      Hi Dr. Ekberg,
I started fasting about a month ago and I'm gradually proceeding into longer fasts (the peaks were two 36h fasting but I'm usually staying around the 18h) so I don't yet feel the extreme need to supplement since I focus on eating healthy food during the eating window.
But I'm planning to get to my first 72h and later the 100h fast, so I wanted to ask if you were planning to open a (virtual) shop here in europe too.
Or at least if you could utilize one of those services and couriers that allow to shop and pay both import tax and potential custom duties via pc or smartphone, because having both to pay an extra while also having to go to the postal service or stay at home from work to pay the courier is really unfeasible.
And lastly, a friend of mine (who actually introduced me to intermittent fasting) is sporadically using AG1 (which I think it used to be called ''Athlethic Greens'')... Do you think it's a good supplement to take or did you make some research on it and found some potential issues with it?
In any case, thanks for the work you do. It really helped me out understanding the processes involved in the things you suggest. Which is what led me to practice it in a more informed manner and avoid confusion.
      Greetings from Milan, Italy.

Everybody reacts differently to a change in eating habits. I lost 52 pounds in 6 months. 33 of those pounds were shed in the first 36 days. I didn't go keto. I cut out processed foods, sugar, and ate low carb. I didn't measure anything, and I purposely didn't exercise because this was an experiment to me. I started exercising about 6 weeks ago to start my next phase of this experiment. As another example, my wife has done the same things as I have, and she has lost zero pounds. So what has worked for me hasn't benefited her in the weight loss department. Best of luck

I didn't eat for seven days starting on Easter this year. I've never felt more full life than when I was completely empty of food. I worked as a waiter, cooked for my daughter, worked out every morning, day traded 5 days, snowboarded twice, took my daughter out to eat, sauna 4 times, hot tub 4 times, cold plunge 4 times and the list is longer. My sight, smell, and hearing all became much sharper. Skin was softer, eye lids raised up. And now I have a tool in my back pocket I can pull out at any time which allows me to not eat for a day and I feel no hunger. Amazing!

Dr. Ekberg, since August 2 of 2022, I have been watching your UA-cam videos and have closely followed your intermittent dieting guidance.
    1) I've stopped eating sugar. I haven't been able to be 100% sugar free, but have consistently been very low sugar.
    2) I've eliminated most processed foods out of my diet. Again, not 100%, but close.
    3) I've eliminated all breakfasts from my eating routine. I eat two meals every 6 hours: lunch between 12pm and 1pm and supper between 6pm and 7pm.
    4) I've done several 3-day and 2-day fasts and 1-meal days.
Since August of 2022, I have lost 23.5 kilograms (just shy of 52 lbs). At the beginning, I weighed 98.7 Kgs. Now I weigh under 75 kgs. I haven't been sick with anything except allergies since that time, and the effects of the allergies are much less. Also, my body odor is much less pungent. As a result of mouth cancer (tongue tumor) in 2020, I do not drink any alcohol, and I do not miss it! (I also don't smoke cigarettes or use other drugs.)
THANK YOU, Dr. Ekberg, for giving me a new happy and healthy way of living!
Advice to comment readers: It is important to keep exercising during weight loss. I had some back pain and stiffness as a result of losing too much weight too fast.

My mom is a dietician who finished her college about 30 years ago and when I told her that I am going right now through my second 5-day fast this year she told me to go for a head scan instead of trying to fix my metabolism. I started watching you, Dr. Ekberg, I think about a year ago and I started creating a great plan with reasonings. Of course I'm not hyper-strict and ascetic but through your advices and videos I created a set of rules that helped me steadily lose 15kg in last 6-7 months and I hope the fast I'm going through will help me with the plateau. Everything, connected with exercises, is helping me to get myself into a better shape before hitting my thirties. The great guidance, physical activit and knowing your body leads to better life (gotta get myself a ketone meter). Great video as always and thank you for all the effort you put into your content. I always skip breakfast because am just not hungry till about 1pm. I've not had any added sugar, bread or processed carbs and follow a keto diet. Avocado, 100% peanut butter and eggs are now my go too. I can't overeat either, once I've eaten am satisfied and don't crave anything. Thank you for making these videos, you truly a life saver.

    1. How much water do you drink during 100 hours fasting? How many glasses of water did you drink per day?
    2. Do you exercise or work out during 100 hours fasting?
    3. How is your sleep during 100 hours fasting? Could you get good sleep without cravings interruption at night?

    5. Did you go to work as normal during 100 hours fasting?
    6. Did you lose muscle mass?
    7. Did you change your mood during this 100 hours fasting? Ex: more angry or aggressive etc

      1. Drink water if you are thirsty.
      2. Light exercise, as a couple of push-ups won't hurt but is not needed.
      3. If you come from a high carbohydrate diet it can be rough on sleep. If you are eating low carb, it for me improved my sleep.
      4. 100 hours is not enough to think about how you break a fast. But eat lean protein in moderation the first day after the fast and you will be good. Don't go mental with a pizza, you will feel horrible.
      5. I did a 5 almost 6 days fast and i was working 14-16 hour shifts as a waiter in a restaurant. My energy was amazing and my head was clear as never before. When i came home i was so hyped at day 4 i started doing some push-ups.
      6. I don't know, but nothing to worry about in such a short fast.
      7. Mood was significantly improved, i had purpose and was smiling thinking about the future.
But i had been doing keto for more than a year with no cheat, I can't say for people coming from high carb diets straight to fast.

I've never gone past 64 hours, but am seriously considering it though. I think the hardest part about fasting for me is it's kind of boring. Day 3 I add a little more fat trying to eat around 1000 kcal with a 50/50 protein to fat ratio.
Day 4 I add another 500 kcal and move the kcal to 1500 with a 60/40 fat/protein ratio.

This video misses an essential part: How did you feel during those 100 hours? Did you feel hungry or weak? Did you have trouble to concentrate, to work out or to do physical work? How was your digestion?
When I fast for 24+ hours, I have episodes of hunger that come and go, after 30 hours I clearly feel weaker and fade out, when I stand up quickly. When I work out, my high intensity performance drops.
BUT: inflammation goes back. I have a chronic Achilles tendon pain that completely goes away during longer fasts.
Beside longer fasts maybe once every two months, I make OMAD 6 days a week.
Btw. It is easy to get enough food in OMAD, very easy.

    Tips
    - Start a fast when you are in ketosis, it's soooo much easier as you're not fighting your carb cravings.
    - Either don't workout, or workout when you have someone who can help keep you on track. Because most likely you'll get a hunger spike.
    - It doesn't hurt but it can be annoying as sometimes your flesh will constantly beg for food for long stretches at a time. But if you have someone there
to keep you on track it is super easy. By yourself, it's a big challenge.

@@dianatrans1804 I already did 6 days (one time only) a while ago. But 5 days I have done a few times in the past two years. But 3 days is really very good. It feels majestic somehow. The achievement gives you a sense of conquering yourself and that feels good. I drink water and black coffee!

@@elezraita wooow!! I know how that feels!! You feel proud and good but a voice starts entering your mind that says “you have done enough, you can be satisfied”! The most difficult part for me is to be moderate when I start eating again. I know that I should limit myself to a full soup and/or shrimps. So I have to work on controlling myself after that!!
      I wish you strength!!!

@@mikecreativision Hmmmm....I'd dispute that, never felt crap, dizzy or weak during it including walking and some cycling. Inefficient use of ketones usually happens to newbies- their pee shows up high levels at the beginning and that tapers off once they are used by the body. I'd expect my levels to be very high as there's nothing(food) coming in to buffer the levels, it's verging on starvation....but you've never gone that far presumably anyway.

I watch, enjoy, and get great information with all your videos. Especially the series where you do or don't do something for a specific amount of days/time, and see how it actually affects the body.
I was hoping you can do a video, with a little different spin.
You keep eating your healthy diet and compare before and after blood tests but you do a workout from 1-1 1/2 hrs. 5 times per week (one week), of aerobic exercise in Zone 2 (60%-70%) of your maximum heart rate. Any excercise run, bike, swim etc. This might show any correlation with continuous, extended cardiovascular sustained excercise and improved mitochondria at the cellular level when the before and after bloodwork, is compared from exercise not diet.

I always say I fast for Autophagy but now I know The rest of the story. Lately I had the best 5 day fast ever. The weight goes off and comes back usually BUT of the 9lbs off only 4 came back. I think this fast didn’t have a frenzy re-eating problem “At all”. I’m 76 and live in a over 55 apartment and I was just at a “ meet your neighbor “ coffee party. They were in a friendly manner offering me a Doughnut, and said one won’t hurt. I tried not to get excited but did say what do you have against me. Ha ha ha ( thoughts planted). They all see me ride my electric Unicycle around or walk all over town. Major topic, I call my health my hobby.

This is great, very, VERY reassuring and helpful. I'm a keen extended faster but I'd worried a bit about low blood sugar levels, my recent lowest (after 13 days) being 3.0 mmol with ketones 5.4 mmol, GKI 0.56. I was feeling great the whole time but it's nice to hear some confirmation. I still have about 56 lbs to lose which is why I've been doing it. For me the big challenge is maintaining my summer weight loss through the winter months.

Bone and vegetable broth. You get all the needed nutrition back into your body without the fiber or bulk that will cause digestive issues. Yet it is enough to re- start your digestion so you can eat something a bit more substantial an hour or two later. This is when I usually have a small portion of Salmon.
