Eyeshadow for deep set eyes
Вставка
- Опубліковано 20 кві 2022
- Hey. SO I have deep, slightly close set eyes (in my opinnnnnnyyyyy... So today I'm showing you how to minimize that. Basically we're gonna make our eyes look a little more bright, open, lifted and less dark, deep, and tired. If that's something you're trying to achieve, well...I hope this helps then 🙃❤️

Soooo don't feel like you have to do this EXACT look, but keep in mind that a light inner corner, lid and lower lash are going to achieve the look you want. But you could literally apply these same principles with like, an all blue look. GET CREATIVE 🙌🏼🎨
Ooooo, yes please. All the color please. The louder the better.
Oh, also, does the Dominique eye primer help with dry eyelids? I got that dry, flaky trentinoin thing going on 😒
You are naturally great at explaining this stuff! Love love love your vids
Would love to see this with a variety of colors!
One Million Subscribers. It’s been a journey. Congratulations 🎊
My deep set, slightly hooded eyes with massive, pitch black under eyes is so grateful your channel exists.
😩
We should form a club.
Not trying to be weird but harsounds really pretty
But I in general like deep set droopy tired eyes 😅
@@jasmintea8825 oh, no my eyes aren’t droopy. They’re round. But I do look like I got in a fight and lost after not sleeping approx 100 years.
Me too!
Pleeeeeeeeeeease do more. There isn't enough deep set eyes representation on makeup channels.
Yes! Every tutorial is for hooded eyes!😡…please!!!
Yes agree !!!!
Yes
My low eyebrows, deep set eyes and visible-from-a-mile-away undereye bags are so grateful for this
I think people often confuse "hooded" eyes with "deep set" eyes...at least I know I did before watching waaaaay too many hours of youtube (yikes!). I thought I had hooded eyes, but came to realize that if fact I had deep set/hollow set eyes that require a bit more effort to disguise. Great video and thanks for all your great tips and tricks! xo
Actually makeup guru Andreea Ali said they are the same ?
@@Verbsdescribeus UA-cam deleted my comment for having an external link. Look up pics of people who get filler for sunken upper eyes. If they get too much filler put in they go from having hollow sunken eyes to puffy hooded eyes. That’s because hollow eyes and hooded eyes are almost opposites. It’s possible to have deep set eyes in the area near your nose, and hooded eyes on the outer side of your eye though. It might sound crazy that you can have both issues at the same time even though their opposites, but it’s true. I’m not saying that person you mentioned is a bad makeup artist, but they must not know what “deep-set eyes” means.
I second this. I have deep set eyes, that are also slightly hooded. AND I have a prominent brow bone that jutts out right in the corner of my eyes.
All those things, separately happening, haha!
So true, I think it’s one of my most watched tutorials just because there’s not enough representation. And I still think when you have both (hooded and deep set) it gets even worse: there’s literally a handful of people giving advice for this
Same. I have deep set eyes that are not hooded. I love watching tutorials, but quickly realized I could not always achieve the same looks as the videos because my eyes are different. I had to figure it out myself what looks best on me. Though once in awhile I still try different looks, like halo or glam, it's the light inner corner and dark outer v that looks the best.
I have pretty deep set eyes, so I’ll be giving this a go. My problem is that because my sockets are so deep, I have a very difficult time creating that V in the outer corner. Maybe the next deep set look you try could be more rounded? Thanks Alex!
Same here and when I do create it, it still looks bad lol.
I have exact same problem ☹️
I am 99% sure you meant "pretty deep set" as verrrrry deep set, but I initially read it as "I have pretty eyes that are deep set," and I cheered! Lol just saying both are likely true and wouldn't it be awesome if we started calling all our gorgeous deep and intensely placed eyes as "pretty." Plus, we have better prote tion from rain, dust, etc! On a practical note, just as a makeup hobbyist with deep eyes, i think you might try a C shape, instead of a V, and make your first brush stroke with the dark shadow go whereever you want the center of the C to be (where the middle of the V would be). Then blend it up into the upper half curving around your eye socket, then down, then with a big fluffy, blend the whole into more of a vague arc or semicircle shape? The goal being to make your skin next to the socket look further back, which brings your eye forward. And don't forget to take advantage of the mysterious drama that very deep set eyes can offer...
@@montananerd8244 I love your response! It’s funny, I had no idea I would describe my eyes as deep set until my sister-in-law, who is a whiz with make up exclaimed over my “deep sockets“ 😆
Yes! Mine are very deep and there can’t be a wing liner..or a v in the corner. We need a open eyed look without elongation. Help!
Not me literally thinking I wish one of my faves would upload right now and then getting this notification. Your consistency has been therapeutic
😩 Hey, I'm here for YOU ❤❤❤
Your channel is masterpiece - cannot express how much I'm enjoying your content!
😭 This literally means everything 🥺 Thank you 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️
This is exactly what I do, discovered over the years by trial and error, so it’s good to know I’m on to something! 😂 It also looks nice with a hint of highlight in the centre, right near the lashes xXx
This is literally the only channel that teaches in a way that I understand, and for my specific eye shape, and I am forever grateful 😭💖
This explains why halo looks aren’t working for me. I’ve tried so many times and I wondered why it never looked right. Really good tips.
Right! I kept trying halo looks and was so confused why I looked crossed eyed lol
Try to do them the opposite way, putting the light colour on the edges and the dark colour on the center of the lid. Halo eyes never worked for me until one day, playing with my makup, I did a halo eye that way and surprisingly it looked good
That’s a good idea, I’ll give it a go as I love a halo eyeshadow look
Honestly one of the main I reasons I started watching you is because I have relatively the same shaped eyes as you and it can be a little difficult doing some these fun trendy looks, you know? My eyeballs just weren’t made for it!! But you show how to work around that and it makes my mornings flow a little easier 🖤 could you do some tutorials on graphic liners for deep set/hooded eyes?
Pleeeeease more, more, MORE tuts for them deep and/or close set eyeballs !!!
(btw you rock, I’m a fan)
I’m so incredibly grateful for this tutorial. I’m in my early 30s and only just realized last year that I have deep set eyes and that’s why I couldn’t crack the code on how to make tutorials look the same on me.
Thank you so so much. Please bless us with more of these if you’re able, finding well done deep set eye tutorials is pretty hard to find.
My prom is tomorrow and I just tried eyeshadow for basically the first time, and I could barely see it when I opened my eyes. So I am so grateful for your help!💕
Thank you! I literally had no idea how to do anything with these deep set eyes
Hope it helps love 🙌🏼❤️
deep set eyes here with a lot of lid space 🙋🏻♀️
This is how I do my eyeshadow too.
always enjoy your videos
I have deep set, downturned, slightly hooded, and kind of close set eyes with very minimal space under my eyebrows. Thank you for this video!
YES mine are set suuuper far back in my skull, there are always shadows over my eyes so my bold eye shadows often dont stand out that much, especially since i also need glasses. thank you so much for this!!!
I finally figured out what eye shape I have (I’m a little embarrassed). I tried this out and I loved it! I’ve been struggling since high school with my eye shadow!!!
I love how you don't make things seem more complicated than they actually are. So many MUAs make their tutorials unnecessarily complicated by using 50 different shades and brushes.
I'm fasting for ramadan and this is a perfect distraction ❤❤ you look gorgeous ✨
❤
This tutorial was so helpful. I struggled to get the right shape without my eye shadow getting very muddy looking when using traditional methods. Your ability to demonstrate the placement of the darker shadow along with being more focused on the inner corner with a lighter shade has made all the difference. I hope you do more videos like this. Thanks!
Having deep set eyes (not to mention the same eye color as you!!) It’s so hard to find eye shadow styles that work for me, your videos make me feel so represented in the beauty industry!!! Thank you for showing how beautiful our eye shapes can be!!
It’s absolutely amazing how you consistently nail your desired look each and every time. You demonstrate your makeup application technique so beautifully. Thank you for sharing your skills and talent with us. I have dark, deep set eyes, so I really appreciated this video. ❤️
Your artistry is amazing, Alex.
It's literally my eyes!!! Very excited for this video. Thank you ✨
Hope it helps love! ❤
Omg ♥️ Thank you so much!
I'm very new to make-up (at 38 I'm a late bloomer!), and I very much appreciate your channel. Yours has been the only one I've decided to follow, actually. Thank you for this one, in particular. I have very deepset eyes, and my brow bone basically connects with my cheek giving my side profile this droopy eye look, and most of the eyeshadows I tried really seemed to accentuate that, which I wasn't fond of. From the front it was okay, the side not so much. This video game me some hope because I was about to give up on the eyeshadow thing altogether! Thanks!
Yes! More looks for deep set eyes please! X
Believe me, hearing Ziva get into and playing with plastic is a sound that used to annoy me when my kitty Gus would do that but I just lost him at age 19 to CKD last month, and the silence without him is deafening. If only to hear him play one more time.😭
This is a beautiful eye look, Alex💄💅🐈🐾🧶
Yess! Whenever I would do a full lid of colour or smokey eyes I'd end up hating it but I'd really love it when I did a simple winged liner with an accent of colour around. Recently started putting highlighter on the inner corner and love how it's turning out! I guess this is why I'd lean towards the Korean style of eye makeup more 🤔
Yes!! We have the same eye shape and this is literally my every day look. Almost exact colors too. Except I go in with black as my final step just on the outer third of the eye - love it
This looks exactly like my bridal makeup, which I have been trying to replicate and master. Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Literally the only makeup artist that I know of who helps us deep set hooded eye combo peeps. Helps so much. Could never learn because other channels have hooded.
I was smiling so much throughout this because this is almost EXACTLY how I do my make up, I get bored of it, but it's only way I feel looks good on me.. I have close set deep set eyes. So I know with certainty that this is a great tutorial!
You are the best makeup artist on youtube.
blessss i feel like i never know what to do with that awkward section between the inner corner and bridge of my nose so thank you for calling that out!
You're the only makeup artist I have found on UA-cam that has the same facial features (eyes and lips) as me. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it has been to find makeup that looks good on me, either because most makeup artists have had work done to these areas, and/or show makeup looks that just do not work for my face type.
I am not a very visual person, I struggle to imagine/see why makeup methods are done. I learn by physically doing things and the way you show the effects you’re going for has helped me more than any other MUA I have tried, thank you ☺️
Finally!!! An actual hood eyeshadow vid
Your tips are genuinely so helpful. Your pimple concealing video was GAME CHANGING for me. As someone with deep set eyes can’t wait to try this.
Why is this girl so extremely underrated? I´ll tell you why! She gets right into the business, doesn´t speak with a put on nasally voice, doesn´t give off all those made up faces as those whose narcissism seems to get fed by being an influencer and she´s seems like herself. What too many women/girls like today is that fake influencer who speaks with a girly voice, blows kisses and says "I´m literally obsessed!" about ALL products that they´ve been paid to promote 🙄. Alexandra, Wayne Goss and Lisa Eldridge are 3 youtubers who seem to keep it real. Thank you Alexandra! Please don´t let them change you! Some of us mature viewers appreciate the realness and the professional zoom-ins.
I was searching for a "smokey eye" video for my deep -set but not hooded eyes and that one showed ,subscribed because after 12 years of following the beauty community I came to know why smokey doesn't look good on me ...BIG THANKS ❤🌷🙏
!!!! I was just thinking the other day I need something like this. My eyes are fairly wide apart but pretty deep-set/shadowy.
I started to notice years back that light shades/ even light shimmery/glittery shades on the inner third almost just all the way up to my brow seems to be really flattering on me and I think this explains why lol
you're the only beauty "influencer" "guru" whatever it's called (i personally would call you queen but anway) that i watch every video from. you always cut the bs go straight in. make it really laid back and unique but still professional. you're funny and also explain so good and everything is very clear. honestly i fcking love you dude. you made my make up game level up and i can't thank you enough. honestly.. thank you for your videos and all the time and effort you put into it. i deeply appreciate it.
Thank you so much for this, I have deep-set AND close-set eyes!!! I could cry 😭❤️
Yes, please more tutorials for deep set eyes, it‘s something I can‘t find that often 🥰
Okay, so I’ve been doing a basic eye for years with different colors. I came across this and figured I’d give it a try. I truly noticed such a difference. It really opened up my close set eyes and made my eye lifted. It’s amazing how the direction of those shadows just change your whole face.
I love that you encourage bringing that lift, instead of just sticking with the basics like we’ve been mostly taught through the years. There ain’t no strict rules here with makeup. Do what suits your individual eyes.
I have close set/deep set eyes and intuitively I've always been placing my shadow like this. Even the lower lash line shimmer in the inner part 😍 It really lightens everything up! Ofc I like experimenting with makeup, but when I really wanna try to look my best, this is what I do 😅
What i get from this and the hooded eyes videos is: use sparkly stuff)) I dont know why i havent thought of this simple thing, but thank you a lot!
And i guess my mom was onto something when she was buying mostly shimmery eyeshadows :)
I love how close you are to the camera. I can actually see what you're doing! You are beautiful, by the way.
Thank you for making this tutorials for those of us with deep-set eyes. Going to try out this look soon. Please more deep set eye tutorials!
You are a savior for those of us with deep set eyes… more, please! And thank you💐
I didn't know I had deep set eyes until one day I took my glasses off and someone said I had a very "gaunt" look, almost "skeleton like"... 😂 I took it as a compliment lol.
So thanks for the tutorial lovely 💜💜
10/10 explanation, I've been watching a couple of your videos recently and they honestly have helped me so much. A lot of other makeup tutorials make it hard for me to understand but the way you explain it is so thorough to the point even a child could understand. Much love!! and honestly thank you for making these videos 🥲
Yesssss please, more looks for close / deep set eyes would be magnificent. Thank you. You rock so hard. ❤️
Thank you! This is very helpful!
I so appreciate that you seem to have videos for everything 😭
🥹 I appreciate that you appreciate that 🙏🏼💜
Love this. I have very deep and close set eyes and it's great to see someone do their eyes the same way I do. I didn't know why I did it that way. I just knew it's how I thought it looked best. Although I turned 40 last year so having some trouble with shimmers and glitter highlighting my fine lines.
This is why i love your channel ❤️
please do more, i have deep set eyes as well and this was so helpful
Alexandra thank you for this. I really didn’t wear eyeshadow for what seems like a couple years, and lately when I tried to, it just never turned out the way I wanted it to. Watching this made me realize I have deep set eyes (I knew I had hooded lids due to aging, but never realized I have BOTH), and the strategies made SUCH a difference when I applied them today! Total confidence booster for the skillset. Thanks for teaching this aging dog some new tricks! Appreciate you!
yesssss exactly what I want for my wedding makeup!!!
Yay! Congrats love! You'll look gorg 😘
Yes please! By all means. More deep set eyes 🙏
sat down to get ready and this popped up. exactly what i needed!!!
Handy tutorial! I am a total nub in makeup, with only 2 Sephora brushes, and I consider myself pretty clumsy, but the result I got after this tutorial is pretty wearable! 🤩 And I'll definitely do it again and watch your other tutorials. Thank you so much 💖
This is awesome! Your videos have helped me so much. Please consider a video for close set eyes. A health condition recently caused me to gain unwanted weight and I feel like my face is now very small, and my eyes look even closer together. :(
ALEX! Thank you! I have been so stumped on what makeup look to do for my wedding in a week...and I think this is the one!
yes please on more for deep-set eyes!!
Just came across this video after desperately trying a plethora of shades and tips and tricks and...still having my eyes look like shoot. Tried your tip that suggested blending some foundation on the eye area...BY GOD I LOOK LIKE A NEW PERSON! Thank you so much, now several other makeup styles that looked bad on me look good! Gained a new sub
thank you for another tutorial Alex! I love that you cover every nuance a person could have when applying makeup and not focusing only on your own. I wish you inspiration to keep up with the good work you do ❤️
I love that you bring the camera really close so we can see everything
Sometimes I watch other YTers and you can barely see anything
I have SO MUCH “real estate” in that area. You’re the only UA-camr with similar um structure of the eyes/eye area, mine is way more puffy though.
Very educational 😊 this is the kind of tutorial I show to my mom when she asks me how to do makeup. You’re doing a great job of combining all those little tips and tricks and explaining them in a way that’s easy to follow
Hi gorgeous!! I don't know how you find new things to teach but you always help with different techniques. I appreciate you so much. Such a generous, beautiful woman you are. THANKS 😊
Congratulations on hitting 1 mil beautiful 🤩 🏆
i mean this was very helpful, but i needed to point out that you have really pretty eyes💕. thanks for the tips, keep up the good work!
You are the first person I have seen with brown bones kind of similar to mine. I want to have actually sharp eyeliner and nice shadow looks that don't make it look like my eyes are even further in my head lol thank you for this
i have been doing this for years without realizing my eyes were deep set, i just didn‘t like how my eyes looked if i did my makeup any other way. it makes me happy that a) now i know, and b) there are people who make tutorials to help those who don‘t think „okay, trial and error, let‘s do this and that differently🤷🏻♀️“ and give explaination of why it works how it works.
I have really deep set round eyes and ALWAYS do my eyeshadow like this. I love it.
I hadn't done a look loike this in a while and when I was done I was like....damn....ok.....I'm obsessed with this 😂🙌🏼
@@AlexandraAnele looks awesome.
Queeeeeeeeeeen oh my goodness thank yoooooou. I've been. Struggling with how to shield the appearance of my deep set undereyes. Much appreciated 🙌
I love how educational your videos are & how easy you make it to understand the concepts you’re talking about
Yes! More on deepset eyes, esp. Mine are sort of average distance apart.
THANK YOU! I'm just going to pretend you did this just for me 😊 I've been trying to copy Beautsoup because I have her eye shape and I love how she gets that ethereal wideset eye look. I've been focusing on lightening up the very inside corner, but not the dark on the outer corner. I personally would love more deep set looks, especially with color because I love how you do color.
I would love a video for hooded close set deep set eyes , or just more for deep set. Maybe some more on color correcting? Focusing on how much product to use would be great. Every time I color correct unless I use mounds of powder my makeup slides around. This look is lovely I'm definitely going to be trying it!!!
slowly learning to do proper eyeshadow looks on my very stupid eye shape from your videos😭
they're like deep set, pretty hooded and VERY round (as in the crease gows down further than the actual outer corner of my eye???) so i basically can't recreate any look i see on someone else because my eye shape is just so weird. Your videos have already helped SO MUCH with figuring out how to work with that! Thank you so much!
this video is like. my bible of eyeshadow technique
As a man I have deep set hooded eyes and they are quite close together. This is exactly how I do my eyes. Thank you for the tips tho hun. Love you. 🖤🖤🖤
I originally followed for the deep-set/dark undereyes makeup, and realized we also have a bunch of other similarities (small chin, olive complexion, heart shape that looks round with weight gain etc.) and basically I am forced to be obsessed with you as my personal MUA guru! You also restored my faith in chopping my hair off, which I've been secretly wanting to do since I saw Natalie Imbruglia's Torn video. 🥰 🤘
thank you for this! I've always skipped eyeshadow because the way I apply it just makes my eyes look darker and rounder, but I'm going to try this technique!
Please do an on the go no makeup look on this. For daily office use. Thanks! And which brushes to go with it.
I love the way you explain everythinggggg in detail
This is a beautiful look on you. Glam love the cool tone brown that you used to deepen the outer eyes.
I’d love to see a rainbow look or a look with a very bright pop of color 🙏🏼
I love your tutorials x
Fun add-on (would love to see you demo it with your expertise added!) to this look, esp for close & deep set 👁🗨 with aging lids: dab-stamp on a thinnn line of bright metallic/chrome liner over the light shadow, just one or two dabs with a long brush (transfer to a skinny liner brush if you have doe foot products), that will brighten & enlarge your perceived eye area. Then, add a "twinkle" to your eyes by dotting on a few teensy dabs of a liquid fine glitter shadow, only over about 1 cm in the middle of lid - you want to actually dab on microscopic sized pieces of glitter so that some are standing up, not lying smooth. Smooth = bright and light, but adding a few tiny chunks in an uneven fashion (it somehow conceals wrinkly lids, it doesn't magnify mine at all) will get light to dance over a tiny area, close enough to your actual eye that you'll appear to have a literal twinkle. It's great behind glasses (traitor! Heehee) and looks so polished and youthful and lively. Also, do not go past 1 cm for this look, once a pattern of glitter is visible, it will just look cheap + chunky on aging or small eyes, this is all about adding just the eeeensiest amounts of super shiny eye product to the lash line. My liquid products gunk up faster than I can use them with this very frugal method, I will be buying only one chrome and one glitter at a time now lol - you really won't use much product at all. But I thought I had to give up on super shiny glitter liner due to wrinkles, and now I use this technique most days to fake bright, big, happy eyes 😂 and I save my glitter pencil liners to use as quick & easy cream shadow on days when it's a fast pencil liner & one swipe of shadow on the lid & gotta go...
Wow Alex, that was sooooo helpful, really great, you really made that so clear, I've been dealing with the deepest set eyes, and never had this explained so clearly,it's so appreciated & of course if you've got more to share on this, I'ld love to know. Again thanks so much!
Oh my gosh! My deep set eyes are riveted 👀
Freaking A..... I am SO grateful for you!!! Blessings to you!!! ✌️💚🙏
PLEASE PLEASE MORE OF THIS!!! One with pinky colors, one with peachy, one with green colors and one with blue-r(?) colors. My eye shape is so similar to yours and I struggle so much with eye makeup 😞💔
Great tutorial, i have deep set eyes too and would love to see a tutorial with colours or how to use eye liner for deep set eyes
