Nature often produces wonders beyond human capabilites. spider silk alone is a great example. Gotta think though, that trap door is more like a submarine hatch, as even with it being Africa, when it does rain, it will need a water tight seal so her and her eggs/babies dont drown. pretty crazy.
The door is tapered ,the hole is tapered too , no tape measure, no blueprints, just the instinct that God gave her, and it is repeated through the generations of old, wow, hallelujah.
I owned one of these when I kept tarantulas. Bad thing is I didnt know it was illegally sold at a pet shop. I kept her for 7 years. I used floral foam and drilled a small hole in a block of it. She dug down into the substrate and I literally only seen her pop out for her food. Had just glimpses of how big she really was. Oh, and she was one of the fastest spiders I have ever seen. She's a beauty, and those slings (spiderlings) are so cute! I'm amazed at how chill she was, even when you were petting her rump, though she could have also just been scared.
In the spider world, it boils down to only having a few emotions or instincts. Hungry, mate and attack. These creatures aren't capable of being afraid or even liking us. Though that's not to say they hate us. They're quite incapable of that as well. As long as you don't make the creature feel like it should defend itself, it won't mind you too much
i don't think she was afraid. plus, spiders will usually either run if they can or bite if they cant when they're scared; no freeze reaction. as he mentioned, the species is just nocturnal, so i imagine that's why she seemed so chill.

Babies: Ight ima head out
Rocky Rider u must not know but all animals have different “gestation” periods, humans for example is 9 months. That’s why I think you think it’s 9 months they’ve been in there. But animals such as rabbits are only pregnant for about a month before giving birth. I bets it’s way shorter for a spider, probably only a couple weeks

So fascinated with how shut that door is.. perfectly rounded and all. Like it almost looks so man-made.
Nature often produces wonders beyond human capabilites. spider silk alone is a great example. Gotta think though, that trap door is more like a submarine hatch, as even with it being Africa, when it does rain, it will need a water tight seal so her and her eggs/babies dont drown. pretty crazy.
Did u know spider silk is bulletproof only different type this one has a strong web

Faster than Baboons, faster than "Pokeys". And she
was one scary looking spider.

As long as you don't make the creature feel like it should defend itself, it won't mind you too much
@@skywolfx76 about you?
i don't think she was afraid. plus, spiders will usually either run if they can or bite if they cant when they're scared; no freeze reaction. as he mentioned, the species is just nocturnal, so i imagine that's why she seemed so chill.
@@skywolfx76 They may not be able to like us but they still feel fear. They're not robots.
