Thank you for this. My eyes are deep set and I'm fed up of the millions of hooded eye tutorials (often tagged deep set) that don't work on me. This is invaluable. ♥
I felt her brow bone was more prominent than her actual eye shape which makes one assume it is deep set but hers seem to lean more towards hooded as an eyelid (not focusing on the brow bone) so thats why I am continuing my search for other deep set eye shape tutorials to see which one is more similar to my eyeshape. Because there are varying depths of deep set eyes as well I noticed.
I have very very prominent brow bone. Just Very masculine features, got it from my dad :) Had a hard time finding makeup for asian eyes with deep set eyes and excessive fat in the folds Thanks for this, I kep referring to my eyes as hooded. Now I know that since my brow bone is super super forward and my eyes are super deep.
Hey, I’m so glad you found the video helpful. You wanna know what’s funny? My eyes are deep set and hooded. We can have eyes that have features of 2 differnt types…and that’s even harder :) But I promise I’ll make more content for our eye type 💕
FREAKING THANK YOU I get so discouraged because so many youtubers make videos and title them "for hooded eyes" when they AREN'T. I have super, duper, hooded eyes where I have hoods, tiny ass lids, and my hoods also rest on top of my eyelashes. I got the worst of the worst but I can still do makeup. I just really get annoyed at the videos people do "for hooded eyes" when they don't have them themselves...Why do they do it...For internet clout? lmao
ahahh thank you! and please, share a photo with me on insta if you try this technique! Yes, I also get frustrated, especially when I find nothing for deepset eyes, and yet they're very common!
I’m so glad this tutorial’s helping so many people 💖 you can thank me by subscribing here and following my instagram. It motivates me to keep producing useful content for you guys! 🥰🚀
Wow your the first to help me explain how to find my correct crease for my deep set eyes.. My eyes as i get older are becoming a little hooded it was stating to confuse me.. But after looking at my younger picks and feeling my crease bone and noticing my brow bone does still come out future than my my eyes still. You've really helped me.. My crease is very low in the corner because that brow bone does go way down .. Thank you..i will be watching you for now on!!! I'm from Washington state..
Not only did this comment make my day, but it also inspired me to shoot an update to this video. See the situation you’re describing is also what I’m living: deep set, low crease, aging brow bone. I’ll film a tutorial with some tips I’ve learned to adapt makeup to this situation.
it's a very informative video indeed. his model's deep set eyes are beautiful, and slightly easier to do makeup on - mine are deep set and hooded at the same time, and I have a lot of extra skin in my fixed lid. I made this video for everyone whose eyes are not just deep set, or are similar to mine :) I hope it helped you and many more :)
I have just found out my correct eye shape, I thought I had hooded eyes. Now it all makes much more sense and I can finally get better at doing my makeup!
Hi Marisa, thank you so much for requesting this! Every look I do is for deep set eyes, you can check out the “makeup edit” playlist for that. If you have any requesti for new videos (how to, looks, techniques), please let me know. I’ll be very happy to film 💕
I have small deep set almond shaped mixed eyes. Took me forever to realize I have a complex eye shape and to figure out what eye makeup worked for me. My eyes are muuuch more deep set than yours, but I would say yours is hooded and ever so slightly deep set
Quite often, we have a mix of different eye types. So mine are both VERY deep set, but also hooded with a lot of “extra skin” on top of them. Basically, two of the hardest types to work with. Not lucky, but that’s why I made the tutorial :)
@@thelidiaedit If yours are considered very deep set than I cant imagine what mine would be considered cause mine arent hooded what so ever. Your brow bone is more prominent compared to your lid cause your lid does look more hooded from what I am seeing, whereas my brow bone is extremely prominent and my eyes are sunken underneath my brow bone. So there are varying degrees of deep set eyes as well, which makes it even more complicated.
Bom dia amiga!
Thank you thank you thank you for this video!!!! I have very deep set eyes and I have been needing to run across a video like yours for some time now. I’m also in search of eyeshadow palette’s with lighter shades. Shades that won’t make my eyes look like dark holes in my face lol. ♥️ (btw: I’m 50 years old)
😍 thank you for your comment! 😅 dark holes 😂😂 - I feel you. Yes, the best is to have a good range in the palette with only one dark color, and the rest could be light to medium. Also, at least one shimmery color to create a little dimension 😘😘
Hi Maheen, thank you. I must admit I prefer spending more on a mascara than putting on fake lashes. But when I do, I prefer either individual lashes or corner lashes (the ones that only come in half).
Hi Victoria! Unfortunately this brand’s only available in Brazil for the moment, so I got mine on a trip or also by the means of Brazilian friends who bring me makeup when they come to Europe. Let’s inundate the Océane instagram with requests for international shipping! 🤣😘
Aww I also see my brows as very low. The laminated brow look helped me create more space. And try to charge more the lower lashline, see if it does the trick. Xx
Maybe there's hope I can finally figure out a make up style that works for me?? I have very deep set eyes but figured I would stick to the hooded eye tutorials because well, I seem to have a giant hood also! But those tutorials never worked on me and I gave up and just wore mascara for years. It'd be nice to have a few different looks though. Fingers crossed!
Well there is still a problem. A big part of not being able to recreate make-u is also that influencers like you shave their eyeborws to make the space much bigger. I don't want to change mines.
Thumbnail Text: Your eyes aren't hooded, they're deep-set. Me: Actually they're both, *and* I have a very small, round face/head, *and* I'm fat. I'm moderately sure the only reason anyone can see my eyes at all is because - 🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank luck🙏🏽🙏🏽- I have huge (for my tiny face, I'm just 5'0) doe/Disney princess eyes. Today is the first time I've heard the term "down turned" so idk what it means, but knowing my luck I've got that too 😂😅😅😂
Ahaha I so understand you! The older I get the more they get down-turned. And I also have two types of shapes. Biggest struggle. Did you try the technique? Did it work for you?

This changed my life! I watched your video and tried it out. At 35 years old I'm finally using my eye shadow palettes. Thank you soooo sooo much!
Omg, I can frame this comment on my wall! I’m so so happy for you, and this feedback filled my heart with joy. Not kidding ❤️

Robert Jones makeup artist on youtube has a video on deep set eyes which is great. Explains about applying makeup to deep set eyes.

Such a helpful video! Finally I know how to apply eyeshadow to my deep set eyes.
You just made my day ❤️

😍 thanks! I’m making sure I do more tutorials for deep set eyes. Recently I did one for cat liner. Would love to get your feedback on it!

obrigada Amiga! 😘😘 acho que tem muitas pessoas que nao conhecem esse tipo de olho, é muito special e dificil de maquiar. Gostaria muito de ajudar :D
Adorei a maquiagens, o resultado ficou ótimo.

Great video! Do you have any recommendations for fake eyelashes ? I find they always graze my eyelid or just seem to never work for me.

Where are ur necklace from?
It’s a typical portuguese filigrana called “coraçao de Viana”. If you travel to Portugal, you’ll find plenty :)
Hi! I wanted to kindly ask! Where can I buy the Mariana Saad By Océane brush set and palette.

Thank you so much! Love this video it is very helpful for us that have deep set eyes.
What brush were you using when you did the first under eye liner with the grey type color?
What type of detail brush did you use for your lower lash line?
i have down turned eyes with very low brows 😭 its like no space to do anything about it
Aww I also see my brows as very low. The laminated brow look helped me create more space. And try to charge more the lower lashline, see if it does the trick. Xx

What about an eyeliner tutorial 😭
Hi! I’ll try to film it, though I’m not sure when cos I’d need someone. Eyeliner’s a hit and miss for deep set eyes, you need TIME!
Well there is still a problem. A big part of not being able to recreate make-u is also that influencers like you shave their eyeborws to make the space much bigger. I don't want to change mines.
😅 what does that have to do with being influencers? You don’t have to shave or pluck your eyebrows. They won’t change anything to the technique.
Btw - this has been my eyebrow style long before I started being a content creator.
