Stop making fun of his lisp. I think it's cute and I admire his bravery in trying to do a car review :) You go man, do whatever makes you happy and don't let others get you down :) Peace
I love my Civic I get up, click the car starter before going to work and within 4 min. my windows are defogged, my seat is warm, and my morning audio book is already playing. It's safe but also does not look boring inside as well as on the exterior styling ..unlike the Sentra ,plus when was the last time you saw a good looking perfectly modded Nissan Sentra on the road 😜
i see the sentra pushed more towards a conservative side saying, its plain jane has things you need & not so "showy". Now the civic to me has always been a younger persons type of car most everyone i know that has a civic is either young an tried to pimp their ride or is old an doesn't drive much anyway. so there's my two cents..
I own Honda civic and if I change it definitely would pick up civic again. It is just the most reliable and fastest in its class. Also very fun driving. Nissan cars lose their price and they have weaker engines. I hate it when you push the gas the engine just cries.. Also those hating the guy because of being lisp just stupid. Your kids can come out like that also..it's not his fault..He deserves more than any of you to work in this job..Allah bless him
Great review and comparison. My friends and I love Honda, but two of us bought a Sentra and a Corolla instead, lol. Nice to see that my Sentra holds up.
He's got more balls to go out and present to the world because he is not a shamed of it. Good for him, keep it up!! N for the ppl that dont like it, you dont have to see it. I applaud you my friend!
IIHS just released the small overlap crash test result for the 2013 Nissan Sentra, I was surprised it got a "Poor" rating, the new Sentra is a really good looking car, but I can only buy a car with at least an "Acceptable" rating, the 2013 Honda Civic received the HIGHEST "Good" Rating for the small overlap crash test, and for that reason the Civic is much safer than the Sentra, unless the Sentra would strengthen its chassis and get an acceptable rating, I would buy the Honda Civic instead.
This is like comparing apples and a rib-eye steak. Apples are healthier and cheap but steaks(honda) in the other hand, a little more expensive and better tasting.
I definitely like Sentra more than the civic. More room, push to start, Bose speakers, led head and tailights, plus nissans make a great cvts, I don't understand the hate on them, no hard shift points, no waiting for it to downshift, no dealing with the transmission hunting gears, plus they are efficient, and nissans CVT also automatically help with going down hills. Drove a '11 Altima for 2 months and I hated the cvt at first but I grew to love it. These reviews are extremely biased..
more space, better fuel economy and a quieter ride - what else you need from a family sedan Sentra wins. Other reviews say that sentra has the best interior.
+kashsoldier The Civic is more reliable, has a higher resale value, and is cheaper to own over 5 years. Not to mention you're not getting stuck with a very annoying and noisy CVT. The Civic is simply the better choice.
Yea, I got the Sentra SR model with the body kit (exterior) and carbon fiber accents (interior). It looks much better than the SL model and has a majority of the same features.
Ok the enterior of the sentra is a lot of beige in it but it doesn't look ugly at all plus theres also black enterior as well I have the new Sentra SL but with black interior and I think it looks amazing and luxury looking
I don't care what anyone says about the new Honda Civic! I friggen love it! I test drove it today and the steering is amazing! It's heavy and responsive just the way I like it! The leather seats I test drove in were amazingly comfortable and it's interior is hands down the best! I could see myself driving this every day. I also like the econo option which helps with gas mileage, but I prefer driving it with regular. I'm gonna get the Honda Civic Touring with a sunroof and a optional spoiler, and in all black! I can't wait to get rid of my 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix! As much as that car meant to me, it was heavy on gas! But I won't forget the memories I had in that car with road trips with friends! I will miss ya Pontiac Grand Prix! The new Civic is the better option guys! If you want a fun, awesome design that will last a long time, the 2014 Civic is the way to go!
The thumbnail is appropriate: the Civic leaves the entire Nissan line in the dust. I've had a 2016 Versa Note before and it's nothing like my 2013 Civic LX. Pure fun to drive.
Yea baby, I just got a new 2013 Honda Civic EX after trading my old ugly looking 2012 Honda Civic EX, nice design, great fuel economy, great parts, great sexy aggressive looking car. Go Honda!!!
I really like the new look of the new sentra, but the technology in the civic is really great. If I was choosing between these two it would be a tough choice for me.... I got to say though... I don't know if I could deal with that 130-140 HP engine. My 2010 accord has 177 HP, and my mom's 2014 maxima has 290 HP. The maxima makes my accord very weak and slow. I cannot imagine a civic or a sentra. xD
power ratings mean nothing without curb weight. Acceleration is power vs weight. Unfortunately the Sentra is down on both power and weight. That's how you get 39MPG. I doubt either one of those cars you mentioned get over 25mpg highway.
Except the fact that I drove a 2013 honda civic, but it's true that it's based on curb weight, but I can assure you that my 2010 accord is faster than a regular civic. But my honda accord gets 31 highway, maxima on the other hand gets 26 highway. But the mpg. Depends on how you drive as well. I can get 34 mpg driving mostly highway and some city. If I were to drive "faster" I get 28 mpg. The maxima. I got an average mpg of 23.5 since I tend to drive faster in that car. Driving both city and highway. But the accord and the maxima, is not like an SUV, or a minivan that is a lot "heavy".
Apples to oranges really. The midsize cars weigh more, cost more, and get less MPG (except the 39MPG Altima....) for marginal increases in elbow room. The Sentra is basically a midsize car in a compact body with a very fuel efficient engine and transmission. If I want fast I'll buy a $28K WRX sedan and smoke all the cars mentioned.
the only way they get those highway ratings is by become a 3 cyl engine when your foots off the accelerator (cylinder shutoff). In normal driving they're going to get 25mpg unless you live in a flat land and use cruise control. The Altima is the only midsize with combined MPG ratings in the mid-30s. Mainly because CVT.
The SR has no wood, and has a nice charcoal interior. They tested the 'old man' edition aka the SL which is the only way you can get leather seating surfaces. After having leather in a multitude of cars, I'll pass on leather in this segment.
Hands-down the Nissan Sentra all day! This video was prejudge for the Honda Civic from the beginning there must be some type of outside influence because the Sentra has a lot of perks compared to the Honda Civic.
+felandojr Sorry, but the Sentra is a JOKE compared with the Civic... Just look at that weak engine output, and trust me, 10 HP make a huge difference... Mechanically, the Civic is SUPERIOR, from the gearbox (not it has a better CVT) to the engine and the suspension, full indepedent, while the Sentra has a cheap torsion bar... In terms of performance and safety, the Civic is KING... Keep it in mind!!
+BORFU Hahahah unsecure? hahahah you wish, kid... Sorry, the only one trying to justify his weak and boring car is you... Dude, a Civic is one of the cars with most aftermarket accessories and performance parts in the market, you cant say the same about your Sentra... Why should feel not so sure about my car, if the Civic puts a smile in the face of anyone who drives it... The Civic is a car that it is always news and gets so much attention, and none of its generations is forgetable... Who remembers the 1996 Sentra? NO ONE! Ask for the 1996 Civic and you'll find many of them still running and still very loved... and BTW, if you dont look for descent power in your next car, then you dont know what is driving a responsive car, that doesnt need to revs up too much to keep the pace in the highway... Power is not to race only, but for a smooth driving, specially in the highway... at least I am not the sluggish one hahahaah... I leave you with that...
How is that Sentra interior ugly? It's the more classy of the two, and every review states that it is very premium in feel, with high quality materials used everywhere you look, and that back seat has more room than cars in the mid-size segment. The Thivic interior looks nice too, though, but that exterior is weird looking with therrible proportions and those ugly mirrors.
Have you seen the grill on that Sentra? Looks like they put a lot of thought into those lazy, horizontal bars. And the faux wood interior? The heck were they thinking...
Not everyone hates the cvt..i've been driving manual and auto my first 5 years and currently owning an altima 2013 altima 2.5, so far i never had an issue and im loving the way the cvt works in terms of acceleration and mpg,,and i still have my older civic which is pretty reliable too.
My friend got the 2013 civic and i sat in it, the interior is even worse looking in person..Sentra's interior in black looks way better, these guys just love honda
I think it depends on who you ride with. We have dual-zone climate in our 2009 Mazda 6i Grand Touring and it is very nice when your passenger has their heated-seat on and their side set to 80 degrees when it is like 90 outside. lol
hmmm do tell. i got 9k from the dealer for my 09 HB Versa with 80k miles. only thing i did to it was regular oil changes, break "adjustment" and new tires. every mechanic literally said they were "pissed because they couldnt find anything wrong" sounds like resale and reliability to me. dont let your biased opinion get the best of you
Any car is reliable as long as you take care of it. My dad's Nissan has 400+k miles and still runs great. It's a Sentra 88' my friends Dodge Neon is 250+k and also runs strong, has only the normal wear and tear.
Me too, just bought a 2013 civic lx on sunday. When trying to buy a new car other manufacturers besides honda as stupid packages to their cars to bring up the cost. When I visited nissan, mazda, etc I couldn't find a bare bones base model to buy. It's always base model with factory added features that make it more expensive than honda. It's always base model body with navigation or base moel with alloy wheels with brings the cost up over the civic while having less features.
My opinion on the exteriors. The Civic has a Younger more sporty feel. The Sentra is a more upper class businessman kinda look. More refined for an older individual. I like the more mature look of the Sentra. But i prefer the sleek more agressive look the civic has. Really between these cars it comes down to what you like more. If your going to argue price then compare the features both cars have at bottom dollar. If your going to argue fuel economy. I'd expect the same between them.
You read my mind. People, like myself, don't buy economy cars because we're looking for performance. We're looking for a low price, high MPGs, and the most comfortable interior possible (seat comfort, interior room, road/engine/wind noise). They're both nice compacts sedans. They're just two different flavors. Civic is a little sportier, Sentra is a little cushier.
No,we do have 2013 Civic, and if you believe there is "improvement" in the interior, you should check your Kia..,Citroen or..Opel dealership!! I was shaked to the bones today when i saw Kia ProCeed, and it looked faar more expensive and solid even than Accord!!! And i drive Accord and i love it!! Door handles,buttons,displays,materials...where it is plastic,it feels good and soft,leather-like..,when its aluminum,it is aluminum, not fake grey plastic like in Honda!! Where its chrom,it is chrom..
I believe that the Sentra needs oil changes at every 3,750 miles. The Civic needs oil changes based on the engine's assessment of oil life. The dealer recommended oil changes every 5,000 miles so I am guessing I can go to 7,000 or 8,000. That is huge for someone like me who drives 30K miles a year. You would think they could have mentioned that!
Just came back from the Honda dealership in Helsinki,Finland and driving myself Honda(i love Honda) I was amazed from how chap plastics were used all over the interior!!! The door openers, the dash, central console..,all covered in fake,aluminum-alike cheap plastics!!! I mean despite the modern lights and modern dashboard gadgets, its plain crap! ......
If I am WRONG let me know. The 2012 Civic will be a unique vehicle for its one year only interior and exterior styling. The last time there was only 1 year between style changes was back before 1980. For the people that bought the 2012 model and paid about the same as the 2013 I would really be pissed off. But they can also say how unique their cars are.
I'm liking the Sentra more. Sure the Civic is a little more powerful, but come on, neither is a meant to be a racing machine. The Sentra has a nicer, classier interior while the Civic looks a little gimmicky with all the buttons everywhere. Overall, I love the new look of the Sentras, especially the SR model, while the Civic basically looks the same as every other one on the road from years prior.
Nissan is unreliable crap, I've had the unfortunate pleasure of driving two of there cars, and the 2013 Sentra is one of them. Less than 10,000 KM and already has problems with electronics and the interior is falling apart.
I have been driving Nissan for over 8 years and my dad has been driving Nissan's for more than 20 years. Never had a problem with them, love their performance, and they just keep going (200000km +). Great cars that won't let you down.
One thing is certain the corolla is a piece and is ages behind the rest of the competition. luckily they're suppose to come out with a new generation soon.
the destination fee is the same for most cars its 700-800. Since the 2014 just came out it will be expensive wait a little longer like at the end of the year. With the civic you be needing a new transmission by 100k. Well at least the 99-2012. The new honda might be better, can't tell until it ages.
At first i though that too but if you compare the 2014 mazda3 to the honda civic and the specs it shows the mazda is bigger in every way. When compared to the 2013 sentra the sentra is bigger in almost everyway but not alot. The sentra is the heaviest, then the mazda3,then the civc. So the car that has a balance between all 3 cars has the most power and mpg i still think the mazda3 is the better one.Unless edmunds was wrong.Im not trying to be rude or obnoxious.
idk how you guys can say the sentra's interior is ugly. When it comes down to it the Sentra has more space, more equipment, cheaper, and better mpg so I would say that the winner is the sentra for most people.
I think the Civic is so nondescript looking, actually there is nothing good to say about the Civics exterior....I've seen better looking vacuum cleaners. That said it doesn't take away that mechanically the Civic is a sound car. Now on the other hand I think that the Sentra's exterior looks substantial and achieves an upscale look that's attractive especially at the price point.
Bought the Civic and don't regret it. Get 50MPG HWY!
@Jesiah Lincoln woah! two bots talking to each other like real life people
Stop making fun of his lisp. I think it's cute and I admire his bravery in trying to do a car review :) You go man, do whatever makes you happy and don't let others get you down :) Peace
Sentra looks like something my Grandma would drive. Civics where its at.
The new Civics are really nice. Huge improvement over the 2012 model.
I love my Civic I get up, click the car starter before going to work and within 4 min. my windows are defogged, my seat is warm, and my morning audio book is already playing. Spoiler alert: One of these cars ends up in the junkyard with a bad transmission, and the other runs like new 10 years later.
why are the top comments not about the cars.
Always buy Civics over anything else in the price range.

+Dillan Woodworth How can you not understand the hate on them? They're very noisy, very annoying, and give the throttle response a rubber feeling.
Stopped reading at nissan makes great cvts, I don't need anymore of your lies.
lol, nissan made worst CVTs than honda
more space, better fuel economy and a quieter ride - what else you need from a family sedan
Sentra wins. Other reviews say that sentra has the best interior.
+kashsoldier The Civic is more reliable, has a higher resale value, and is cheaper to own over 5 years. Not to mention you're not getting stuck with a very annoying and noisy CVT.

Remember that Pontiac man. You won't see Pontiacs a lot on the road now. (They were out of the car business in 2010)
If you bought a Sentra over a civic I feel bad for you 🤣🤣
How come we don't get the 17" tires as standard in the states?
I love honda civic it is awesome it works very good
I was surprised by the difference in the interior quality and look. Civic just looks so much better.
The thumbnail is appropriate: the Civic leaves the entire Nissan line in the dust. I've had a 2016 Versa Note before and it's nothing like my 2013 Civic LX. Pure fun to drive.
I bought the Sentra, 5 years later no problems at all, only routine maintenance. I pretty sure the Civic would of been great too.
I like the sentra more than the zzzzzziviccc
HELL NO YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY WTF
I agree with you
Civic.
Sentra is a rental bucket.
Yea baby, I just got a new 2013 Honda Civic EX after trading my old ugly looking 2012 Honda Civic EX, nice design, great fuel economy, great parts, great sexy aggressive looking car. Go Honda!!!

The Sentra is basically a midsize car in a compact body with a very fuel efficient engine and transmission. If I want fast I'll buy a $28K WRX sedan and smoke all the cars mentioned.
Take a look at the newer vehicles that are v6. They have incredible MpG ratings. V6 honda accord 2013 with 278 HP. Gets 21/34 mpg. For example. (:
the only way they get those highway ratings is by become a 3 cyl engine when your foots off the accelerator (cylinder shutoff). In normal driving they're going to get 25mpg unless you live in a flat land and use cruise control. The Altima is the only midsize with combined MPG ratings in the mid-30s. Mainly because CVT.
That idiot who commented on the Sentra's interior should be fired. He realizes some people like beige and wood right?
The SR has no wood, and has a nice charcoal interior. They tested the 'old man' edition aka the SL which is the only way you can get leather seating surfaces. After having leather in a multitude of cars, I'll pass on leather in this segment.
Isaac Fox exactly
I leave you with that...
got an sl trim black interior & it's not ugly.
What about the Sonota ??
Do a Nissan Sentra vs. Hyundai Elantra please!
Great review you guys!
Wow are you guys seriously making fun of his lisp? Grow up.
We're here for an opinion.
Whats with the low HP? the 2010 forte had 156 hp... even on the base, was a quick little thing.
What about the Mazda3?
Not everyone hates the cvt..i've been driving manual and auto my first 5 years and currently owning an altima 2013 altima 2.5, so far i never had an issue and im loving the way the cvt works in terms of acceleration and mpg,,and i still have my older civic which is pretty reliable too.
I like my CVT on my accord sport but Nissan is known to have a pretty weak CVT that breaks at not that high mileage
It is because of the light color of it, it makes the illusion of a much wider and cleaner interior.
I like the look of the Civic more. The Sentra is less sporty.
Nice review guys. Its surprising how many people will pay low to mid 20's for a compact when they can have a base mid size with nearly the same mpgs.
I like Nissan but I prefer Honda better
I'll choose Civic or Elantra if I have to buy a compact car
or Maybe... new Kia Forte
Half the comments are about the guy's lisp instead of the cars. Hahahaha
My friend got the 2013 civic and i sat in it, the interior is even worse looking in person..Sentra's interior in black looks way better, these guys just love honda
I love the sentra.
Already bought the 2013 Civic... but came here to laugh at the Sentra.
I think it depends on who you ride with. We have dual-zone climate in our 2009 Mazda 6i Grand Touring and it is very nice when your passenger has their heated-seat on and their side set to 80 degrees when it is like 90 outside. lol
Jimmy sprinkles is here lol, Just trolling, great review!
the civic looks better. i love what some chrome bits and new exterior lights could do. and the other reviewer sounds like beanz from even steevens. :p
SENTRA
LOL Corey! Best post ever!
hmmm do tell. i got 9k from the dealer for my 09 HB Versa with 80k miles.
only thing i did to it was regular oil changes, break "adjustment" and new tires. every mechanic literally said they were "pissed because they couldnt find anything wrong" sounds like resale and reliability to me. dont let your biased opinion get the best of you

Those older Nissans are better than the ones today
what happen to 1994 nissan supernova sleeper what happen
Me too, just bought a 2013 civic lx on sunday. When trying to buy a new car other manufacturers besides honda as stupid packages to their cars to bring up the cost. really would have to consider a base model of the Altima or accord for the price
Sentras are made in Mexico, whereas civics in Canda and US = Civic > Sentra
I know right! overall i love my sentra i think its perfect
Has the CVT held up?
The Civic is really nice
I like the Civic better tbh
No,we do have 2013 Civic, and if you believe there is "improvement" in the interior, you should check your Kia..,Citroen or..Opel dealership!! I was shaked to the bones today when i saw Kia ProCeed, and it looked faar more expensive and solid even than Accord!!! And i drive Accord and i love it!! Door handles,buttons,displays,materials...where it is plastic,it feels good and soft,leather-like..,when its aluminum,it is aluminum, not fake grey plastic like in Honda!! Where its chrom,it is chrom..
But Honda and Toyota don't have the 370z or GT-R.
JORGE ALEXANDER QUIÑONEZ MARTINEZ Was the Supra and Type R made when I commented this 5+ years ago? No, and the S2K is out of production
If the Civic had a 6 speed auto it would get better milage
I mean despite the modern lights and modern dashboard gadgets, its plain crap! ......
daffy duck is reviewing cars now?!!
Honda and Nissan are Toyotas Biggest rivals of Japan
+1 for not bringing the 2013 Toyota Corolla along for the ride.
If I am WRONG let me know. The 2012 Civic will be a unique vehicle for its one year only interior and exterior styling. The last time there was only 1 year between style changes was back before 1980. For the people that bought the 2012 model and paid about the same as the 2013 I would really be pissed off. But they can also say how unique their cars are.
great review
I'm liking the Sentra more. Sure the Civic is a little more powerful, but come on, neither is a meant to be a racing machine. The Sentra has a nicer, classier interior while the Civic looks a little gimmicky with all the buttons everywhere. Overall, I love the new look of the Sentras, especially the SR model, while the Civic basically looks the same as every other one on the road from years prior.
Witch is better over all, Honda or Nissan?
Nissan is unreliable crap, I've had the unfortunate pleasure of driving two of there cars, and the 2013 Sentra is one of them. Less than 10,000 KM and already has problems with electronics and the interior is falling apart.

I've had 5 nissans, going as far back as an 86/87 and never had any of them break down. Its all how people treat them.
I have been driving Nissan for over 8 years and my dad has been driving Nissan's for more than 20 years. Never had a problem with them, love their performance, and they just keep going (200000km +). Great cars that won't let you down.
Sorry guys. I meant the new Nissans. I know the old ones are pretty good.
Honda, I've had mine for 15 years, getting ready to buy another..
They're right it wouldn't be a fair fight there's only two of them.
Elantra?
was this a review or was it " how two cars make two different guys butt cracks hurt in two different ways?"
anyways i have a sentra an Yes i like its plain interior.
Best information thanks
Iam a subaru fan.But Iam sure nissan sentra is better than sivic espacialy for family.
it looks like a door stop?
Great comparison. Glad the Corolla was ruled out of this.
My Grandma would sure like the Sentra.
idk how you guys can say the sentra's interior is ugly. When it comes down to it the Sentra has more space, more equipment, cheaper, and better mpg so I would say that the winner is the sentra for most people.
play is major part taking in information
Unfair comparison, the Civic has the more expensive package while the Sentra has the cheaper package.
Yeah that lame Sentra grill is so beautiful and stylish
Civic for me
For the 2013 civic, you can only get manual with the LX. Others are all automatic.
Auto guide, I love your videos, but stop pretending that you aren't Canadian! That isn't a Civic EX-L Navi, it's a Canada-exclusive Civic Touring!
I'll take the Civic please............
For the price of the bland sentra you could own a Focus ST. The choice is
