Lol at some people complaining complaining about the Sentra's performance as if they were expecting it to be like the BMW 3-Series. It's a Sentra. People buy it for the inexpensive price, fuel economy and reliability. It gets you from point A to point B. It looks upscale when compared to other cars in it's class. It has, what I believe to be the biggest backseat leg room comparable to mid-size cars and the biggest trunk in it's class. It's a bargain.
***** Yeah your right guys its bargain!!! same size w/ the mid-size sedan, I have 2014 Nissan Sentra SR w/ premium package w/ sunroof, bose sound system & navigation, I have no complain about the performance I used it for more than one year & it's Ok, I got 34-35mpg combined in normal mode, in Eco-mode more than that, but if you want more performance & better acceleration you can put it to sport mode but it consume much gas.
Exactly! People get on here expecting the Sentra to do a 0-60 in 4 seconds. Fuck outta here this isn't a performance car whatsoever. But you'll have those broke boys Tryna rice it up, unfortunately 😂
Marshall Street the reliability on mines was garbage, the car failed after 4 months off the lot, thank god my fiance talked me into buying carmax extended warranty and everything was fixed and came out close to $4k but free to me since I bought the warranty.
TiTaN Energy hello could u tell me if that car did the same thing as mine,i just bought this 2 weeks ago ,when i'm down a hill and feels like it is driving in L not in D like changing noise a little and feels when it is a hybrid car but the difference this one make more noise ,can that be because is a ECO car ? Please if u could answer it would be nice
I have a 2013 Sentra. Great gas mileage. Really fine interior leg room. The sound system is good for me. I've never had a CVT on a car before, but I can't see any problem. I'm a careful driver, so what does it matter if it gets to 60 in 9.5, rather than 6 seconds? It doesn't matter to me. Incidentally, I do not get a hard on every time I see a high performance vehicle or a humongous truck.
ive had this car for 8 now and it has been very reliable very few problems with it. Definitely recommend I think it'll last me another 2-3 year im at 250,000 kilometres
I'm not bothered by engine noise and I like good CVTs because from an objective point of view, they usually give you stronger fuel economy AND acceleration. I think car reviewers nowadays are really nitpicking about noise, but I'm not a fan of hush-hush cars because if you're going at high speeds in a 3000lb metal and glass capsule, I don't think it should feel like you're sitting in your living room.
motomusiq hello could u tell me if that car did the same thing as mine,i just bought this 2 weeks ago ,when i'm down a hill and feels like it is driving in L not in D like changing noise a little and feels when it is a hybrid car but the difference this one make more noise ,can that be because is a ECO car ? I have one too. just flush the CVT transmission every 30k miles and it'll last forever. people always complaining about their CVT transmission acting up because they never service it
The CVTs on the 2013-2015 Sentra are awful. They are bound to fail at some point and it cost $4k-$5k to replace them if you're not covered under warranty. I sold my Sentra as fast as possible because the cvt in the car was just horrible
My Mom has a 2009 Sentra. Very basic car and merely an appliance but it's been very reliable. One thing I've noticed with 2007 and up compact cars vs compact cars from 10 years before that is that they're more refined than before which is a definite plus. Also, build quality is good considering it's made in Mexico.
Thanks for your videos, as a sales professional I use your opinions (and others like it ) as a consumers mindset, likes and dislikes! You do a very professional job, some of the best! Good job!
I just purchased this car 4 days ago! Same color! Rides great! I don’t drive fast anyway n I’m good on getting oil n transmission fluid flushes. I feel any car is u take care it will last.
My mom test drove a Sentra when she was looking to purchase a new car because we were curious. She wasn't sure if she should downgrade to a compact car or stick with a midsize. I liked the interior and styling on it. However, I felt it was noisy, underpowered, and the seats were quite uncomfortable. Happily she ended up with a '13 Accord EX sedan which she has been very happy with.
emil sponga i would drive this car because i like it a lot, way better than the past gen and who gives a shit about a cvt? it's better than a completely outdated 4 speed auto and yes, some cars even till this day they have a 4 speed auto
"Most true driving enthusiasts wouldn't drive this car. " And who cares about driving enthusiasts? Most people are commuters and just want to get from A to B comfortably and with as little drama as possible. The Sentra does that just fine.
Having said that, I like that Sofyan really pushes the cars to their limits in his reviews because most other reviewers on youtube don't like to do that. And, if he didn't, the character of a car is not really going to show and every car would just sort of seem the same!
I bought the S with the 6 spd manual and found it a good city driver - peppy and good handling with a firm suspension. I averaged 33 MPG US or 7.1 L/100 km over 12 months.
complain complain all you..your worst then women u want a sports car go buy one it's a GAS Saver you all think u should get 200 hp outta of a car that's economy saver but when gas goes to 3.49 a gallon see. how much u will like that car.
Agreed. My 2014 is on 84K miles, no engine or transmission problems. I've spent a total of $1,500 in repairs over the last 5 years, which is pretty much a win in my book
tedbarrusDeletedVideosX1 I own one not one problem or noisy at that it's not racer rember that I love it you must be still in antique world of transmission... the ones that always shift hard no matter what u do... look in the junkyard at how many there are cause of the old style trans, so I think this is a new generation to new beginning of CVT transmission.
The Sentra has most definitely gone from a run-of-the-mill, basic economy car to a fun-to-drive, fuel-sipping compact sedan that is worthy of competing with the likes of the Hyundai Elantra and Mazda 3, both of which are class leaders! (:
Ive read a lot of people complaining about the cot transmissions on this car. If you want to get this car your best bet would be to get the manual transmission version not this one with a cvt. Unfortunately you can't get this model the sr model with a manual transmission only the standard version comes with it. Over all I own the SL version with a cvt and it is too under powered and disappointed with the lack of horsepower it cries out for. I understand a fast car can be dangerous to drive but a slow car on the high way or street is also dangerous especially when you need to switch into a lane pretty quick and you have a fast approaching car coming from behind you and you want to floor it but the power isn't there can be dangerous and disappointing. The cvt transmission and the lack of horsepower are my only concerns for this car.
I have an SV version of it. Bought it used, and I gotta say, I like the looks, but not build quality. Been nothing but problems in all 7 years of ownership. Paid thousands for repairs. One of them was both front control arms. Ended up paying $1500+ dollars, aside from multiple sensors that needed to be replaced, brake cylinders broke, struts and shocks went out, suspension still creaking after multiple more parts replaced. CVT is acting up, and I always change the fluid for it at every 40k miles. I don’t count fluid flushes. Currently I will take it in for an AC Repair, because it doesn’t work in hot summer. Absolutely will have to spend $1000+ if not more. Heat shields fell off, resonator broke, catalytic converter had to be replaced, muffler rotted out, holes appeared. Will have to get Honda or a Toyota next time. The funny thing is, this car has been a rental and has been in a wreck that I had noticed too late. Had 2 extra minor accidents because drivers in MA don’t look where they’re going and also full of illegals driving around where they don’t understand street signs and traffic lights. Talk about bad luck. I honestly am afraid on getting a new car, because of these crazies running red lights, not yielding, blowing stop signs and much more. More rubbish on the road thanks to stupid politicians. Was totally different years ago, now it’s chaos. I honestly pray I get my family home safely while driving. On top of a money pit of a car, have to deal with fools who don’t care how they drive. Just horrible.
I had a 2007 Altima 2.5 S years ago which I bought used as well with 36k miles & drove it for four years & it did have some problems as well such as some buttons sometimes not working, the radio display would fade during hot weather, the a/c blower motor had to be replaced at only around 50k miles as well as the CVT at 54k miles. Besides that car I've purchased all Toyota/Lexus vehicles & none of them have ever had any problems as expected. Will never ever buy another Nissan.
Hey Sofyan! Thanks for the video, it sounds like you're feeling a bit under the weather. Hope you feel better soon! Now can you tell me this: Is there something about this car that makes the owner drive aggressively? I swear every day I get a Sentra 2 feet off my bumper at 55 mph, and I seriously doubt the brakes on the Sentra will stop it faster than my car, so I'm just waiting to get rear-ended. From your review it seems like it would make you drive slowly, it's certainly no sports car by any means, and not exciting or engaging from what I can tell. Merry Christmas!
I sure have been sick all week, with the changing weather and flu going around it was bound to happen. Thanks for noticing though, my voice was returning so I figured it was time to film something. I honestly thought this car felt quick, eager, and peppy especially when you hit the "sport" button. I don't usually see Sentra's being driven aggressively, at least not in this area. Hope you have a Merry Christmas as well and thanks for watching :)
Got this for a rental car. Love the styling and the dash is great. Will miss it when we return it. The only thing is the engine in our rental is really underwhelming compared to our 2012 kia forte. But that may be partially because of the cvt
Hey man can nice review i love to see your reviews their great! Best in class. Can you some how do a 1993 nissan maxima gxe? Lol old car but thats my ride
UGH, my mother has this car and HATE IT. When driving you really can't "feel" the road. I mean its a very comfortable ride, but that's about it. Id rather drive my 2001 Sentra GXE over the new ones ANY day.
I own a Nissan tiida 2015 GCC. Very nice car with cvt transmission but a bit worried about the reliability of this cvt. when you drive like 120km the engine is very silent I love it. Thanks Nissan
What Nissan needs to do is make a NISMO version out of this, throw out the CVT and replace it with a good 6 speed manual and bring the car here to Europe!
Does anyone know if this car runs smooth? I have the 2011 Altima and it feels like I'm floating when I drive, I love it. I'm thinking about switching to this car so I'm curious
I have a question, I bought a brand new 2014 Sentra two weeks ago. It has less than 1100 miles on it now and I'm noticing some vibration and a low growl sound when in low RPMs. It happens when reversing and in drive. But disappears when it reaches about 2000-2500 RPMs. Is this normal? I don't recall this happening when I test drove it and can't recall it happening the first few days I had it.
I had the same concern with my 2014 Sentra, about a month after I bought it. Despite the vibrations and noises, I still drove it like normal. When I took my car in for an oil change, the dealer ran an inspection and they said everything was fine.
+Mallory Leath thats what you get for buying a CVT transmission. theyre weird and unreliable. as much as Im a 100% hyper-miler trying to achieve best gas mileage ever, ITS NOT WORTH IT. Id rather get 4 mpgs less and simply use a 6-speed Automatic. proven technology, won't break down for no reason. won't make weird un-settling noises coming from the car.
+nukka200 proven technology is perhaps the correct term ...yes cvt transmission is a nightmare, coming from nissan is even more sigh of worry as it lost its reputation of making quality vehicles earlier and now when they have finally managed to attain quality status, they are making horrible cvt's
I like your reviews, but they'd be a lot better if you didn't drive every car like a race car. It's almost like you're trying to give a bad impression of each car. Of course it's noisy if you floor it every time you accelerate. The motor is gruff and unpleasant sounding though. I had one as a rental for a week and was very disappointed how the engine sounded compared to the 1.6L in my Versa, which is much smoother sounding. Odd.
He gives reviews for people who LIKE cars. Not the car appliance crowd who only care about gas mileage and seat comfort for their fat asses. This car is a piece of shit, I've spend enough time in it to know, especially the CVT. It's like riding a rubber band. Give it gas.. nothing, nothing.. 3000 RPM!
SeverdSeouL Well, you seem to think you know what you're talking about, but you don't. There is no point in driving an uncomfortable car. I have no desire to waste my money making oil companies rich. Looks alone are not enough to make for a good car. It's an economy car, not a sports car, with only 130hp. I think you're perception is a bit warped and unrealistic.
SeverdSeouL you really are dumb... Aren't you. This isn't meant to be a car race. Its a Economy car. For the Lower Middle Class person or for a first car.
palebeachbum true that. I test drove a cvt and i didn't like the sound when you step on the gas hard but that's just me. I went with the 6mt and it sounds awesome. You can hear how the 6mt sound on my channel, i got 2 videos up.
If Jeep has the worst CVT, I wonder how it compares to the 2003-04 Saturn ION Quad Coupe. I had a 2004 and it had a tendancy to sometimes hesitate if you give it plenty of gas from a stop.
I don't think it is a good first car. The first time my driving school showed up with that car not the Corolla I found out the oversized break pedal got in the way of my thick heeled modern sneakers. My foot got stuck and I slowed down too much on the highway, very dangerous. These are the same sneakers I had been wearing in the Corolla. Road test day, I new they wouldn't honer my request for the Corolla. I made sure I was wearing my very flat Converse sneakers. It helped. Sat a bit close though
yeah but the Navigation from before or the previous generation Nav if you will was tiny! it was like half the size of this one. AND the Altima has an even bigger Nav display than this one, and obvi the Maxima, Pathfinder, & Murano have a bigger one too or maybe same size as Altima
I drove a 2007 Altima 2.5 S for 4 years & got rid of it last year cause it had CVT & battery problems. I replaced it with a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6. Best decision I've ever made! I like the new Mazda 6 & would have checked one out if it offered a V6.
I have a 2013 altima and I'm disappointed in the fit/finish and quality. Already had to have it towed to the dealer. I won't be buying another nissan product.
Yes I was looking for a car in this class I wanted a white sporty one just like this!!! But it was so Slow!!!!!!!!! I couldn't live with this I went with a 2013 taffeta white civic ex
i have a 2016 sentra and my ONLY complaint is the cvt like what the fuck were they thinking? the car feels like its gonna break everytime i go to work and come home, nonsense i tell you! lol
EKFiPod I could get used to that. Can't get used to the CVT grenading at low mileage, the poor dealer support ('they all do that'). Can't get used to the CVT wasting seconds spinning the engine to nosebleed rpms before hooking up with the wheels.

Nice looking car, sat in one at the L.A. Auto Show last year, but it's disappointing how noisy it is! My 2007 Altima is much quieter!
Does anyone know if this car runs smooth? I have the 2011 Altima and it feels like I'm floating when I drive, I love it. I'm thinking about switching to this car so I'm curious
Did you switch? Let me know what it’s like. I’m about to get it as my first car
The real world mpg actually isn't that impressive
I have a question, I bought a brand new 2014 Sentra two weeks ago. It has less than 1100 miles on it now and I'm noticing some vibration and a low growl sound when in low RPMs. It happens when reversing and in drive. But disappears when it reaches about 2000-2500 RPMs. Is this normal? I don't recall this happening when I test drove it and can't recall it happening the first few days I had it.
it will happen from time to time, I've had mine for 2 years now. It's perfectly normal.
I had the same concern with my 2014 Sentra, about a month after I bought it. Despite the vibrations and noises, I still drove it like normal. When I took my car in for an oil change, the dealer ran an inspection and they said everything was fine.
Uuuwww
+Mallory Leath thats what you get for buying a CVT transmission. theyre weird and unreliable. as much as Im a 100% hyper-miler trying to achieve best gas mileage ever, ITS NOT WORTH IT. Id rather get 4 mpgs less and simply use a 6-speed Automatic. proven technology, won't break down for no reason. won't make weird un-settling noises coming from the car.
+nukka200 proven technology is perhaps the correct term
...yes cvt transmission is a nightmare, coming from nissan is even more sigh of worry as it lost its reputation of making quality vehicles earlier and now when they have finally managed to attain quality status, they are making horrible cvt's
in the foreign models, this car is called the sylphy and there are back aircon
“Reminds me of the Infiniti” gee wonder why
Wanna see me blow a bubble out my butt
Brandon Dove Yes please 😋
@@itsjimsley wtf wtf wtf wierdchamp
Im going to buy my first car and im considering this Sentra trim model and the 2013 Honda Civic EX. Which one will be my best option?
What did you get?
Man just thought purchase the 2012. But this 2013 is sweet too. Same color.
Wow its weird seeing the old first person video format again. It's silly how the led lights in the headlights only come on with the main lights.
Is this a good starter car? Really thinking about getting one
Trey Johnson I like mine alot
If Jeep has the worst CVT, I wonder how it compares to the 2003-04 Saturn ION Quad Coupe. I had a 2004 and it had a tendancy to sometimes hesitate if you give it plenty of gas from a stop.
Thankfully, GM replaced the CVT in the Saturn with a conventional automatic.
Thinking about buying one
Ivaniel Martinez do not buy this ,just have one 2 weeks ago
Ivaniel Martinez after this one i will never buy
a nissan ,unless if is rogue 2015 and up ,or these pathfinders recent ones
i would get this sentra over the new corolla lmao..
i was wondering if you could do a review of this car with paddle shifters
yeah but the Navigation from before or the previous generation Nav if you will was tiny! it was like half the size of this one. AND the Altima has an even bigger Nav display than this one, and obvi the Maxima, Pathfinder, & Murano have a bigger one too or maybe same size as Altima
I had a 2013 Nissan Sentra and hated it. I traded it for a 2016 Mazda 6. Will never buy Nissan again.
+abd al I hated the cvt transmission and also the car was just cheap.
+abd al How do you compare a economy car to a sports car? lol
different class of cars.
Nissan's are good cars
I drove a 2007 Altima 2.5 S for 4 years & got rid of it last year cause it had CVT & battery problems. I replaced it with a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6. Best decision I've ever made! I like the new Mazda 6 & would have checked one out if it offered a V6.
Wow that CVT is funny how it sounds.
+Robert Schneider Sounds the same way as you look
When u r reviewing can u slow down I get dizzy and I'm being serious
Dude, can you make a review of the nissan sentra s version with 6speed manual?
I have a 6mt review on my channel. I don't have all those camera angles and such but it's good enough to show you the basics and driveability
People search Nissan Sentra Nismo Concept and stop complaining.
When I am 15 should I get a versa or sentra
Does the CVT have a dip stick?
i rather have the 2013 toyota corolla s 5 speed manual vs this sentra.
2013 Nissan sentra "CVT" transmission broke down at 58,000 miles.
What happen to it?
you probably drive like it's a race car and didn't follow the break in period.
+Chevy sucks no, the CVT's are horrible transmissions and it's either you have a good one or a bad one.
Nice car. Would love to test drive it.
+Donna Ramsay Its awesome, i have the 2014 one. loving it
i have a 2016 sentra and my ONLY complaint is the cvt like what the fuck were they thinking? the car feels like its gonna break everytime i go to work and come home, nonsense i tell you! lol
Can anyone comment on this car's reliability??Thanks
I don't understand how they can claim such high MPG numbers when the engine is allowed to rev up so high!
It doesn't scream like that unless you're pushing it hard, in which case you will get poor fuel economy.
Y U NO MANUAL
Please review the new maZda 3 sedan :D
Does everyone just come on here to complain and be whiny? 😂
Please test Kia Soul 2014...
Mazda 3 is the best choice for this segment
Eric T Mazda is very sensible to RUST.
+Eric T The mazda 3 excells in every single area except comfort. horrible seats, just horrible
must be weird not feeling the car shift gears
EKFiPod I could get used to that. Can't get used to the CVT grenading at low mileage, the poor dealer support ('they all do that'). Can't get used to the CVT wasting seconds spinning the engine to nosebleed rpms before hooking up with the wheels.
The way the cvt sounds i would even press the gas pedal i feel it will break
2:58 StartUp
🐐
Need to bring spec v back
Who needs a Spec-V when they could potentially make a NISMO version of it? Hope it checks out and get put into production.
It's coming. Not sure if they're gonna badge it as se-r or as Nismo but it's in the works. Can't wait!
Should i get this or 2009 Lamborghini gallardo for my first car?
$20..
worst car ever owned . always transmission problem. I drove this car more to the mechanic than to work
I don't think I can get used to the CVT sound
Please test Nissan Titan 2014...
