably a dumb question but I usually add a can of cream of chicken soup to my chicken and noodles. Since I am adding it to chicken, do I just use your recipe but just don't add the additional chicken? Thanks
Yep, that's what I would do.
Yum- can't wait to make this!! Thanks, Ali!
OMG it looks delicious! When I saw you put the water into the processor with everything else I thought, oh no! Once I discovered making pie pie dough in the processor, I never went back. Happy Turkey Day 🦃
I've been at my son the daughter in law's helping for a while. I don't have an apple peeler/corer here. Found a Pampered Chef one on marketplace for $7 and it's like new.
I feel like we could be best friends. I was just about keeled over with laughing by the time you said to just go buy a crust! THAT IS SO ME!!! I can cook, but pie crust has eluded me, I think I’ve made two good ones in 42 years of marriage. This looks so amazing, though, that I’m gonna give it a try (possibly with the store bought crust) for our thanksgiving dessert. Much love from another former SoCal gal 😊
Hi Ali. Just made the pie tonight. I had a glass 9 inch plate, made the crust from scratch, used 2 quarts of cinnamon apple pie filling I canned last year. I baked it 20 minutes longer, May increase temp to 400 degrees next time, and my son and hubby LOVED it!!!! THANK YOU, AGAIN,
LOL The video today was perfect....just like my "perfect" life! Loved every minute of it. Was in a low mood and you really cheered me up, thank you! The pie also looks delish!
Your channel is very uplifting!
I wonder if the slicer would work if you partially froze the pears first.....🤔
Good idea. I have a ton of pear to process this week. I’ll have to try that.
I have my grandmothers original BH&G cookbook. Appreciate your video… going to make it for the holidays! 😀
I was doing this in the 90's and still do 9n occasions.
Me too. So many times in high school in the 90’s
That looks amazing! I love Apple pie and I love pecans. Win!
I made these potatoes tonight for supper and they were amazing! My family absolutely loved them.
So glad to hear that your family loved them!
I made Shawns scalloped potatoes tonight..OMG!! they are so good!! Thank you!ove all your video's ty for sharing
Glad you liked them! I love those potatoes too!
Thanks so much for sharing the recipes.
Thank you for sharing your recipes. I made cranberry pepper jam. We love it and it is a perfect gift for the holidays.
Looks like you get some great stuff in those boxes. I don’t think it’s expensive when I see what we have to pay in Australia for good meat. I go to the butcher down the road from me cos his meat is beautiful and it doesn’t cos me much cos I don’t eat much. It just annoys me when I see what we pay and the stuff that gets exported to other countries and they pay less than we have to pay for items that are made here in Australia. Enjoy your butcher box, it does look great. Don’t know if what I’ve just written makes sense but I’m hoping its understandable lol. Have a great weekend.
It made perfect sense 🤪
I made your jelly recipe today. I can’t wait to try it! Thank you ! 🙂I Love your videos! Thank you! ❤I’m going to give some as gifts.
I'm so glad you tried it!
I made these tonight! You did not lie! These are the best scalloped potatoes on earth! I served them with chicken breast stuffed with jalapeño cream cheese and wrapped with bacon! 👍
That chicken sound amazing. I’m so glad you liked the potatoes. We finished them and I’m ready for him to make them again.
I'm from Florida and orange blossom will always be my favorite! I guess because it's what I grew up on.
I can’t wait to try this!!!
I'd like to try this
Dang!!! He is quicker than Shazam!!!😂😅
OMG I love you so much! What I’d give if you were my daughter! Can I PLEASE adopt you? You’d fit in our family so well and so would Shawn!!! Y’all are the dream family! This looks SO good!!! I HAVE to try it! I always wanted a fun daughter like you!!! I HAVE to try this pie!!! Pecans are incredible and I’m not a pumpkin person! I’ll make a pumpkin pie for HIMSELF…..but I’ll make an apple pecan pie for me! Know what? HIMSELF will like mine more!!! LOL! Love youn and Shawn so much!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much. You are too sweet. I like pumpkin but apple so much more. I hope himself likes it 😂
I am so to bother you but your ranch dressing recipe you say tablespoon but the recipe says teaspoon for dill, onion powder, garlic, which one is it? I am new to this but always wanted to love you video s
The written one is correct. I made a big batch so the written multiplied. Sorry for the confusion.
The trays on the round one and the Septree are loaded up, but the Cosori isn't. Wouldn't that make a difference in drying time? Seems the more airflow the faster it would dry. Just wondering.
Not really. The fans are in different locations which is the biggest thing.
💕💕💕
Make paprika
It’s on my list.
That's both of my parents favorites fused together!! I didn't know pie fusion was a thing, lol 😆. Looks incredible!! Thanks,Ali. 😊 it's on my list
😋😋👏👏👏
We made one, didn’t know it was a “thing”, when I asked our son what he wanted for his birthday when he was in junior high. He said he wanted pie instead of a cake. Ok, which pie? He said he loved my pecan pie and an apple pie - could I combine them? I make a glaze with brown sugar, pecans, sugar, and other things and make my cinnamon rolls upside down just like this so I said I could put it under the pie shell and ta-da - our upside down apple pecan pie was born. He is married with 2 kids now and we still like it.
That’s awesome!!!
@ Imagine my surprise when I see you making this! Lol
Big Bear! I used to love going there! I'm originally from Orange County, but been in Texas from Northern California for 18 years now. No worries about the video. I, for one, love that you're so real and the pie turned out great! Keep doin' you, girlfriend! 😊
We lived up there for a bit. It’s pretty but super touristy. Shawn was from diamond bar area. We have family in Orange County.
Just another day in paradise. Love your “real life” attitude. ❤
I love your hutch. It has a great amount of storage. I’ve been looking for a small one for my kitchen, but the smaller hutches are so hard to find. Thanks for sharing how you organize everything. 😊
I’m glad you like it! We love it. I got it from a local antique store but check out estate sales.
I always use the food processor as well. Humidity has a lot to do with the way pie crust acts as well. I don’t know why pie crust is so finicky. After years of mistakes and patchwork pie crust I finally got the correct feel. I hope you made vanilla ice cream. Then I hear you mention it. Enjoy! It looks great.
We did make ice cream
Do you have any advice about keeping onion powder from caking and becoming rock hard? I have this problem. Maybe add dry rice grains? Nothing really seems to work. Thanks.
I know exactly what you mean. We use ours almost daily and I just give it a a good shake. I just break it apart when I use it.
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa I have to put chunks in our spice grinder and regrind it back into a powder. But I will definitely try your method. Thanks liked and subbed.
That looks so tempting, but I need a recipe for one person.
You can do it in muffin tins.
Great job Sean (sp?)! They look so yummy!
Shawn but he will a answer to it anyway it is spelled
Enjoyed ur video bc I've thot about canning cb juice. This is how I can grape juice 😊👍
How long do let these infuse before they are ready to use or can you use the IP method you showed with the vanilla? I would love to do some of these, especially the almond, but would want to pour into little 4 oz bottles to gift.
Longer is better but a few months is okay. You can do the IP conversion with these ones as well. Keep in mind the almond is not as strong as commercial since they don’t actually use almond. It is free but weaker.
How much water do you add to the boullion powder when you get ready to use it?
1-3 teaspoons to desired taste. I usually do 2.
@ Thank you! 😊
I grew up with homemade apple pie my mom made, with uncooked apples piled high. She would put the top crust on and bake it. When it came to the table, she would take a spoon and crack a small hole in the top of the crust and pour in cheddar cheese bechamel (the exact same one you'd make for mac n' cheese), then slice it. Oh how we loved that! She would have me make little apple cut-outs from an extra crust, and she would affix them to the crust for decoration. Yours looks so good. Will give it a try soon!
That sounds amazing! Isn’t cheese and apple an odd but delicious combo!!!!
The crisco and butter is sticking because you added the water too soon. It’s best to use all butter cold cut into smaller pieces. Once the flour is crumbly then slowly add ice cold water from the top of the food processor then it’ll come together with just a few short pulses.
You are totally right! I always forget to add the water last!
You just taught us how to troubleshoot and fix our "oops". I would have freaked, but in the future I'll know to calmly re-read the recipe and adjust. Thank you!😊
Exactly, you can’t let the "oops" moment get you down! It's a learning experience!
Have you ever used lard. Ina said use lard, don't even ask...lol my grandma used it and so do I. Love your channel. I love that you are so real 😍
I have and it totally works. I am 99% sure I have some in the back of the cabinet. I use it when I make chicken pot pie
I could literally “taste” that pie when you took the pie plate off!! Looks yummy! Thanks for doing “you” ♥️
Thanks for watching, I hope you try it!
Mrs Allie your right we're all human and we all make mistakes.

You mentioned the kind of videos you like to watch and wondered if we would like to see that kind of video as well. As long as what you eat comes with your dubes and recipes you used, I am IN!!! I am so excited about your channel. I told you a few days ago, I found your channel in the middle of the night when I was not able to sleep. Now, I am addicted to it. I am trying to watch each video. Your teaching style is wonderful and your content is beyond!!! Thank you, suzie
