T. Seladonia has definitely come down a lot in price, there was spiderlings recently available in the uk from one of the main tarantula dealers here that were being sold for £95 or around $140 which isn't super cheap but they are still way too complicated for me to try keeping them especially with such specific housing requirements, i would always want my Ts comfort to be priority and I don't think i cpuld deliver on that with a T. Seladonia

Welcome aboard! It is great to have you! You should definately think about getting a pet tarantula...they are amazing! I actually have a playlist of videos just for people like yourself thinking about getting into the hobby, it is kind of a crash course on keeping tarantulas: ua-cam.com/play/PLjBrtja7Q8uj435GOoijmU_ZRphfcx6tg.html
Same here. I got into inverts like 6 months ago, and it's honestly addicting. I have more inverts now than reptiles, since they're so much smaller and easier to keep Edit: Still no Ts tho. I'm hoping to get one soon
Damn! Tarantulas are expensive in the US. You can get some of these in the UK for a fraction of the price. For instance a seledonia spiderling would set you back maybe £75 and a chilobrachys electric blue about £20/25. I guess there is far more keepers in the US and a few egg sacs of a rare species in the UK would probably satisfy the demand for the whole country.
Yeah I noticed this, I'm fairly sure the spider shop had Brazilian jewel slings for around £90 a few weeks ago, unfortunately I couldn't justify the spend on a 1cm sling otherwise I would've snapped one up.
i think its mainly legal stuff that keeps the species count low over here... plus i don't think alot survive the journey as well ...there maybe a shipment of100 of a certain species and maybe 20 or 30 will make it to a keeper
Every species in captivity where wild caught as some point or another. Wild caught animals are perfectly fine providing its regulated and they are not over collected. Infact will caught specimens are useful to captive populations as it introduces fresh bloodlines into the captive population and reduces inbreeding. Captive populations can then be reintroduced into wild if necessary.
I have been loving your channel. I have been severely arachnophobic my whole life and about 3 months ago I got tired of it so I started keeping various jumping spiders. About a month ago I got a young wolf spider. 2 days ago I held my first tarantula, a young Grammostola pulchripes, and purchased a Hapalopus sp. Columbia spiderling as my first T. Thanks for helping keep me encouraged in my quest to get rid of my arachnophobia.

Love this list, I literally just picked up the lava spider today with a free second electric blue today from fear not. A person on Ksl here in Utah is selling T seladonia slings for $400 a pop. I considered asking but it costs twice as much as my lava T 😂
Have you ever seen a Brachypelma klaasi? I Just found and purchased two slings. They are a rare find from what I understand. I'd love to see a show based on this species, especially if you could find an adult to show one in action. I cannot find anyone who collects T's that have this species in their collection. Thanks! Love your videos!
I have an adult female i bought at a show in the uk a couple of years back. cost me a decent amount though but i wasn't going to pass that up. I see the odd juvie and slings here and there. so there not as rare as they used to be.
Does the Thailand electric blue have blue colored legs even in it's youngest growth stages as sling? I recently found a sling in my house in NE Thailand which looms exactly like this one just it doesn't have any blue. In terms of color it looks more like it's cousin the Huaini Turantula
Do you have any videos about Thai species? I'm looking to get a T but I live in Thailand and don't think I can order one from abroad... So I'll have to take a Thai species which aren't known to be good for beginners.. So I'm not sure which to choose.
This is a great video- thanks- I'm wondering if any of these are endangered, or if the collectors represent any threat to the populations of the spiders-
I would love a Lava tarantula. Recently, in the last few weeks, I found one for sale but didn't have the funds. One of my online friends today announced he has one on the way after he saw my posting about them for sale.

I've only seen one A mooreae for sale, it's $450, but when I saw the same one at an expo from the same seller, it was $400.
What is the name of the company breeders that you get your spiders from. Thank you I enjoy watching your videos
I used to have a Theraphosinae Sp Colombia that I raised from a sling to adult and she was beautiful :)
Damn your editing is amazing.
Edit: I want the pink one.
If you're in the US there are quite a few breeders that sell them. Tom Moran recently did a video on them i think.
That teensy T Seladonia has the cutest threat pose I have ever seen!!
This is a great video- thanks- I'm wondering if any of these are endangered, or if the collectors represent any threat to the populations of the spiders-
Hapalopus sp. guerilla, Theraphosidae sp. megacarapace, Megaphobema mesomelas, Euathlus manicata ♡
I have a pair of Megaphobema mesomelas myself and they are gorgeous
can you do a care video for grammostola iheringi (entre rios) I can't seem to find a good video on it
What beautiful tarantulas. Thank you for showing them to us.
GOD BLESS 🕷💖🕷💖🕷💖
I have a xenesthis intermedia spiderling and can't wait for him/her to grow
I would love a Lava tarantula. Recently, in the last few weeks, I found one for sale but didn't have the funds. One of my online friends today announced he has one on the way after he saw my posting about them for sale.
My s/o just got their T.seladonia yesterday and its adorable.
Do you ever get any of our Aus species over in the States? I’d imagine they’d go for a bit if it got through Australian borders
Hi richard. I wonder what song that u play at very beginning of this vid? I love that song btw 🔥😂
It is called Kermode by Tigerblood Jewel
Brilliant video love from over the pond
Almost got a electric blue but I am taking your advice and starting my collection slow
Thank you for sharing this info
What is the bornean blue leg doing in the burrow? Not seen that movement before.
If you haven't already checked out Dave's video of separating the slings of your #1 from their mother, you really should. It's an epic and humourous video, that I watch whenever I need a mood lift!✨🕷️✨
